I agree with you 100% on the Shia LeBeouf approach of just doing it. I don't know how entertaining my videos are to others but I always try my best to create something that people enjoy watching. Whether I have camera fails, editing screw ups, etc, doesn't really matter. I'm getting content out there and that means I'm already one step ahead. I appreciate this video and the fact that it reminds me that big things on youtube take time.

I have to tell you, the biggest barrier for me are my insecurities. This video helped a ton! I am a perfectionist, and it's difficult to get going with something when I know it's not perfect. It won't get better unless I just do it though, so I'm stuck! Going to take your advice though, and just push through it, and hope I get better with time!

I really want to start a RUclips channel and I'm happy (for now anyway) to use my iPhone and iMovie to record and edit. The only thing is my mom is concerned about the safety of it and she thinks it's unnecessary to make videos. I don't know how to convince her to let me. I'm only 12 btw

wish I could just sit and ask you questions!
