I show a couple tips on how to fix a leaky Delta Faucet. If you have a leak out of the handle, you need to replace the oring. If it is a leak out of the spout, you would first check the seat and then replace the cartridge. - Хобби
This was fantastic and immensely helpful. Those new cartridges are going for $15 each, so a small project of replacing all cartridges in all sinks in your house can turn out to be pretty expensive. I did not know the valuable tip of replacing the seat first. Makes total sense. It makes sense to troubleshoot and/or replace seats (or cartridges if necessary) all at the same time. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks for the very clear instructions and the plumbers grease was a great tip. Also thanks for the understanding of why the seat wears out in time. Excellent!

This is a great how-to video !! Well done.
I watched tons of videos regarding my Brizo faucets, and this has finally cleared some of my doubts when it comes to how the bottom of cartridge will shut the water that is coming through, by blocking the seat. Which it makes sense. But when i tried to block the seat with bottom side of cartridge, the ceramic piece in the bottom broke. Also, i wish this video addressed the issue in case someone forgot to what side the lever must be put back. If someone cant remember to which direction the lever must be placed back, to avoid closing it in a weird direction against the orientation it supposed to.
And for the idiots back home (like myself) don't forget the cut-off valve under the sink before you get started.
1- plumbers grease is not meant for oring lube, and eventually the oring will expand from the grease, making the handle hard to open and close. 2. If you have mineral deposits on the surface of your brass body where the cartridge sits, you can clean it by sticking a rag wetted down with vinegar in the hole for an hour and then cleaning it out 3 if you do t want to mar the locknjt just use adjustable wrenches, which is a better tool for that task anyway. Good video
great job explaining. after watching your video i cured my leaking spout. thank you sir!!!

I loved your video, I wish I had that model, but mine has the screw once I pull that little round cover off. I wonder if you can show us how to change the one with the screw of top, once I take the screw , I can take the handle off, but I am left with this bell shape cover, how do I pull that off?

We bought a new cartridge, seat, ring and it is still leaking. It's like before. We would turn and turn but the shower knob would just loose. We bought everything new but the leak it still there...! Help!
Great video, but you forgot to mention the first step is to shut water off by turning both valves under the sink to off like i mentioned otherwise you well have running water allover the floor.
Yes, shutting off the water is a good first step!
Just took mine apart and headed to the hardware store. What is the best way to the put the spring and seal back in so it locks?
Hi, you can use a precision screwdriver or nail to guide the spring and seat into the faucet. Put the spring wide side down with the seat on.

@@FIXITHomeImprovementChannel thanks used the Allen wrench that I took the handle off to guy it in! Leaking is stopped u rock!
At the end of the video "If it is still leaking you have to replace the entire cartridge". There is another washer inside the cartridge. Pull the side base and the top stem apart to access the washer.
Yes, thank you, I should have shown that.
