We watched probably 50 videos. This was the first one that talked about checking the buttons to see if the light came on. BINGO! one side of the panel was dead and that's why we couldn't reprogram the keypad.

Nice video - i took mine apart and cleaned the contacts which helps too. Thats what I was hoping you were going to demonstrate instead of just buying a whole new unit. Better to take the unit inside and in a dark area where you can see the keys light up too.
I am all about safety too but there is absolutely nothing in this video that requires gloves or eyewear for safety. Thanks for posting

I suspected it was my battery, but I wanted to watch a fix-it video just in case I’m glad I did because you had mentioned after changing the battery test the keypad to make sure that it lights up and while the old battery was still good, the keypad was not lighting up so after changing the battery, everything worked fine so that was a good instructional tip to make sure that the keypad lights up after you change out the battery. So while the old battery was still had some charge, it wasn’t enough to activate the keyboard or the remote sensor so changing out the battery fixed my issue.

When I closed the door with the app, I noticed that the opener unit on the ceiling of the garage beeped for a few seconds and the light flashed during the beeping, and then the door closed. Leigh M. I have experienced the same thing on my keypad. I replaced the batteries and it will no longer close when hitting the enter button alone. Sometimes I had to hit it twice and it would close, no code needed. Now if I open the door by the keypad, and when the keypad is still flashing it will close just by hitting enter. But once the keypad stops flashing it no longer works by just hitting enter. I see there has been no responses on a fix or an reason why this did it. If you gotten a response any other way please let us know. Thank You in advance.

I discovered that one of my battery wires had come loose from the circuit board. The only way to get to the circuit board is to take the back off. That's the hard part. I used a thin blade and worked my way around the back until the back pops off. I don't think the back is supposed to ever come off but it's possible. I then soldered the loose wire to the circuit board, reassembled and all is well now. You need patience to do what I did. It's a PITA

@@ToddsGarage actually my previous statement was not very accurate. After a thorough testing, here is the problem: the button by the door works all the time. The keypad and remote work (both open and close) when the opener light is off. It can't close when the light is on. After a waiting of ~5 min until the light went off, the door could be closed by both keypad and remote. The bulb is incandescent and has worked fine for 10 years.

@@duludili7833 that is strange that you have to wait for the light to go off before the garage door will close. I am not sure, the only thing I would check would be the safety sensors to make sure they are aligned. I have a video showing how I aligned our safety sensors when we were having issues with the garage closing if you want to check it out. Our garage would close intermittently. You might need to call a garage repair company to help figure that one out. Good luck and be safe and hope you get it fixed. Let me know what happens.

@@ToddsGarage The sensors are aligned. I guess I may have to replace the logic board. Thanks though for the prompt response!

My key pad wasn't lighting up at all. I removed the battery and reinstalled the same battery and it worked again... for a little while then stopped lighting up again. This time I flipped the battery so it lays on the its other side and now it keeps working!

All my buttons light up the pad. I can close using the enter button. But it will no longer open using the 4 digit code. I tried programming a new code, the unit accepted it but still won’t open. Any ideas?
