When you lifted the rear hatch the whole bed was a huge mound of plumbing parts, pieces, and tools, that looked like a junk pile. It had that smell. His name was Homer, he taught me many things that I have used thru my life ......I miss him.
The sound of that Honda was actually one of the things that drew me in when I found this channel 2½ years ago. Especially the sound that it makes when it gets loaded down running the high pressure pump right after opening the water valve. It lived a hard life. We the viewers got to follow along for a part of it. I'm looking forward to seeing whatever comes after it :)
The hard life it lived was because of not enough oil changes. Oil looks pretty milky (has water in it) in the shots of the engine disassembled at the end. Water does not lubricate engine parts well. With better maintenance, it would've gone WAY longer
Those hondas can out last you 😂. I love these small engines even if u destroy them u can rebuild them easily even if the engine is like 40yo they still makes parts for them. And this why it's worth paying extra for Honda engine.
@@gorak9000 hmmm water in oil on an air cooled engine? Maybe condensation?and that usually burns off when ran frequently as in this case it runs every day.. I didn't see any signs or water or moisture
@@daddysails8926 Part of what he shows at the end is definitely the gearbox from the pressure pump - in pressure pumps, the high pressure seals fail eventually and water from the water side makes it way into the pump crankcase and mixes with the oil. If you catch it early, you can just replace the high pressure seals, but if the bearings have been run with water in the oil for a while, it's probably not economical to repair - just better to replace the whole pump. But he definitely also shows the engine apart, and you can see the crankshaft and both rods - the oil in there looks better, but not great either.

Considering Honda engines are usually only rated for 800 hours (Althrough we all know they do more) over 2000 is pretty great, especially considering the heavy work it was doing.

just asking... been having problems with my sewer for 5 years since i bought this house. has about a 100 or so feet of line just to make it to the sewer. had the whole line replaced last year. clogged up again. they tapped in right before the sewer to save money. the pipe cost me about 10 grand to do. why is it that they just want to run a cable through the line to unclog it for 90 bucks? then want to charge almost a grand to flush it like you do with high pressure water? every year im clogged. since i had the pipe replaced here in indiana all they do is run a cable through it. but wait for an extra 900 bucks we can blast it with water and make it really clean. and they dont even have a camera on site. they have to charge addition to that. with a separate set of guys with another schedule. what is up with that? im still under warranty for another 4 years but dang wish you were cleaning my pipes. seems like over here nothing gets done right......
You know what this means right Ollie? You won’t be able to find your gear as easily when you need it now! 😂 Merry Christmas to you and your family again Ollie 🎄

@@lynch6642 Also at the end, it looks like it was the gearbox between the engine and the pump that failed, and that oil looks pretty milky, like it has a bunch of water mixed into it. And at 26:59 that looks like the engine crankshaft (large pistons) and the oil looks milky there too. Milkshake oil = bad. I just replaced the pump on my pressure washer in the spring of this year - one of the seals on the pump plungers went, and water was getting into the crankcase of the pump, and the oil was all milky (and leaking out). When I took it apart, the ceramic plunger was actually cracked, so not economical to repair - I just got a whole new pump. Of course mine is only a 2000psi 3gpm little toy compared to this behemoth, but the pump was only about $300. The old Honda 5.5HP engine still has TONS of life left in it.

Awesome customer support and service! Now we gotta work on getting a bigger van lol and good to see ratty and croc cleaned up lol Magpie is missing out for sure.
I think that's an air cooled motor that uses blades on the flywheel to blow air over the heads (You can see the angled fins on the old motor at the beginning).. By placing the face of it against something you are going to restrict it's cooling.
Are you sure that maybe it wasn't the impeller? It looks like it's the whole entire unit so if an impeller bearing went then it would make it look like that the Honda died

This was so much fun to watch! Can’t wait to see the new one put in.
The Honda GX690 had such a beautiful sound 😢 I hope you have fun with the new Honda iGX800 and that it has such a nice sound as the GX690 All good Ollie, Ratty and Croc!
Pretty legendary of that company to help clear out the van! Loved the topsoli comment... lol. Was actually pretty satisfying to see the clear out :) Shame it happened and hope its not too costly for you!
At least they professionaly wrecked the bumper at around 05:00 :')
just asking... been having problems with my sewer for 5 years since i bought this house. has about a 100 or so feet of line just to make it to the sewer. had the whole line replaced last year. clogged up again. they tapped in right before the sewer to save money. the pipe cost me about 10 grand to do. why is it that they just want to run a cable through the line to unclog it for 90 bucks? then want to charge almost a grand to flush it like you do with high pressure water? every year im clogged. since i had the pipe replaced here in indiana all they do is run a cable through it. but wait for an extra 900 bucks we can blast it with water and make it really clean. and they dont even have a camera on site. they have to charge addition to that. with a separate set of guys with another schedule. what is up with that? im still under warranty for another 4 years but dang wish you were cleaning my pipes. seems like over here nothing gets done right......
You know what this means right Ollie? You won’t be able to find your gear as easily when you need it now! 😂 Merry Christmas to you and your family again Ollie 🎄
Just needs to watch the video to see where it went.
give it a week and the important stuff will all be on top of the pile again.
@@rupe53 Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!
Finally your van got a clean up, I was going to come down and do it myself . Merry Christmas and keep well
This vid is a prime example, of why one should never mess with a system... Because none of that seemed to go back as to where it lay before,..
Are all the people over there so cool and laidback?? The vibe is awesome!!!
Worst Christmas EVER.
RIP Honda, but great to see you clear out the van, finally! ;)
The floor of that van hasn't seen daylight in years. XD
lol
@6:00 that's the cleanest that van been after from going into service 👍 I did the same years ago when my car got flooded by hurricane Sandy with dirty sea water.......ripped out the entire interior & components and washed it out thoroughly, even inside the doors ,panels & frame
Man, this is a sad day. We’ve been through so much together. So many starts.
I was going to watch Miracle on 34th street for Christmas this year. But I just witnessed a miracle on RUclips. Ollie is getting a new jetter, Ratty and Croc took a bath. "In clean water mind ya." And the Rat Rod got a washout. Awesome! Love it...
Rest in peace 🙏🏽 that engine was making strange noises since two or three videos ago.
You gotta keep oil in those things, and change it once in a while - they tend to work better that way
@@gorak9000 Very true and there's not much oil on the floor, (rainbow colors) that's a good sign that has not ever been changed
@@gorak9000 Yes you're correct, I got halfway through the video and thought I would throw my 2 cents in... thank you
@@gorak9000 This is why fleet operators require specific regular maintenance on their units and teach employees tool care. If you don't care for it, you don't keep it (or even still keep that job). Ollie is an O/O it's just him.
We should never forget the little engine that could. The little brave little Honda
Glenn: "want to give your van a quick wash before you go mate?"
Ollie: "That's just going too far Glenn"
Ollie, I'm going to tell you something the sounds of that Honda staring was what hook me up to watch my first video then i stay for the rest . In a good note I'm glad to see the van get a clean up .
It blows my mind that there’s a dedicated store and service center for this specific trade! I always wondered how everyone got all the high pressure spray equipment and such. Now I know!
Ya with all the old plumbing In Australia and the crazy trees it's a big market with all the cool jetter heads they have would love to see Oli give them a spin.
Ollie visits Jetters Edge in some of his earlier uploads
Between plumbers and pressure washers according to their website, I'd bet they make a killing
I like Ollie's laugh and sense of humor
That’s a surprise. Hope all will be well!
@@GWN90 yeah they are gonna rebuild the engine so he can use it even more
That’s a place with great service. Taking care of the customer is king!!!
If only you had some way to spray that dirt out of your van. Maybe with pressurized water?
Brave little Honda to all the years that came and to all that hard work it has done thank you little brave Honda
Your going to need a bigger truck boss
Loved the pack up at the end. New machine will be mint! Looking forward to install.
Such low hours, not enough oil and filter changes would be my guess.
Are you sure that maybe it wasn't the impeller? It looks like it's the whole entire unit so if an impeller bearing went then it would make it look like that the Honda died
@@x_x_w_ what impeller?
Its a pressure pump, not a pool pump.
@@elonmask50 I'm sure he meant cooling fins and either that or oil an change, but they sure don't make them like they use to even if you do routine maintenance, they're mostly plastic on the insides
@@lynch6642, even my Chonda powered portable alternators do 4 thousand hours, and they spend their entire life at 3000 RPM, but I change their oil every 100 hours.
It may be a pump failure, I’m just going off the guys saying that the rod had knocked, and given the degree of difficulty accessing either the oil filter or the drain plug the way it was installed in the van.
@@elonmask50 Yeah and you know, some of those have oil filters and some don't, I try and do services with no filters at 100 hours
A full service salon, and so professional, cool.💚💚
Two videos in one week!!
Yeah first time since June
Farewell to the old machine, lasted 2811 hours. Paid for itself I would presume! Best of luck with the new one, Ollie. Merry Christmas. Cheers mate! 🇦🇺🙂👍🇺🇸
Only 22 jobs billed at a premium, pays for its self, eh!?
Good top soil for the corn 🌽 😆 🤣 poor jetter R.I.P probably doubled or tripled 600 jobs easy, and ratty got a good wash! 👍
I think you may need a bigger van one day Ollie! The guys did do a nice job cleaning it out! Like you said though, you won't be able to find anything now! LOL! Merry Christmas my friend, from NE Ohio, USA!
Machinery seems to have a habit of breaking at Christmas. Glad you are back up and running. Thanks for a great year of videos.
RIP lil Honda, thank you for so many good times, want to see the v.2 installed already! merry Christmas Ollie!! cheers from Argentina mate
2000+ hours between van cleanings. Too bad the jetter died causing it. The guys at The Jetter's Edge are top notch. Great service!
Wow, nice new jetter setup. Cleaning up the van was priceless.
Olive, I am sorry to hear your Honda died but you have to admit you gave it a good work out, I hope you kept up with the maintenance and changed the oil and filter religiously. Best of luck and enjoy the new one!!!
At last a Clean Van for Ollie. Most satisfying video . I feel more relaxed already. Best Christmas Present ever 😂😂😂 Now somebody do the cab !!!..and make him a shelf rack !!
Wont be able to find anything in the van now. Lol. Thanks for the mid week upload! Awesome! Keep up the great work!
Here's one for you, keeping things clean in the back, just need a water tight cabin wall and then remote control for the jetter with a big magnum on it, then just give it 2 min after each working day. Clear as mud every day :)
Sad to see the old banger giving a last bang. Hope a new one will be ready soon, so we get to enjoy some more water pressure making wonders in the pipes, with the help of a very skilled operator.
Merry Christmas to everyone
Always like your content interesting seeing all the equipments & high pressure system
Amazing service. Great advertising for them too. Hope it brings more business their way…..
I love the kookaburra laughing away in the background 😂
Great Service!!!
That place is awesome!!!
I can’t get over how much stuff you carry in, what is by American standards, a relatively smaller sized van. Amazing.
There just something so satisfying about a clean work truck
