@@PippPriss I don´t use hardware anymore cause I just make music in front of my PC but I wish I had the NAM-Player and and all the possibilities of today back in the days where I played live. BTW.: I used NAM and a Driftwood purple Nightmare profile for my last Video for the Metal Mania Drumset.
Fantastic!! Great tones! Thanks so much for sharing this. I got my NAM player last week and I'm still in awe of it. I finally did a shootout with my Tonex One pedals which I need two to get the high gain I get out of the Dimehead which is why I bought it. Not to mention I had to pay for a bundle to get where I wanted with the Tonex pedals. And although the Tonex sounded great the Dimehead still had more versatility as well as sounding as good if not better (better imho) I have also I had an issue with tinniness when soloing on the higher strings. Had this issue with ALL my guitars, ALL my amps including my Marshall DSL100, tried out dozens of different pedals, dozens of different pickups in 3 different guitars, and finally got it tolerable. But with the Dimehead??? I don't have that issue whatsoever an ANY of the presets and these were all FREE!! Best sound I've had to date and even my picky bass player mentioned it on the phone just today. Due to back issues I had to sell all my tube amps so using all solid state (Matrix) amps and I couldn't be happier with my sound!! Thanks for all the videos you put out on the Dimehead player. That's what helped me make my decision and man am I glad I did!! 🤘
I cannot overstate how much this means to me, what a huge complement! Thank you, I am very happy that my videos helped with your decision to buy this great piece of hardware! I really enjoy the Dimehead still after basically daily use. Rock-Solid, not a single issue so far. You did a great purchase! What profiles are you running on them? :-) I am really tinkering with the idea of making "my top 5 free profile packs on ToneHunt" or something similar - low hanging fruit, but still might be interesting for a few folks.
Thanks man! The rigs we built really are super compact but punch above their weight class - really awesome times for musicians, at least gear-wise! ;-)
What a nice thing to say man, thanks! And thanks for checking out our music, after all that's what it's all about - making music and having people enjoy that stuff!
I'm using my two S1070pbz (black or white) + G75 wireless + NAM Player + H90 with SP-H9 as Wah controller. Sometimes adding Tone Workstation & EQ200 but not really needed due to H90 and NAM Player sounds excellent!!! 💫💫💫💫💫
Thanks a ton! We really enjoy this setup, we just had rehearsal yesterday again and I was again smiling like, what we call in Germany a "Honey-Cake-Horse". It's basically the equivalent of "to grin like a Cheshire cat" ;-)
That rehearsal mix is pretty sweet!! Is the NAM output really so low you need a volume boost afterwards? What a bummer! I got a Tonex and it needs an active DI box to get the signal level correct... :/ It sounds great, so I will keep using it. But I also had my eyes on getting a NAM player for some uses. Even the Hotone Ampero had low output. Whats up with these modern units having low output? xD I never had problems like that with Kemper, Digitech GSP1101 or any other older modelers.
It does not need it, especially using loud captures, but I capture my stuff at moderate levels and I want to be prepared for all the different scenarios I can encounter ;-) Using 4 Ohms 4x12with V30s I could get away without the boost, using 16 Ohms (as in the video) I wanna play Safe and use the boost, around 6-8 dB. I guess the units can just provide that much level with the very little power they consume, as all it is needed for the processing. And then you have to strike a balance between not overloading pedals following, but also not under powering any mixing console. I think it's rough to manage, design wise.
Haha, I guess "My name is Phil" is better than "Whatsapeverybodyhopeyourhavinamazindaysofaamurhossfil" ("What's up everybody, hope you're having an amazing day so far, I'm your host, Phil"), which I usually greet my viewers with :-D
Thanks! I upgraded to a Lavalier Mic by now, because I was so annoyed with the potato-cam audio in this video :-) But glad to hear that the audio quality seems fairly reasonable and good enough for people to enjoy the video!
Mine arrives this week!!👍🏼
Awesome! You did the right choice! Hopefully you'll have a ton of fun!
Nice! NAM-Player is really an enrichment for us guitarists.
It truly is! You have one as well?

Hell yeah! It's a killer rig! =) Great to see the video and more about the band too =)

@@PippPriss Can't find the French equivalent to these expressions haha :) They might exist tho' :)
does the varta battery charger help with the bass tone? 😄
love this kind of content Phil, thanks for sharing 🙌
The Varta Battery charger IS the bass tone. Like exclusively. ;-)
Thanks for the kind words, always a pleasure seeing your comment popping up!

"sorry for the smartphone audio"... Audio actually ain't half bad there! I've heard WAY worse.
And I can understand every word you say, so that's good!
