I just found your channel today and I'm hooked. Listening to you is like listening to an old friend. I love the fact that you don't have music in the background. I enjoy the ramblings, makes me feel normal, I talk to the fabric, myself and to anyone around while im sewing. I'm from the US, 63 years young and enjoy learning new things. Have a wonderful day.
Welcome so lovely to have you here. I don't like music in videos either, especially not when someone is speaking so it won't ever be something I will do. I am so happy you enjoy the ramblings and witterings. 😁❤️

I love your idea of making 52 weeks of a meditative little stitching piece. I will try to start now, but it may turn into 12 pieces with one piece a month for me. Thank you for your inspiration!!! I love everything you do!
All of your "containers" are so yummy and beautiful! The fat round one is a stunner, inside and out. Looks like an organza type of fabric with a stitch lace-like border, made as a dresser doily or table runner. A perfect piece for your rolled journal, no matter how it began it's life :) Thank you for all you share with us in every video.
My pleasure, yes that journal cover is several layers, old flannel sheet, wool blanket and a wide piece of lace, dyed with onion skins. It's still my favourite. ❤️

It's a wonderful moment when you find there are new friends who understand what others are calling 'your messy hoarders nest of lint' (because I'm sure all of Us have heard just that phrase from the creativity lacking critics)
Hello K3N. New subscriber here. I’m recuperating at home from a period of illness and I felt the need to attempt some crafting but my poorly hands wouldn’t allow me to return to crochet just yet. I’d found the concept of slow stitching on YT recently and so thought I’d give it a little go. I didn’t think that I had much fabric\scraps to work with so my Amazon cart was pretty full with felt, fat quarters, ribbons, buttons, lace etcetera just waiting for me to press “buy”. Something made me return to YT to investigate more the art of slow stitching and your beautiful channel popped up, thankfully! What a revelation. On second thoughts, I have soooooo much material that I can work with and much of it vintage or emotionally attached to me, that’s sitting in dark cupboards and not knowing what to do with it! Thank you for connecting me with the true meaning of slow stitching and I’ve started already (pair of cut-up old Levis, pyjamas, blanket and long forgotten cross stitch threads. My heart and my hands are smiling at the thought of rifling through all those dark cupboards and I’m feeling better already. Looking forward to exploring your other videos and following your channel into 2024. Thank you! Jan x 🫶🩵
Can I share a little story with you please??? I was sitting at my desk with 2 Barons cigar boxes full of Grandmas floss on the original cardboard spool templets, her needles and thimbles too!! Looking at all their beauty, it made me so sad to not know how or what I can do to use them. ( there's over 100 double spools ) I have Aunt Josephines (1863-1949 ) hand stitched quilt hanging on my living room wall and I admire it everyday. I am trying to do something to honor the ancestors with what I inherited , BUT I don't know how to slow stitch or how to do the beautiful embroidery stitches. I'm intimidated to say the least!! I pulled up my chair to my desk, clicked on U-Tube and there you were!!!!! Angel bells started ringing!!!!! My stomach flipped around with excitement when you talked about your new project for 2024. I WILL BE THERE!!! I want to thank-you for the beautiful work you do and for sharing it also the ease in which you explain things. I will be watching ALL you past posts. You made my day! and gave me something exciting to look forward to in the New Year!!!
I love that you use old fabric. I never buy new fabric for my stitching, either I use things I don’t wear anymore or I buy them in a charity store near my house. I literally cried when I cut the covers off the first one.. 😔 but I really think it's lovely to give them a new life once they are no longer useful as a book. ❤️

Love this “world of fascinating creations”…..You Dear One are offering….I do love handwork……and just being with You and Your/Our Friends in 2024 is already getting my juices flowing…..I love this community that takes a moment to relish in the quietness of sharing….
I was just thinking if I found one of these projects in a vintage store I would think it's the most fantastic treasure ever! I am so intrigued by your ideas and projects. I have pieces of lace and fabrics from my grandmother that I never knew what to do with. Now I know. These are such beautiful projects, and in my mind, museum worthy.
We share an appreciation and affection of vintage textiles. Your journals are unique and beautifully tactile ~ I think I might be inspired to join you in creating my own stitch journal in 2024. I enjoy hand sewing and especially hand quilting, which I find meditative and gratifying ❤
Just found you and your absolutely amazing stitchery work. I work mostly in wool, but love old fabrics, handmade papers and intentional/ mindful creations. I will most certainly be joining you in creating some joyful and lovely new/old projects.
This is so inspiring! I agree with your thoughts about limiting your options to increase the creativity. I often get overwhelmed by all the goodies in my craft room and work better with a pre planned palette. Looking forward to the videos in 24!
Found your channel and just love all of your creations. I, too, will be joining in with your slow stitch project in 2024. I'm in Arkansas, in the United States.
I just found you, and I’m so happy! Yes, I’ll join you in 2024. You do lovely work, and I’m looking forward to learning more about how you’ve made all these beautiful items. About 20 years ago, I designed a hussif using a fat quarter so I could work on my small sewing projects at (work) lunch. It has everything I need, and I treasure it.
So delighted that you popped up on my feed. I am a new subscriber and have started to binge your channel. Such a delight to find an UK artist to follow. Thank you.
You popped up on my RUclips and I'm so pleased that I started watching your introduction - I am very much looking forward to watching and learning to slow stitch with you. Thank you.
I've been doing this very thing for about 5 years using felted wool scraps and lace and other stuff. I never knew what to call it until today when I happened upon your video. I can't wait until you begin your weekly series in 2024. Thank you.
I'm in the U.S. and just had my first slow stitching piece in burgundy and cream in a senior citizens' art show. People were curious about it. I also showed my first small Sashiko piece. I'd like to join in the 2024 project.
Regarding the biscornu, I had the same problem with pins poking through so I angle the pins from the side, weave in and out a couple of times, then tuck the point under the central button. Hope that’s clear! Thanks for your videos which are really interesting.😊

Love this “world of fascinating creations”…..You Dear One are offering….I do love handwork……and just being with You and Your/Our Friends in 2024 is already getting my juices flowing…..I love this community that takes a moment to relish in the quietness of sharing….
Yes it really does feel like community ❤️
I was just thinking if I found one of these projects in a vintage store I would think it's the most fantastic treasure ever! I am so intrigued by your ideas and projects. I have pieces of lace and fabrics from my grandmother that I never knew what to do with. Now I know. These are such beautiful projects, and in my mind, museum worthy.
Thank you so much, such a lovely thing to say ❤️
Just fascinating!
This sounds so interesting. I would love to make these projects.
Thank you 🙏 many of the videos are already on my channel 😉❤️
Lovely video, looking forward to more.
Thank you ❤️
We share an appreciation and affection of vintage textiles. Your journals are unique and beautifully tactile ~ I think I might be inspired to join you in creating my own stitch journal in 2024. I enjoy hand sewing and especially hand quilting, which I find meditative and gratifying ❤
Thank you so much!
Just found you and your absolutely amazing stitchery work. I work mostly in wool, but love old fabrics, handmade papers and intentional/ mindful creations. I will most certainly be joining you in creating some joyful and lovely new/old projects.
Thank you ❤ new/old projects is a great way of describing it 😉
This is so inspiring! I agree with your thoughts about limiting your options to increase the creativity. I often get overwhelmed by all the goodies in my craft room and work better with a pre planned palette. Looking forward to the videos in 24!
Thank you yes, too much choice just stops me in my tracks 😁❤️
Looking forward to joining you in the new year,
I love your pin cushion! I would like to see you show how to make one
Thank you Karen, there is a video in the Tutorials playlist, called Biscornu ❤️
Found your channel and just love all of your creations. I, too, will be joining in with your slow stitch project in 2024. I'm in Arkansas, in the United States.
Thank you and welcome ❤️
Fantastic, thank you. Looking forward to your videos. J 🙃🐨🇦🇺👍

I really look forward to some slow stitching 💟
I can't wait to join in and start learning how to make these lovely pieces!
Welcome 🤗
I just found you, and I’m so happy! Yes, I’ll join you in 2024. You do lovely work, and I’m looking forward to learning more about how you’ve made all these beautiful items. About 20 years ago, I designed a hussif using a fat quarter so I could work on my small sewing projects at (work) lunch. It has everything I need, and I treasure it.
Thank you! I had to look up hussif, I know it as a 'housewife'. What a wonderful thing and so lovely that you still have it. ❤️
What beautiful journal. So thrilled to have found your channel
Thank you ❤️
So long since I made time for stitching! I will definitely be joining everyone here in 2024. Thank you! ❤️
Welcome, I am looking forward to the New Year 🎊❤️
So delighted that you popped up on my feed. I am a new subscriber and have started to binge your channel. Such a delight to find an UK artist to follow. Thank you.
Welcome 🤗
You popped up on my RUclips and I'm so pleased that I started watching your introduction - I am very much looking forward to watching and learning to slow stitch with you. Thank you.
Welcome ♥️
I've been doing this very thing for about 5 years using felted wool scraps and lace and other stuff. I never knew what to call it until today when I happened upon your video. I can't wait until you begin your weekly series in 2024. Thank you.
You are welcome 🤗
Wow!! Luv your work, will join in❤
Wonderful, thank you Christa ❤️
Refreshing can't wait to join your 52 weekly meet up im in nz
Wonderful! Welcome ❤️
New subscriber here. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I'm excited about trying your project for 2024!
You're welcome, I am looking forward to it myself 😀
I'm in the U.S. and just had my first slow stitching piece in burgundy and cream in a senior citizens' art show. People were curious about it. I also showed my first small Sashiko piece. I'd like to join in the 2024 project.
Wonderful to teach people about slow stitch ❤️
Regarding the biscornu, I had the same problem with pins poking through so I angle the pins from the side, weave in and out a couple of times, then tuck the point under the central button. Hope that’s clear! Thanks for your videos which are really interesting.😊
My pleasure 😊 that's a good tip thank you ❤️
