Hi Derrik, I can read the menu on the left of screen fine but when I click on the objects button my catalog is about a 1/4 of the size of what the menu is any idea to fix that problem. Thanks

This video is the only way I know how to fix it. Contact your CV person and they might have other solutions.

Did you guys create your own catalog for Cabinet Vision or did they create it for you? I currently use LiveStorage at my company and am trying to move us to something that will give us more customability. We also fabricate the melamine panels but have someone manually converting the drawings to CAD. Id love your feedback, thanks!!

That’s a whole other video. I’m a CV guy because we have been using it for 20+ years and we have fine tuned it to work for us very well. Redrawing is a complete waste of time and I would only ever run 1 software or 2 if it would convert easily. Cv comes with a closet catalog that works, you will still need to go in and fine tune it to work for your style of product. If I was starting from scratch today, I would take a good look at Mozaic. No big upfront cost and month to month subscription

@@derrekholland5207 How does CV handle flipside operations? Like a 6ft tall shared gable with line boring on one side for adjustable shelving and drawers with a double hang "clean drill" on the other side that's 4ft tall? We tried Mozaik recently and this was a complete deal breaker as the way their base program is set up it requires you to flip the panel on the CNC for a flipside operation which is crazy from a production standpoint. Otherwise you have to go into the gable and manually move holes from one side of the gable to the other so that it will "drill through" from the side that has the line boring to the opposite side so it doesn't need to be flipped.
We have a CV rep coming next week so I'm curious to see how they handle something that the closet industry does daily to see how complicated it is or isn't.

@@tannersherwood3232 cabinet Vision can handle it 2 ways. You can flip the entire sheet on the machine in the production cycle, which is what we do or it can output a second set of code and run the main side, cut out the part and then you can return the part to that machine or a different machine and run the second side. The boring for the offset sides is handled automatically in Cabinet Vision we don’t ever have to change anything. The verticals go on the design with no holes all of the line boring and any other drilling is attached to the section in between it and when that section touches the vertical, get a plays that boring that matches the section.

@@derrekholland5207 Thanks for the info Derek! I'm hoping we can show them how we have ours programmed to drill through from the line boring side the operations we want on the other side, or alternatively if we can run sets of operations through the same side and then route it after if that's how it works. No one we've found yet seems to have been built from the ground up for closets!
