The SKS is the iconic gun of being poor or cheap in Tarkov. Why run big fancy 60 round full auto guns when you can go around top loading your SKS with your carefully rationed BP ammo.

@@Lawman1011 80% of the lag/desync my friends have got fixed when they upgraded there internet. I know there is some netcode problems but everytime they upgrade the Unity engine the game plays way better. Also a lot of time I experience lag/desync it is because I am playing on my buddy's servers and not my own so the game auto puts us in a server that has the best ping for him not me.

I have over 2000 hours playing Escape From Tarkov. it is the best game to date in terms of gun mechanics, gunplay and weapon customization. you can even go as far as intermediately loading the your mags with different ammo to get different jobs done. like tracers every 5 shots and the last 10 rounds in your mag being tracers to let you know your empty. they also put in effect the speeds of the projectiles, subs drop like crazy out of a .45 or 9x39. the armor system is on another level as well, same with the healing system too. its such a good game, can be frustrating as hell though lol.
Just wish they had it on console..really want it on Xbox

I grew up around a lot of Nam vets who loved and swore by the sks. Most were "preppers" or milita... But all of them swore by the sks. My first rifle was a sks, it sparked my love for skss and aks and today I have a very nice collection of both.

I heard you mention that the FAL in game is the SBR version, you can change every aspect of the gun from the barrel to the handguard so you can make a few different versions of the FAL in game. Its pretty wild the amount of options you can have for modding

The chopped and suppressed mosin is actually in the game. Encyclopedia of guns and modifications.
Even the pistol grip.
All weapons in tarkov work pretty close to reality. mags contain bullets, they don't reappear magically in your other mags if you do a tactical reload. you can press check your gun, the barrel of the gun interacts with surfaces so manoeuvring inside buildings with a long gun is more difficult and so on...
My next dogs name will be Tarkov.. I was randomly thinking about it, and the notification of the video came up. SOLD.! So after subscribing again, something I have to do everyday, I decided it was the sign i didn't need. Now the hunt for Tarkov begins.

One fun fact about those 74 style muzzle breaks is they're design to allow the use of rifle grenades. Idk if they're in the game, or if you could in theory use them on that particular AK but it's neat anyway

First was in game in the form of GP-25 but now is gone we just have FN GL40 Mk.2 grenade launcher

That golden mak made me to get my Bulgarian mak and give it a little love. This mak was manufactured in my birth year so it's not going anywhere. It's a tackdriver. All I changed were the grips and I still have the original grips in the safe.
You can in fact make Fugly in game. (aside from the stock)

Love Tarkov , the gun building alone is it's own game , Cept now having to be ,20 to use flea kinda puts a damper on that , unless you play frequently , or will take you quite some time just to be able to play with building guns at all , besides that, has to be most realistic in terms of the guns and accessories I've ever seen in a videogame , especially them using the real names of weapons and items instead of made up ones

Great video! I'm a lifetime firearms fan and gamer. Tarkov definitely to this day has the most realistic and comprehensive firearms collection, models and customization of any game. I use all kinds of weapons and configurations but a great budget build is an OP-SKS with a dovetail mount and a PSO-1 scope attached. It's gotten me tons of kills including some Shooter Born in Heaven kills :)

The game is huge. They only did it to capitalize on all the views it's going to get.
Tarkov is an interesting game..Stick to the PVE maps and get familiar with the extract points..It is not for the casual player (as Ive learned)..I am a little sad the RFB doesnt have the modularity it can in real life..and that the MDR is in full auto (DT has like 1)
1 little fact u guys might appreciate is. The developers of "EFT" got with the guys at Kalashnikov concern and some other gun companies and modeled the eternals of all the guns in game so if u take the dust cover off the AK or the FAL u can see the action cycle back and forth. Even when your in game not just in ur stash building them
I'm here bc of CoD, I played it on & off since CoD4 MW. Then in 2019 when that CoD released, I said to myself "what is the history of these guns." ...& after a year & a half of researching firearms, I finally joined the 2A community by buying KelTec's CP33 pistol!

The obrez rifle or gun is also in hunt: showdown. If you apriciate older like western guns you could check Hunt:Showdown
The FAL variant in the game is made by DSA. The base model is the "classic FAL" which you can then mod to be the SA58 OSW etc
You guys should bring back perfect pairs! 9MM Pistols and 9MM PCCs etc. Would love to see that.

The FAL in Tarkov is farely adjustable. Yes there is a SBR Variant (The most common one being the DS Arms Version), but beside that there are also the Belgian "Normal Size" Variant, as shown in the video as well as a Austrian Version. Along with alot of smaller customizations such as different handguards, stocks and a stock adapter for a Stock tube or even 50 Round Magazines. With the FAL you can basically go in every Direction you want ^^
Not only does the FA/SA-58 have the 16 inch barrel in tarkov. It offers an 11 and 20 inch barrel for you guys! As well as austrian and belgian furniture

16:43 Actually there is a sawed off stock that you can put a pistol grip on and a super short barrel in the game. But no stock to put on the end of the sawed stock.

So fun fact... in Tarkov you can indeed give an Obrez a pistol grip and suppressor, and even a full-length barrel, a sight mount with whatever you want on it. It is by far the most cursed weapon in the game
About a month ago I got an SKS in a trade from my neighbor, and it's a Norinco SKS,1967, all matching numbers. Traded my neighbor a laptop for the rifle lol

interesting thought, what would have happened in Vietnam, if the US adopted the AR-10, before, or in addition to the AR-15?
Would US Ordnance have played the same game, wrong gun powder, no cleaning kits, and no chrome lined bore/chamber?
If the AR-10 worked 100%, 7.62 NATO is heavy. Less ammo per soldier could have changed battles, unless accuracy was improved.
tbh i think the same thing would've happened, since the US mostly adopted the AR-15 due to it being chambered in 5.56 so at most maybe the XM-21/M21 would just look really different
They'd have realised 7.62 was large for fighting with in jungles and would have switched to 5.56 as the standard. 7.62 would be kept for MG and sniper roles as it is now.
If you're interested check out Smallarm Solutions video on that. Chris goes in deep on what happened with the M16/M-14 tragedy it cost God only knows how many their lives. The AR-10 should have been the rightfully adopted and in my opinion should still be in use today. Not just as a DMR/Sniper role.

i play tarkov everyday and i love this. actually i'm very shocked you guys didn't show the Mossberg 590 or a 308 vepr...there's even the M1A, G18C, and even a .366 AK. It's an awesome game and Nikita is an awesome dad.
I like large sandbox style games with an immersive storyline. Like the Fallout series. And Red Dead Redemption. Those kinds of games with online abilities to change the environment and update from time to time are what I enjoy the most. Multiplayer isn’t my cup of tea, I hate people. Lol.

The M4/AR gas system IS NOT "Direct Impingement".. It uses the BCG's GAS KEY as an extension of the GAS TUBE, it uses the gas to push the BCG from the BOLT - acting as a PISTON.
After the gas has engaged the internal piston mechanics, it forces the BCG backwards which disconnects the gas tube from the gas key, and the gas vents from the 2 holes out of the ejection port.
It's 100% not direct impingement, because the gas key isn't blocked off.
*Stoner's system is more like "the most advanced gas piston system in existence",* because it uses the existing parts as the piston which reduces weight, and it keeps the piston in line with the bore which keeps the recoil as in line with the bore as possible.
Yes, dude. They know this. For ease of communication and brevity everyone just calls it D.I. instead of "gas operated internal piston driven". Its also done to make a distinction b/t the "D.I." versions and the external piston versions whether they be short stroke or long stroke piston systems.
Everyone who is familiar with firearm operating mechanisms knows that its not a true D.I. system. There is really no need to be pedantic and get hung up in the minutia, especially when it has no relevance to the situation.
Eric and Chad y'all need to do a video on the 6-8 Western to show the ballistic capabilities of that cartridge it's new and not many know about it but I think a lot will want it when till you see the long-range capabilities of it

The obrez at the end can be made in tarkov you just cant put the stock and pistol grip on it but you can put a pick rail on it and you can suppress it
Y’all NEED to try Hell Let Loose it’s a hardcore EXTREMELY intense WW2 realistic shooter right now it’s just the western front mostly the Normandy campaign with the addition of Foy, Hill 400 and Hurtgen forrest. The Eastern front is releasing on the 27th with Kursk and Stalingrad
@iraqveteran8888 to your surprise, you can actually make a "Fugly" in Tarkov, for the most part. The pistol grip will be a tad different and a stock and suppressor too but it will look very similar!

I like Eric, but he's not the same Eric as when Barry was still with us. He's gone full commercial. Can't blame the guy, but I enjoyed the Eric of 10 years ago more. When he was still actually one of us.
I met Barry back around 2011 or 2012 on my way back from the Appalachian Trail. He was a very nice guy and he took the time to shoot the shit with me. He was very easy to talk to as well. Made me feel welcomed. So many gun shop employees act like you're pestering them and its like they don't want you to be there. Not so with him. I bought a case of .40 caliber bullets for reloading and a few other things.
I only met him once, but I'll always remember him. Can't say that about a lot of people I meet.

The "campaign mode" is kinda built into the game it's all multiplayer but it's pvp and PvE at the same time so you've got times where it's you vs the computer or you vs the other players or you vs everyone all at the same time while including a detailed mission set.
tarkov didnt just get me into firearms it got me into its history it got me into the history and different types of gear and what ammo and armor do and military tactics changed my life quite a bit.

Battlefield 3 and 4 really got me into firearms, I live in South Africa where we can own guns but it is a long process to get a permit, I got a glock 19x that I am waiting on the permit and planning to buy a Ar15 soon.
