    Lee was fucking terrifying. Absolutely fucking nuts. Pietre was cold and unfeeling, meanwhile Lee seemed to actually enjoy inflicting pain amd death. Just how nonchalant and calm he was about his actions. The way he just looked kind of satisfied when he whacked that guy in the comic store. How calm he was when torturing Wilson, despite his screams of agony. How he put down the fire extinguisher after killing Ian’s boss, walked back to his phone, and without any hint of regret or guilt in his voice, announced that suicide wouldn’t work as a cover story. Insane.

      I dont think thats true.
      The body is very resilient.
      Its a big jugular vein.
      Its a small cut.
      Lots of blood will still go to his brain.
      The escaping blood has to squeeze out.
      Theres 5 litres of blood. As far as I know, he needs to lose one for a heart attack , and slightly less to lose consciousness.
      He,ll become weak and dizzy because his blood pressure drops rapidly , fall, and then slowly loose consciousness.
      He,ll die slowly.
      Theres (I think) 19 other veins.
      Theres not many things that kill you in seconds unless its a shotgun, or bomb.
      Do you not watch TV no ?

    Anyone else feel bad for Ian’s boss, sure he was a prick to Ian but even then it was only after Ian was being a smart ass to him, he cared enough to take Ian out for a drink when he thought he was self harmful, and even here he was trying to protect Ian’s computer, never the less great scene.

    As much as I think Pietre is terrifying, this man is in no way less scarier. Unlike Pietre who's shaped and formed in a way so that he became the ultimate killing machine acting under whatever Network ordered him to, Lee is an effective killer with his own principles. Although he once said that he doesn't only kill whether it's necessary or not, when he does kill his victims, he does it when they don't even notice him or who he really is until it's too late. Considering his memorable and impressionable outward appearance (suits, vibrant colors and everything), it's hard to believe no one will take him suspicious.

    I honestly don't think blood on the yellow folder has anything to do with Lee getting killed or not. This show has some amazing photography and stunning colors. Red and yellow, alarming colors, that combination makes the blood more intense. Strong shades of different colors are seen throughout the whole series, I just think that gives the show a real feeling with a hint of surrealism.

  • @silverlemons971
    @silverlemons971 9 лет назад +16

    Lee is the wildcard. He was meant to die in the first series but instead came back this series. Even though he was shot in the head this time Utopia has that surreal element to it which means in all seriousness they could bring him back but with a hole in his head or something. He's killable but unkillable- a perk of being the wildcard.

    • @Onmysheet
      @Onmysheet 9 лет назад +3

      But it was where he was shot. In a supposedly deserted building where we just see Wilson in charge. Im sure he left him there to rot for a while.

    • @silverlemons971
      @silverlemons971 9 лет назад +1

      Well in the first series it looks like he was shot in the heart and they claim it was a lung shot. Also of you are shot in the head it depends where you are shot; there are non fatal parts of the head to get shot at and maybe he was shot at a non fatal part. I'm being very optimistic though as he is my favourite character

    • @silverlemons971
      @silverlemons971 9 лет назад

      But how was he given medical attention from rotting in wilsons basement the first time. In the world of Utopia its always a possibility. Noone can replace Lee. Also there is a definite series 3 as they did confirm it

    • @silverlemons971
      @silverlemons971 9 лет назад +1

      Well say they did bring him back; since he got shot in the head which would obviously change him then the way he changes could be interesting. He could be twice the psychopath this time or maybe worse. Its unpredictable. Also if he had the chance to survive Wilson may keep him alive to torture him, show him whos boss and show him that he has changed and he's not one to kill people only if it was necessary. You can tell I am being very optimistic but I am pointing a few little details out

    This scene gets even funnier when you enough about computers to realize that he was just trying to look busy here - he turns the screwdriver clockwise, which is almost always the direction you screw something in, not to get it out like he would have to do to remove the hard drive.
    Even better, that PC is one of those DELL prebuilt systems - the hard drive can sometimes be taken out without any screws at all. You can even see it inside the case at 0:25 - it's the part with the white label right next to the monitor stand in front of it in the top left corner of the case.
    One more thing, though - the Network seems to have all sorts of resources at its disposal. Why not just gain access to the company's server remotely to delete the data from Ian's computer? why risk the trouble of sending an agent? Especially once you start thinking about how many companies (even in 2013) were moving away from terminals in favor of a central server & thin-client or even cloud-based operating model for their data access to reduce costs, the entire scene becomes so surreal that you can't help but chuckle at it.

    To be honest, that didn’t look like near enough pressure to cause the affects that they used
    The gargling and blood splattering at the door would have required the wound to have actually punctured through most of his throat, but it seems to be barely enough to cut the jugular..
    I’m not a doctor, but it just seemed a little bit excessive in how that effect was done
    Trying to scream once and then having the blood be pushed out as he tries makes sense, but the lack of sound would require the wound to be a bit deeper
