Hi misti I wanted to thank you for your wonderful videos you are so encouraging and brave I unfortunately live among people who don’t understand the concept of slow stitch and are not always understanding about it so when people like yourself show your work it can make all of the difference I have completed several projects that are inspired by you and have really enjoyed them they made me feel as I did when I was a child and not exspected to be perfect thank you so very much for giving me this wonderful opportunity and gift may you and yours have a wonderful blessed Christmas and new year yours Angela in Ireland ❤
Oh Angela I appreciate your words so much. I think many of us are surrounded by people who don’t “get” us. I am glad you are reclaiming that child like joy in creating. I think our world sucks that spark out of too many of us at a very young age. My warmest wishes to you too for Christmas New Year and beyond. Oh, I went to a catholic school in England when I was a child and most of my classmates were Irish
I went to a catholic school in the uk too but more Italian people I have always loved making things and I find that slow stitch and collage so liberating I still quilt and cross stitch but now I bring slow stitching to work on when I travel back and forth to the uk your videos are fantastic and so calming to watch please keep up the amazing art you do it’s just so inspiring thank you again from Angela
I'm glad you said the part about beginning humbly because that's what I see with a lot of your work--it starts with something simple, a table or a flower or a bird, and by adding stitches and fabric it becomes intricate and beautiful. I am thinking of your library scroll and your garden scroll and your string quilt right now, but there are others. Looking forward to seeing what you create in 2025. Thank you!
❤❤❤This is great, Misti! I have been in a crocheting frenzy lately...picking up the hook and never reaching for the needle! I would like to do BOTH (as you do). So I am looking forward to following along with you next year in your "free-form, do what you feel on Tuesdays" manner. Right now, I am thinking I can pick up the needle with you on Tuesdays. However if it should strike me to pick up the hook on random Tuesdays...well, I am giving myself permission because those are stitches too!! As always, thank you for your inspirational videos! You are spreading JOY!!❤❤❤
Thank you. All creativity is good, and I know all about having multiple projects on the go. I’m thinking of starting a weaving project as well as this one!
oh, the esthetics of what you are showing is amazing... And you are so organized in spite of beeing driven by intuition (often). You finish at the top in my opinion. Maximinialism is great😊👌🙏
Misti, Having been inspired by each piece that starts off seemingly simply but ends up a masterpiece,I wish you continue inspiring those like me. Your ideas I bet light up the creative streak in each of us and makes me particularly forge ahead with the needle and yarn.Have a Blessed and Joyous Season with continued Blessing on those Creative Hands,Rgds Jean .
It’s hard to believe that it’s the end of another year! I’m looking forward to finding out what your next project is going to be!! Simple sounds really good to me!! 😅❤
I really like the pouch you made, especially using the long twisted piece to wrap around and close it instead of fiddling with a button. You’ve made it so much more appealing and interesting.
Yes, and it’s much more flexible and will adjust to fit if the pouch is jammed full with of stuff. I make this sort of closure for bags and journal covers quite often
YOU BRING ME SUCH PEACE AND JOY ❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@helendurow8211 thank you that makes me glad

I’m glad you’ve seen that. I really do have to resist the urge to judge things at that early stage and I keep telling myself that things will work out
