Why?
Whats even cooler is if you look at early concept art, raimi wanted the injuries even worse akin to body horror. One showed that the tentacles combined with his flesh and had draping skin all over them. Another was the harness was fused around his torso and melted into his flesh instead of needles bound to his spine. The most disturbing one though is the tentacles being more like cyberpunk wires that are holding Ock's body together as the injuries left almost NOTHING left of him. Thankfully all these were scrapped as we would have all been traumatized
He was a horror director remember
@@jamiebowler4693 I know but even for raimi it was REALLY disturbing
where can i find these
@@romeropluto Google. Type in raimi doc ock concept art
One thing I wonder is if the accident also gave Otto a degree of superhuman resistance. I mean, he was punched several times by Peter, a guy with super strength and electrocuted two times, one in his final battle with Peter and the other when Electro attacked him
Maybe something like what happened to that guy from kick ass, he still takes damage but can't feel it.
Only thing I can think of is the tentacles connected to his brain and turned his pain receptors off and made it harder for him to be knocked out or something. It doesn’t make sense otherwise why he can tank punches from spider man 💀
Its explained in the Novel, he actually is knocked out multiple Times by Peter but the Tentakel wake him back up😅
Spider-Man holds back on his punches.
With the part about the weight of the arms and its effect on Otto`s body, along with the lower arms assisting in distributing the weight, i imagine thats why the two lower claws reconfigure into a wider, sturdy shape instead of the plated, tapered claws.
What's really cool is that even if the arms are not attached to his Back he still has mental control of them even Out Of Reach due to the fusion experiments that he was conducting
I like how each tentacle is it’s own creature . You can see how each one behaves individually by the movements. They even pur, screech and growl subtly you can hear when Doc Oct is talking to Peter in the river
Dude I love your videos, it's actually crazy that you don't have millions of subs (yet anyway)
You read my mind on the subscribers for this channel.
Im sorry was laughing in the beginning your accent when you say body sounds like you said what happened to his booty when I was in the kitchen 😂
I love your videos, keeping with the Spider-Man trend you should do a video on peters transformation in the short horror film “the spider”
Can’t thank you enough for this explanation
bro I've seen you commenting on too many videos, and your comments are all same.
Frakenstein's Monster story rebirthed and retold yet again.
Fans say doc oct new tentacle is the strong one, and his human body is still mere human. Then i remember he took spiderman punch, fall from high building to moving train, smash with table through wall did nothing to him.
I would love to have real ones of them
YESSS!
Do ghost rider
I actually never thought about it ever, between the movies and the comics, but how heavy *ARE* those arms? He's supposed to be a normal human, and mildly older at that. And for sure not an athlete 😂
poor man
Can someone finally bring up the thought on why Octavius doesn’t get hurt by Spider-Man’s punches is because the arms turn off Otto’s pain sensors so that he doesn’t feel pain and is numb during fights? Or is that not possible even in comic book movies? I haven’t heard anyone talk about this being the answer why he doesn’t get hurt whatsoever. And Spider-Man can’t knock him out because he still cares about Otto not to do that otherwise it’ll kill him. That’s my theory.
That still doesn't explain why his body was resistant to getting bruises, cuts, and/or broken bones.
@@shawn092182 the broken glasses one always got me 😂
But at least ain’t may brought some realism to that part a little bit when she got him. I guess he’s not impervious to umbrellas but not Spider-Man punches 😂
This Doctor Octopus become evil from AI in his tentacles
Its dr octavius or doc oct
ok
