Been a Toyota guy for over 30 years, My 2006 Tundra TRD has clocked over 275k and still rolling, Last year we purchased a 2023 Tundra Limited, My wife has had nothing but Toyota and Lexus During this same time period never once has Toyota left us out to dry. I can count on one finger, The one that had the problems Was My Wifes made in Japan Lexus GS. Nothing but a faulty sensor no big deal.
I'm Telling this story because the sky is not falling, Toyota hasn't even come out with a fix Yet,
Let's wait and see what this outcome will be, until then all we are is speculating what may or may not happen. I'm glad people are not falling for the panic,
Oh by the way Zero Issues with my new Tundra as well.
Tundra production is way up so that help's with more inventory. I won't touch a Tundra till maybe 2025 when the engine recall is complete.
I wish they would increase their Sienna production as well as work on improving key fob production so new vehicles come with its 2nd key fob.
Uh oh, this doesn't fit the narrative of "dealer lots are full! They are the trouble! Trucks arent selling! The sky is falling!"😂😅 People are so gullible and fall for those fear porn channels so easily 😂
Agree. I traded my 24 HV in because I just didn’t like: AC noise, trans tick, wind noise, rear diff grind, remote start, no storage, cheap plastic, headliner falling down, paint peeling on interior, poor shifting and poor fuel economy.
Why would you care if the stealerships are doing good or not, it’s a good thing people don’t buy overpriced vehicles then maybe they will lower the prices instead of up charging everything.
@@jaymoar3561 they have lowered prices and are offering incentives. That's why sales are steady and haven't fallen off a cliff. That's the point. Things are back to normal. You are so angry that you can't see the forest because of the trees. You have PTSD from the pandemic shenanigans the dealerships played 😂
They have incentives this year. Nothing last year.
Incentives are here and dealers have the ability to give discounts. Also, inventory levels are up, and that certainly helps. You aren’t being forced to pick between 3 tundras, you have options. Just like pre 2020
I'm shocked the sales haven't dropped more!
I was kinda hoping they would. Better deals to be made.
Hell my dealer wants to trade me mine for a new one.
The recall just happened. Lets see what July looks like.
I’ll certainly keep an eye. I do a sales report video every month 👍🏼
Are these dealer sales? What are the registration numbers?
Congratulations to you second generation owners. Your truck is now worth double.
Do sale numbers matter when dealerships are the ones buying them.. not consumers..
Yes, I've seen this too. Brand new 24s listed as "used" CPO.
lol. Looking for a reason to hate. Stop crying.
Most people buys cars/trucks for brand loyalty , regardless of reliability.
Glad I backed out of my Tundra Pro purchase and bought 2024 4Runner TRD Pro for much less! Wanted a vehicle that will last a long long time!
I won't touch the new Tundra or the new Tacoma for a couple more years. Need to see how Toyota fixes the current issues, and if it works long term. Hoping the new 4Runner will not have these issues or is delayed
Thank you for your sacrifice. Now please tell more people to do the same so Toyota will give more discount so I can buy one as soon as possible.
I think July's numbers will drop a bit.
That’s a 15% Drop in Sales in just 1 Month, (May to June). I suspect the sales will drop even further in July.. I still wouldn’t spend my money on a 3rd Gen..
😢 poor you. We don’t care.
@@sh_twelearnoverlanding Sure you do, you commented 🤣
You would think Toyota may have been looking over the oil during the oil changes. This may be a way to monitor these trucks. But what the hell I know. 😂
Toyota recalling the 22 and 23 tundras so it's still under warranty to do the work. The 24 tundra will be part of the recall soon. Look up the part numbers for the tundra engines. Some has been changed as of last month or so. I still think Toyota is not telling all they know about the problem they having.
Fake news from another idiot.
Sure bro
How many sales were from dealerships to employees forced to buy them?
Every Toyota dealer in SW Florida is packed with new tundras. Like 60 plus tundras on every lot. Lots and lots of new tacomas too.
Thanks for the update on your area! Is that area normally a slow Tundra seller or were things good before the recall?
@@TundraDude34 There were only a handful of new model tundras since the release of the 2022. They were flying off the dealer lots as soon as they arrived. The inventory started to pile up around December 23 January 24. Lots have been full for months. Awesome variety. I even test drove a limited 2023 in like February this year and was blown away by how nice they drive. In comparison to my 2020 SR5 4x4 the new tundra drivers like a friggin Lincoln Town Car, sooo smooth, fast, sharp and more refined. Just everything about it was amazing. I was ready to trade but the dealer was in no hurry to negotiate. It was like an itch, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Fast forward two months and I started hearing about mechanical issues, not much just here and there but then like a drip drip drip and flood of bad news. I’m still holding back, I’ll wait a year or two see what develops with this recall. I wish they offered the 5.7 as an option. Time will tell.
@@humanthingtodo7891 i really appreciate the message. Keep me updated on how they sell over time 👍🏼
@@humanthingtodo7891 I wonder if that dealer who was not negotiating you calling you an begging for a deal now lol.
@@justahumbledude Yes ! Almost everyday I get a text message or an email from them. They want my old tundra and they’re offering deals left and right to trade for a new one. I just checked their lot inventory and they are sitting on, ready for it ?!
91 new model tundras !
They are nice but,
I’ll wait.
Prices are dropping; a Capstone in Waterloo, Iowa, is priced at 71,500. I was shocked to see the price marked in the colorful green paint on the window. Midwestern locations offer deals with commercials of 0% down purchases with $400.00 monthly leasing offers.
I just bought 2023 toyota tundra iforce max platinum
I will drive till
Break down
Resales are going to be tough with the confidence lost by loyal customers.😦
A 10k drop on price will definitely help too.
Will also put owners upside down on their vehicle value like what Tesla did. People trying to give away their teslas for 1/2 the value they once were after the price cuts. Wouldn't be a smart move for Toyota.
Need more than 10K, since they marked them up about 30K.
I'm still glad I got my '21... Don't want any truck that sounds like a sewing machine
lol. Beta
Maybe the recall helped?! Ford leads the recall board. I guess people feel comfortable with Toyota being transparent even though Toyota knew about the machining debris way back in February 2022. It is July and this is the month they intend to announce a fix. Keep the information coming Mark.
I have no dog in this fight but my observations. Somewhat surprised the numbers are that much for june.in my area huntsviile al where the engines are produced i don't remember there being as many tundras on the lot when i bought my 07.of course it was the end of the year though.my uncle retired from the engine plant right during the switch over to the new engine so i no longer have insight.his last year he was off the line and in orientation of new hires or something like that.
I got an i FORCE MAX in June
Creative accounting....not sure I would trust the numbers shown!
Typical bitter troll who can not afford one. Typical denial. Must be a Fox News viewer.
actually surprised by those numbers. Was expecting a lot less. Looks like people are loving the discounts that are coming with these 24's
I was just at the Toyota dealership getting the oil changed in one of my vehicles and they had 2024 limited for $13,000 off. They’re desperate.
@@ccron889_ Big discounts and low APR financing helps. Also most people are not informed buyers. I wish them luck.
They also have promo interest rates for 1.9 or lower I think
Surprising to me for sure. I know recall stopped me looking at a new Tundra and my sister and brother-in-law from buying a new Lexus.
2019 CM Limited 78k miles now for sale 45k :D
I can’t believe people are still buying these trucks
Because they are still way more reliable than any other full size truck.
You got that right. There quality sucks and America makes the best truck. Have some loyalty to our country.
@@jeffkondra8246 Domestic trucks are not that great. You don’t see them in the Australian Outback or African Jungle for a reason.
@@jeffkondra8246Some say quality is lower on Toyota for their American plants
@@jeffkondra8246the tundra is the most American made truck you can buy right now. Even the materials used in manufacturing the truck is sourced in the US. All your "American" trucks are more somethin else than they are American. Manufactured in the US out of Chinese made chit. There's a reason why Toyota is known as the most reliable.
I bought a red limited TRD crewmax in 2020. For just under $46,000 in 2020 during Covid. After the new design came out a local dealer had the exact same model and color but new design. The sticker price on that truck was $65,000. Absolutely ridiculous that there’s $20,000 difference less than 2 yrs. The truck prices are just not realistic. At this rate that might be my last brand new truck purchase.
Any word if the 2024s and I forcemax will have a recall? Still liked the way the 2022 drove….just waiting for all the trouble to clear up…..
Haven’t heard anything about more Tundras being added as of now.
Another reason why they are selling well in June bc Toyota are offering big discounts. So this is the good time to roll the dice
I would suspect July is lower since it probably took a while for people to find out about the recall. The only way it would not fall off is the massive incentives.
And if the price was right, they would have sold more units.
Apparently there no recall on tundra's in Canada
My 2022 Tundra has been recalled for the engine. I wish there was an honest dealership in Orangeville.
Ive seen 2022 tundras with over 90k miles on them already
They say “Machining debris” but mostly Front and rear main bearings are affected. Why aren’t any other lubricated pieces being destroyed? Keeping my 22 Tundra cause I know they’ll make it right. (Chevy is handing out new Long blocks).
Yep and nobody is talking about it. Just like fords 1 million recalls they issued in June.
If metal is found up in the camshaft, toyota will send cams, heads, and a short block, any part you need for the repair is approved. The issue is that a complete long block is NOT AVAILABLE! So you get it piecewise, the truck is still new, and they are getting things in order.
Not a lot of folks seem to know about the recall yet, or had only recently found out. The Tundra's are piling up around me and they're offering 3-7k off sticker atm. Its a hard pass for me. Another 2-3 years before I'd even risk it, but, again, remember...most buyers are doing zero research and know absolutely nothing about what is going on. They see money off sticker and a low interest rate and figure its a good buy.
Gotta give it a year to see how the recalls really affected Toyota's market. Many of these new buyers are going to start breaking down in the 30K mile range, so you have to give it at least till the end of this year.
Somebody better check on untamed… he might have a stroke after hearing this 😂
hahaha
I about had a stroke when i watched one of his vids
Do these include overseas sales?
US sales numbers
The high cost of Tacoma are pushing people into the Tundra.
The recall won’t affect sales, for years Tacoma production dictated how many Tundras could be produced. With Tacoma out of San Antonio I would not be surprised at 150k-200k Tundras a year sales volume!
The only thing I’ve learned on YT is how little buyers make sense. I’m completely baffled by Toyota buyers. Blind trust.
Incentives at this point wouldn’t encourage me to purchase a 2024 Tundra. 😦 I feel the recalls are going to be dragging down the numbers among the Hybrid models also when the truth comes out. Toyota does have the fix yet and not telling the truth until the 2024 models are sold out.🤔
You do know the 24’s are going to be recalled when there done selling them
The cut in prices and interest rate will help Toyota, but I will advise my friends and families to hold on buying a Toyota truck until everything is settled. Recall hurt the sale number, so you have a rebate, cut prices, and lower interest rates that Toyota wasn't initially giving customers.
Numbers go up when you offer 1.9 for 72 months and you drop prices 10-15k. People don’t care about issues when you are throwing trucks at them.
The more incentives and discounts, the better!
Toyota respects their customers and cares for them. I think they will replace the affected trucks with a brand new motor.
Go ask the Tundra buyers if they feel taken care of who are only getting a short block and a tech has to rebuild everything around it....and waiting 3 months for parts.
@@justahumbledude I am Toyota customer for 20 years. Toyota dealers might be your problem. Toyota as a OEM has exceeded my expectations. I currently have a 24 Tundra Ltd. There is no official report that Toyota will only replace the short block. I will have to wait for reports from Toyota on how are they going to remedy the issue. Let’s wait..
@@justahumbledude toyota authorizes any part on that engine the tech needs, i am a toyota tech!
@Xencer thank you for your hard work!
Agreed, but in a recall, Toyota decides what to do. So let’s wait
I give thumbs up on all negative videos and comments on the Tundra because I want to see prices drop 😂
🤣 thats a novel approach
It seems that most buyers believe that the 2024 models do not have a problem. They will be surprised when the recall is expanded.
It won't be expanded. Read the investigation report so you know what your talking about.
You’re on the wrong channel. 😂
@@korbekleeninc.974 Time will tell.
@@JoseR-bw2gs they changed the way the engine blocks were cleaned in the manufacturing process in January of 23
@@korbekleeninc.974 Did you mean 24? Because 2023's are on the recall list.
I luv my 2019
In the meantime my 2017 Tundra has given me 0 problems
Great model year
Wouldn't give Toyota $30k for a ticking time bomb but to each their own.
TOYOTA knows what they’re doing.
Are you sure about that?
Lol 😂 them Chevy and GM fans in your comments section was hoping tundra would tank BUT IT DIDN'T!! Toyota tundra where I live is still saleing Great I seen a a few brand new ones just in the past couple weeks with the drive out tags on them 👍
Not to mention the CDK outage which probably effected several dealers and their ability to complete sales
Thats another road block they got through. 15,000 dealerships were affected including many Toyota dealerships
@@TundraDude34 they may have tightened the gap with 2007 numbers if that hadn't been an issue. But I assume we'll see those delayed sales numbers added for July
I will certainly report those numbers when they are available!
Toyota trucks are all the most reliable, all around the globe. Except in America where ridiculous and useless epa regulations make engine manufacture meet demands that don’t amount to a fly on an elephants ass.
1.99
I know there is recalls out on this truck. People are still trusting Toyotas over the rest of the trucks.
Recall isn't good no matter how it's spun.. Wait til 2025. Hopefully they'll change that grill, add tow hooks, and the other misses.
Folks don't seem to mind turbo charged engines....I still won't have anything to do with it.
We asian will always buy toyota no matter what. The only bad thing is the price other then that is nothing.
Man, that’s a dumb way to go
I’m Asian, I buy the best car. Toyota, Chevy, Ford, Honda, it don’t matter
I tried to ask you to report in how bad it was months ago and you kinda got angry with me. 😅
Lol, well if thats the case, i apologize for that. In the beginning, it was hard sifting through fact and fiction.
@TundraDude34 hey it's ok. I wasn't mad. I know you love Tundras and I love Toyotas. A lot of us are hoping Toyota wakes up that's all.
Still for me a do not buy.Wait for 2025 to check new engine.
A 10k drop on price will help too.
@@bikerz3857never has happened and so HIGHLY unlikely to ever occur. Rebates and subsidized interest loans is what occurs

Yeah, they are junkies. Please everyone don’t waste your money on the new tundra.
Was the return and warranty that you have figured out, Stop the gas lighting the truth
Im not sure I get what you’re trying to say. Proof read that and get back to me
Misrepresenting the truth! L May 24 sold over 15K , over 2K drop in sales! Sales are dropping and will continue to drop.
You can look at it that way, but you also have to look at June year to year. This June number is the best June number since 2007. And its also 33% higher than June 2023. Also, people were expecting a massive fall off with the recall for this number, and I wouldn’t call 13,003 a “massive fall off”. We will keep watching month to month
@@TundraDude34we’ll said !
Another bitter troll who can not afford one.
I don’t necessarily think its a troll situation. There is so much doom and gloom and misinformation out there these days, people don’t know what to believe. Seems like people prefer negative over factual numbers 🤷🏼♂️
@@TundraDude34 Mark if you really dig into it and get the facts it’s a lot of misinformation and fake news. Guys like you and a few other report factual information, good or bad, but unfortunately snake oil salesmen like untamed are posting fake news and strictly hate videos on Toyota and this situation and unfortunately the people who could not afford a third gen. Tundra went bitter from day one and now due to the recall there has been this cult following with jerks like samko and untamed, and there about 10 other RUclips snake oil salesmen who have literally brainwashed people to hate Toyota because its getting them views. That is a fact !
Again facts :
1) 825 warrantied trucks out of 413,500 sold. Pretty good odds.
2) The Tundra is on pace to possibly out sell 2007.
Toyota cars and trucks are not built like they're used to anymore.
American tundra and Tacoma are just as garbage as the domestics!
You do know the 24’s are going to be recalled when there done selling them
That very well could be, but until its official, its a wait and see game
