The reason he look as he does , is thendevil wanted him to always see ansbbenreminded of what happened to him, by who, and why he lost his wife. It's another way to get him to do what he does best, kill.

Spawn honestly was one of the darkest shows i ever saw as a kid. Like there was a whole child predator abducting and killing children.

The movie was hit and miss. They really weren't ready for the CG revolution quite then and a lot of the special effects were horrendous. The story was fine, bit watered down (they wanted a PG-13 rating after all). Still, interesting video.
I don't think they have to be burned in the living world to get the armor because first his skin is rotting not burnt and second it is more likely that when malbolgia puts the suit on it burns the person it is hell after all makes sense the armor would burn away there flesh
