Its like this with alot of roleplay things. Thats why i love being a passive spectator most of the time. Whats the point in a play if no one gets to see it?
2:00:02 Hey that's me! The arrow is literally pointing right at me! I remember that moment - I was with the Commonwealth, specifically Mykonos, and we were fighting for Infernus (obviously). Sitz (the guy to the right of me) was actually the leader of Mykonos and I think the Commonwealth (I can't remember atm), and he unfortunately died in the battle. I somehow survived, and I even managed to escape the island without encountering the head hunters. It's crazy how big this event was, I never even knew about you guys (my loss) and only vaguely about Harborbloom. Most of my time was spent building our capitol, the Acropolis, so I didn't interact with many other nations. Great video, I was not expecting to actually see myself in it!

It's CRAZY how much was behind the cartel that I never knew!! Maple syrup sales and OSHA violating bakery shenanigans go hard :D (Canadian Cartel 🤝 Bun Bun Bakery)
I absolutely love the role playing aspect of this, like a passer by asking where someone is, or the pirates remembering your teamwork. It makes it feel so cool and so much like a TV show.
wait this is actually peak, despite most of these interactions being genuine an actual overarching coherent storyline managed to form, and all the "characters" had great development despite it not being scripted. now i actually want to see you 4 sell more drugs alongside the bakery people. great work dude
Ahoy, CasualPotato98 'imself here. First off, great video mate, well done on the editin'. Ya should definitely make a POV of your next event - this was incredible, and absolutely insane for your first video. Just a couple things/corrections I'd like to say for anyone curious a bit more as to the context of what happened from my POV; 1. The crew I led - "The Bloods of Greed" were, to simplify a crew based around loyalty by blood to one another. I tested that loyalty a bit too much however - and when I asked who was willing to come along to help me kill the leader of the Pirate's Republic, I's should've been more suspicious of how ready everyone was to fight with me. In me own eyes - I wasn't mutinous - I'd never even met Ciarán at that point in person, all I knew was he was trying to absorb all pirates into one group which isn't what I wanted. 2. This isn't well known, but I never actually stole that bit o' sugarcane! The only place I *did* steal from was Steambird - to me knowledge, to this day, no-one actually ever caught the true thieves, the crew pinned it on me to manipulate the cartel into feeling like they should help. 3. When I was first attacked - I indeed was stunned. Again, the idea of being betrayed literally never crossed me mind, and lookin' back it's incredible how much emotion comes through in the Minecraft skin o' all things when I stare at my first mate Aleegi (56:53), I genuinely felt a deep terror, and it's still the most emotional I's felt in an event to this day. I was, quite literally, backstabbed by the only person I thought I could absolutely trust, followed by almost the entire crew along with ~5-7 strangers chasing after me, which is why as you can see I didn't actually place my own boat - I went in an existing cherry one which happened to be turned the other way, leading to Aleegi barely stopping me from escaping. Again, great video, an' I'm going to specifically call out Jupugsa here as the lad who stayed loyal to me to the end. Cheers for takin' the time to read this, wherever ya find yourselves on the seas, an' have a damn mighty day! o7 o7 o7 *"FOR THE ACCURSED COAST!"* 🏴☠🩸
Can confirm for all watching, having met Casual afterwards, they weren't the thief and I just got lied to. Was kinda funny to learn that we'd killed an innocent man afterwards! It wasn't mentioned for story purposes (as we didn't learn until after the event), but setting the record straight Casual was innocent (of at least that crime, probably) No beef, and sorry we murdered you? Even though it got us 12 diamonds......actually, maybe we aren't sorry :3 (its a bit, genuine) Cannot believe you stole my sugarcane smh, literally nothing is sacred in State
I dunno what I was expecting when I started this, but seeing as I watched it to the end, I’d say this was worth it. 11/10 best Minecraft movie I’ve seen. Thanks for your great editing and taking the time to film it.
@@InRainbowsYTincredibly ballsy behavior to harass the cartel, sell their products and make your own drug den, continuing this process even after they become national heroes to the Pirates for their hand in preventing the mutiny, and even ESCAPING THEM i kneel before his incredible courage
I've watched a lot of minecraft videos of this genre. this has to be one of the best produced, edited, and funny video i've seen. To have this as a first upload is incredible to see and i wish you tremendous success with your channel sir. Well done.
The repeated “you’re not going to kill me, are you?” going unanswered and unanswered, each small step forward and a wavering voice. You would think you were pointing a knife through the monitor
this is unironically better than the bottom 80% of civilization videos, and you're just one guy giving his perspective. the narration, superb. the editing, immaculate. absolute cinema
There is something really refreshing about seeing it from the point of view of a small scale group of players caught in the middle of things instead of the major political scale focusing mainly on the leaders. Doubly so with the fact there is an actual flow to the narrative with killing Casualpotatoes after the setup then causing Rygold to further spiral into insanity and the way they all die one by one except the point of view character
@@plugshirt1762 literally perfect storytelling especially with the events that unfolded. As you said as well, it is so refreshing to see a civilization video from the pov of a small group, you only ever really see it from the admins’ pov so you dont get to see how the players really feel, but holy fuck this was awesome
@@Jervenshmine That's why I'm not really a fan of Sword4000's videos as they feel especially detached from the players themselves compared to a channel like Ish where there is a healthier balance between character focus and the wider political events.
I felt so many emotions. This better than blue lock season 2. Actually, better than a lot of media. Love you for making this. I almost cried too many times
The ending with there only being Micro left is downright tragic. Didn't expect to feel such somber emotions in the final treck from after the war to the end.
I wasn't expecting the video to be this good. Unironically had great pacing with the setup of each character with distinctive roles in the group and the cartel forming. The way Potato became so hated by Neptune to having an actual reason to kill him that boosted the cartel to the next level and how Rygolde got pushed further into insanity by the drugs to the point of killing himself was so good. The ending felt like some Red Dead Redemption stuff with how each member of the group died except one. It's really interesting to see a civilization video from the point of view of people who just get caught up in the conflict as opposed to the major political players and seeing just how pointless all the loss feels to players not invested one way or another
im so glad you said red dead redemption as i thought of banana as arthur morgan planter as hosea neptune as micah and micro as dutch it just felt so right
@@RioJay-lu1kb lmao that's crazy I was thinking they matched the same way. Banana really felt like the protagonist with how he was central in every major plot point and suffered the most loss only to start turning things around but dying from his loyalty to Micro. Planter felt like the voice of reason keeping things together while Neptune was pushing Micro more and more toward his worst tendencies as he leads them all to their death. The only thing missing is a John Marston member that killed Micro at the end. I saw it from the perspective of Pierce who was the guy that killed Banana they didn't even realize the people at the bottom of the mountain they were slaughtering were those we weren't fighting in the first place. It was a bit saddening to see he got away unscathed in the end.
First of all i cried when Neptune, banana and panzer died, and cried when i realised that you didn’t make any more videos. This was an absolute masterpiece and would like to see more. Liked and subbed. Love savage❤
@@hughderks5001 Thanks a lot, it means a ton to me that you enjoyed my work! I think, despite it all, the ending is still uplifting in a way, so I hope it didn’t make you too sad. May the sun never fall on the Canadian Cartel indeed. 🇨🇦
@@Metroid1310 I know, but I feel like that's not enough definitive proof. There is a number of ways they could have gotten their hands on the RV's supplies, without being the one who personally raided it. Although they're still the biggest suspect.

This was such a grind to watch all at once, yet I never once got bored. Thank you for this beautiful movie. Can’t wait to see how your story may be shown in Ish’s video.
Fantastic video,!!! I'm a sucker for seeing misadventures of a small group of people trying to make do when there's larger than stake plot going about. Also makes the ending hit a lot harder since it makes the 'main conflict' of the war against other nations feel so overwhelmingly imposing when you compare it to small-guys just trying to make a living
Wow, this comment is awesome. So cool to know you picked up the vibe I was trying to convey of “small-time guys getting wrapped up in something much bigger than them” - which is honestly how we felt the whole event. Happy you enjoyed the video, and thanks so much for leaving this reply!
@@Microghost_ Ayy, and when that 'something' hit you did a good job showing the damage. How, regardless of your friends stance, they still got slaughtered (which, even if unplanned, is a good dose of cruel realism), showing how empty the stalls and community were as you trudged back, the lonely walk back to home without your pals and meeting with other survivors who lost people. Not sure if Ish's vid will capture it, but yours for sure showed the actual downsides of even winning a war, especially for the 'small-fries' that got wrapped up in it - there's no real happy ending
This man actually has to be dutch van der linde in rdr2 Started out good and hopeful, turned mad by greed and war. Losing everyone he cared for. This video brought tears into my eyes

Not me crying at the "haha let's sell weed in Minecraft video" but seriously, it's been said many times and can't be overstated you did amazing. Your editing and story telling here is very fun and engaging. The viewer can tell that you and your friends had fun making it. And you balanced the line between fun goofy and taking the event, strategy and roleplay seriously enough that it keeps people invested. Like I said I was actually moved at the end and that wasn't an accident or me being emotional (well maybe a little). That was hard work paying off. Thank you for sharing your work with us and I look forward to seeing other videos from you!
Death, Betrayal, Friendship, Business. This is like a movie, it should be in theaters its actually peak!!!!!! 11/10 didnt have a single thought to leave the whole time!!! (thats rare for long videos since they usually get boring)
Okay, I just finished watching the video, I’ll admit it. I cried. Your MUSIC CHOICE DUDE!!! And the angles for the footage and… This is FANTASTIC! No wonder it took a year of work! This is genuinely SO good and I hope you’re able to carry on the skills you acquired through making this video to whatever else you want to make! :D
An group of outlaws indeed… but with honor none the less. Congrats on the great journey you four undertaken. And I must say. That was a very kind thing you did accomplishing your friends goal for him.
1:22:12 this interaction made me so sad for zakarious he was my favorite character and the plot twist and the repeated “you’re not gonna kill me are you?” With the weary voice NOOOOO
I dont know if you are going to see this, but i just want to say this is a masterpiece of a video. The sheer amount of raw emotion i felt watching it is insane and i would love to see more from all of yall. Zacharias repeatedly asking if he was going to be killed was when i knew this was going to be a great video and the epilogue had me on the verge of tears. Thank you
This was genuinely one of the best civ pov vids I've ever watched, the level of character development, the brilliant storytelling, the increasing (and falling) obsession of neptune over sugarcane, the unfulfilled promise banana made to his parrots he left behind were super touching and absolute cinema. If this was your first foray into long vids, damn I can't wait to see your next one!
True so far one of my favorites putting Ramun8's 2e2g perspective from 1st place to 2nd place in my opinion. Like I'm obsessed with these perspective videos after I've seen a couple of kainukeis
Haha I considered splitting it into parts, but I think it turned out much better as one big video. I’m super glad you had a good time watching, and thanks for taking the time to drop a comment!
This story is so engaging. I've never felt bored for a moment. A real gem in all those civilization videos. The only imperfection is that we don't know who exactly was a thief that had stolen all the things under the RV. One of the most important points in the entire plot, that directly led to the downfall of the cartel and we don't know who did it. I mean, maybe it's just me but I'm really absorbed by this mystery. I have to know the guy. I'm really looking forward to more content.
Bro... This was awesome. For years now, I've been looking for a show/movie that can bring my back to my past since things haven't been that great and I never expected it from a video. I thank you dude :)
Im so happy this got recommended to me by youtube cus this is a minecraft master piece(they should use this as minecraft movie idea called breakingcraft)
Cant believe i just watched a video for 2 hours straight about a drug cartel going through the highs and lows of business, preventing an assassination, selling drugs to a bakery, getting involved in a war, and having a presidential candidate get addicted to drugs, get lost to psychosis, and commiting suicide via drowning. Best video ever, 10/10, would watch again.
Just under an hour in and I gotta say the storytelling in this is genuinley astonishing. So many small details that I remember seeing and thinking “oh that seems odd why didn’t he edit that out?” and then 20 minutes later getting an unexpected payoff to that seemingly random setup! You really have a knack for deciding what moments to focus on to get me invested in a bunch of people roleplaying in a minecraft event. Im shocked this is your first video and I really hope to see more from you!
One of the best cinematic experiences ive had in a while, seeing Rygold's plot line progress was tragic and his death heart breaking. And the crews reactions to it from indulging his every desire to morning the death they caused its so tragically realistic. This is some of the best work ive seen on youtube period, amazing job.
I thought this would be some comedic gold of a ~20 minute civilization video. How wrong was… the only “gold” I found, was in the form of amazing story telling. I shed a single tear after they returned to the island after the fall of the cartel.
I am in awe, you have actually made a whole movie with a plote and story. Rise, with the RV, having fun and your alliance with the pirates. You were known throughout the lands and were respected. Neptune started his mental unstability after his suger cain broke, but wasnt that big of a deal. I have to say that the death of Potato was your peak. But it went down hill. The members argued more. It was divided into people joking around, and serious people who wanted power and greed. Your downfall started with the person who lost his elections. Overpowered with greif started his syrup addiction. Adding up to white powder and soforth. We died after drowning himself insted of quiting. Then things got more serious. Then you were robbed. That tore the cartel apart. But micro hopped on wealth, wanting it back. He wanted loot. While the others wanted to rebuild. This is the lowest of the cartel. Neptune charged his way into inferno. Still thinking about all the anger hes builted up, and the mental unstability. He died in lava, dying and fighting untill his last breath. Micro stayed behind. Then Infernus warriors creeped into the neutral zone. They aimed to kill every last person as revenge. They slaughtered many. Including Bannana, Panzer, and L0ng. Micro left in guilt, and regret. Seeing what he had done. He wanted to go to war for his greed. But costed more than anything he wouldve thought. He went back to tricolor and stole the crown off of the statue of there deceased leader. He put the same exact gold blocks on their grave. and admited to it, but got pardoned. He went back to the original island. He planted neptunes suger cain. He placed his head infront of his abandoned parots. As the wold came to a end. His last thoughts were what he done, and thought about his freinds.
I just finished watching this at exactly 12 o'clock this was awesome, I can really see the effort it has to take to make something like this and it's very appreciated. Zacharias did have to get his revenge back though. "Oh, Sky Canada" Death by lava is crazy for all that's happened.
I'm honestly shocked that this was the first and (as of now) the only video of the channel. You guys were so professional and amazing at keeping the drive going!!!

Holy shit, this is probably the best Minecraft video I’ve seen, maybe even best RUclips video I’ve seen. The build up to the ending was so good, I’m trying not to swear but god it’s hard. The part where most of the players that they have encountered throughout their journey meeting up, or just being at the same place, was just so…. Fucking amazing. The editing felt like an actual movie, especially at the end. I fucking cried at the end, well fucking done, I cannot express how good this was. We need more. Thank you for making this video.

When I clicked on this video, I expected some funny gameplay of People selling stuff in Minecraft, but what I got in return was one of the greatest pieces of cinema my eyes have ever had the privilege to watch. It not only has the seriousness of any good action movie, but it also has the unseriousness of any good comedy. I would watch this over any movie ever, I have no idea how you take a silly little game like Minecraft, and turn it into this. 10/10 Edit: I still have more to say This video isn’t like your typical story or movie with a happy ending, instead, it is about our protagonist who goes on this great journey with his friends, but once this journey spirals into something much bigger than they expected, all of the protagonists friends die, and he has to come to terms with their deaths, this video is truly beautiful.

I absolutely love the role playing aspect of this, like a passer by asking where someone is, or the pirates remembering your teamwork. It makes it feel so cool and so much like a TV show.

True
Ahoy, CasualPotato98 'imself here.
First off, great video mate, well done on the editin'. Ya should definitely make a POV of your next event - this was incredible, and absolutely insane for your first video. Just a couple things/corrections I'd like to say for anyone curious a bit more as to the context of what happened from my POV;
Cheers for takin' the time to read this, wherever ya find yourselves on the seas, an' have a damn mighty day! o7 o7 o7
*"FOR THE ACCURSED COAST!"* 🏴☠🩸
Can confirm for all watching, having met Casual afterwards, they weren't the thief and I just got lied to. Was kinda funny to learn that we'd killed an innocent man afterwards! It wasn't mentioned for story purposes (as we didn't learn until after the event), but setting the record straight Casual was innocent (of at least that crime, probably)
No beef, and sorry we murdered you? Even though it got us 12 diamonds......actually, maybe we aren't sorry :3 (its a bit, genuine)

Literally cinema
this is unironically better than the bottom 80% of civilization videos, and you're just one guy giving his perspective. the narration, superb. the editing, immaculate. absolute cinema
@@plugshirt1762 True
@@plugshirt1762 literally perfect storytelling especially with the events that unfolded. As you said as well, it is so refreshing to see a civilization video from the pov of a small group, you only ever really see it from the admins’ pov so you dont get to see how the players really feel, but holy fuck this was awesome
@@Jervenshmine That's why I'm not really a fan of Sword4000's videos as they feel especially detached from the players themselves compared to a channel like Ish where there is a healthier balance between character focus and the wider political events.

Yeah it was one hell of an ending. Atleast the bonus content cheered us up lol.
SKY CANADA

One of the best cinematic experiences ive had in a while, seeing Rygold's plot line progress was tragic and his death heart breaking.
His last thoughts were what he done, and thought about his freinds.
this is peak cinema
