Moonstone Island is a creature-collecting life-sim set in an open world with 100+ islands to explore. Make friends, brew potions, collect Spirits, and test your strength in card-based encounters to complete your Alchemy training! It's Like Stardew Valley Mixed With Pokémon, Zelda & Animal Crossing. It's a super fun Faming game like Stardew or Coral Island, so I decided I needed to do a challenge run for it!

@@juststardust9816You could spend years play testing a game and there'd still be glitches and bugs, it's unavoidable because there's so many elements interacting at once and you can't account for everything. A lot of exploits are often things overlooked because it's something a dev didn't consider. There's a big difference between a small group of programmers vs everyone playing the game after all!
@@SimuLord I doubt they even knew those bugs were possible. A demo isn't just to build hype. Allowing tons of players access to a game means hundreds of free bug testers. Finding bugs can be just as hard as fixing them

@@MasumiSeike probably more often than they voice it. I think it happened with the Half Life 2 Devs in particular, though. There is a video out there of them reacting to a world record run where they say something along that line.
I once soft locked in a way the devs never saw possible. dont remember if they fixed it or not
@@tripletsborn4628 Hahahah this is exactly what happened in Neon White! The devs were watching a world record run and talking about the last level and how they made sure that you can't cheese it, and the speedrunner did 3 skips 😂
The best way for finding bugs and glitches is letting a speedrunner playtest it
I feel like this could be a whole new category of speed running.

there was one youtuber who'd try to 100% a game within the timelimit so they could Refund it from the steamstore :D
The main problem is that a lot of demos don’t allow full access to the game like this one does, they are essentially stand alones with only a small slice of the actual game
I’m pretty sure theres a demo category for Minecraft as that’s another where it’s possible to do the whole game

Please devs dont remove the broom flight glitch, speed runners and cheesers will thank you immensely.
I'm sure speedrunners will find more glitches. It's a trick of the trade.

they should make a system where in easy mode, enemies are given 1 mana, medium their given 2 mana and hard mode their given 3 mana
I low key hope they keep the broomswitch glitch in some way in the final game. (Maybe a secret code or a hidden item or something)

Many developers forget that cheating is not necessarily a problem in games as long as the players are having fun.
It feels both a bit too easy and powerful in its current form. An end game super broom that doesn't lose speed would be cool though.

I was just at the beginning of him introducing the game and I accidentally clicked the slider and got somewhere near the end and saw him setting everything on fire

14:05 I am irrationally upset that the type chart is not set up with the elements in order. "Fire beats Ice" should be followed by "Ice beats Poison" so you don't have to skip around the lines to find the circle.

I wanna thank you for keeping the spoilers to a minimum in a video where you beat he game, I hadn't heard of this game until this video and I'm fully sold on it now!
I think it's pronounced Gem-lin like priceless gems like ruby and emerald gems
That would make sense because it is a geode
However, gemlin as in grovel makes it sound closer to gremlin.
Gem-lin sounds most correct with its looks as well.
The gags are top notch in this video, this is the most I’ve laughed in a while and I’m only ten minutes in!

There was once a game called Paul's Mission. The battles were easy because all you had to do was "Call the hand of God", it instakilled them. Though it may be accurate it wasn't very thrilling.

I picked Capacabee as my starter, you can never go wrong with electric types. Just finished playing the demo yesterday at a much more casual pace. This games is definitely a day one full price purchase for me. Can't wait till it's released.
And I would probably be a good idea for fishbo to be a land surveyor as an Easter egg.
Fun and useful fact replaying this, pick up all chests you collect from the fancy boss chest sells for 300 and the regular chest sell for 50 and they can both be used for storage in your not so humble abodes.

Was the Demo available for 7 real-life days? Because i operated under the assumption that you had 7 in-game days before the demo deleted your safefile.
If you had 7 whole IRL days, let alone all the dungeons, wouldn't you be able to easily 100% the entire thing in that timeframe? Like, people 100%-ed BotW or Stardew in under 24 hours.
Or was it both 7 days in-game and IRL? That would make sense.
it's both 7 days in game, and also the demo was available for 7 days IRL before being taken off Steam

Also Ooblets is more creature collector than farm game. It has farming but also has turn based card 'combat' like this except it's all dance battles. Very good chill and uber wholesome game, it's helped me through some very hard times when I couldn't do much else. 😊

Ive always wanted to do something like this
Am I the only one that noticed his mistake with the broom switch glitch? Bro, you switch to your balloon to maintain the speed while it only uses the stamina of the balloon right? Then after that, why not auto sort, so it puts your hammer in that slot, like you did the first time so then you get fast balloon that uses NO STAMINA. As someone that has found and developed many glitches and glitch strats, I must say, you always have to explore how you could combine and mix various glitches.
the glitch didn’t work like that, if you switched a third time, it would retain the properties of the original item (in this case the broom) meaning you would just be frozen in mid air. I actually did use this to my advantage several times though as it would allow you to change directions
