ATEEZ are drowning in charisma and it shows in ever performance they have. They’re definitely one of my favorite groups to watch.
I think the first half is just to sum up the World Series so that’s why it sounds similar to their other cyberpunk tunes, the second half definitely adds colour to the album!

While this wasn't my favorite Ateez album, they did mention this was the close of this era. Im excited to see what the future brings!

I get what you mean about the repetitiveness. I personally love this transformer ass sounding synths and distorted/ cyberpunk/ dystopian sound so I am pleased to hear them continue doing it because I haven't heard it much in kpop overall or executed so well anyways. After I listened to this I was like yet again they've made music for *ME* 😂
what I'd like to hear more of is Jongho's lower register, hope they tap into that more soon.

There is a reason as to why this group is one of my ults- second one being seventeen. It’s that star quality you talked about and them always giving 100 if not 1000% in everything they do. If I’m being honest, this is not one of my fav titles from them (yet) but there are some parts of this song and choreo I enjoy, btw the instrumental is sickkkk. Ateez demolished MAMA again (as expected) and I am proud of their growth, man they have a great discography too. I have been waiting for some slower or chill songs from them and now we got them in the other half of the album.
I love the conversations you have around the music you review! I know how you feel 100%, too. It's like you love Ateez, and you see what they're capable of and you'll follow along while knowing they haven't made your favorite album yet. And then when it does come out you're never going to be the same haha.
For me, this album is so fun and joyful that it became my favorite of theirs. I've always said I think my all-time favorite album will come after The World arc, though, so this has also made me super excited for the future. Thank you!!

NGL, this comeback made me feel certain type of way. Their MAMA performance was wiiiiild. And it reminds me of their 2018 performance (which made me an atiny). Their songs are great but their performances are greater. As you said, each of then was meant to be a star and it’s just logic for them to succeed. I feel that they’re just at their beginning

Yooo that 57 sec interlude was HEAVENELY!! I’d love more songs like that but also it was a great production choice! But yes the second half was more for me.

I’m gonna listen to it in the gym tomorrow. It’ll probably hit differently in headphones too. I think people forget that also first impressions are what they are. This can always change

The 'skrr skrr skrr' in arriba turns me off SO MUCH, like I can't even get that out of my head!!!!
It's so disappointing because I like the rest of the song. I like the different tones and beat but that skrr, skrr in the chorus immediately took me out of it.

I totally get what u mean by their production taking over their songs to the point of not being able to hear their voices. I wasn't aware initially of how great their voices were. I was very surprised when I heard San's actual voice. They're a strong team and I'd like to hear it more too.
When I saw what songs you were listening to I thought "oh he's probably not going like those a whole lot", lol. I'm glad you liked the title! It took me a few listens - how stripped back it was threw me off but now I'm into it.
Since this is the end of the World era, I think there will be a shift in their sound, maybe not a huge one but one nonetheless. The Treasure series, the Fever series, and the World series all sound different, and with the pirate ship showing up at the end, I wouldn't be surprised if we see more of a return to how they sounded during the Treasure series. But Ateez surprise me, so who knows.
i def think the second half of the album will be more of what youre looking for from them~ voices are on better display and they explore a few different genres , plus we got unit songs for the first time!!! also amen to ateez being born to be stars

Just came from a comment situation from someone else's channel and I just gotta say how freeing it is to listen to someone state their opinion, in well thought out, mature way, and know that if I disagree in any way in the comments, it's ok. He's not gonna immediately think I'm coming for him. He may comment why he disagrees with my critique/assessment or say he understands where I'm coming from, but there won't be a whole portion of his next video (probably 😊) talking about how he doesn't care what other people think or talk about people being upset because they disagree with him. My thoughts on the lore are that they're going to be a big shift soon. Like you said the outfits gave earlier mvs and there were so many references to previous eras in this mv. It's almost like when you have overcome a challenge and you look back and reflect on how far you came if you get me? And from the almost light carefree nature of the boys in the mv, I think something good is about to happen

i am still not through listening to the whole thing because i was so sick that literally every piece of music was hurting my head, but the few songs i have heard i liked. although i don’t think it will top the outlaw album for me, because that had just hit me like a train back then 🤌🏻

for me it kinda makes sense that they still used heavy synths or the static again, because lore wise it’s fitting and it concludes this era quite well (you definitely can hear that those albums flow into each other), BUT i totally get what you mean, and i too, am so ready to see what the new era will bring out in them. i feel lighter sounds coming maybe 🥹 also i feel like every atiny would agree with the thing you said about Jongho and his high notes. he has such a lovely lower register and the other members can pull off amazing high notes as well, so it would be a dream to see them change it up sometimes, but oh well. Jonghos high notes are ome of the things that reel in new fans i guess 👀
This is kinda wild bc i feel like all the issues you have are resolved by the second half of the album with the unit songs lol
Yupp which proves they were thinking exactly what I did lol and as someone said the first half was tying up the trilogy sonically which now makes sense too so no one can get mad at my issues haha

Agree with you on the fatigue with the pervasive use of autotone all over K-pop production these days. I always wonder if it's being used to camouflage vocal weaknesses so def hope to see production pull away from it everywhere.
I felt this album was easier to listen to overall than the last one. I also found the structural similarities are more forgivable when I think of it as a soundtrack/concept album, which allows for the 'continuity of sound' I guess, for lack of a better term. It feels like we've closed a loop on all the early concept/world-building, so I'm really excited about what surprises might be coming for the next albums.
Agreed! I think in ATEEZ’s case is more for a feeling as opposed to vocal weaknesses but I hear you!
What i find interesting is that their music or anyone's music will not be loved by everyone and i believe thats okay. Not everybody will like you or what you do. I do really love the album because it is very diverse in terms of sounds. We have our typical sound in the first part and the second one is heavy vocally.
For me as far as the do music they love and enjoy i'll keep trusting them. They are beyond what words can describe, because the world they are building around their lore is extreme, beautiful and interesting. To say i love and i enjoy the songs ( matz is strange as hell) is an understatement.
Plus "its you" is cunt ( thats quite explicit😂😂😂😂)

Everything( is heartbreaking and breathtaking)
Silver light is my favorite in this album, shit the vocals( it is stuck in my head)

Your frustrations regarding them having a song where they just sing is really my general pet peeve with kpop. It seems the companies do not really care much about this except for a few. There are very few groups that serve a good song with great vocals and give you harmonies and range, adlibs and just the stuff that people who enjoy just sing enjoy. But unfortunately, kpop has to give your other things and often vocal is not gonna be a priority. I agree with you, I wanna hear mid to low Jongho where is is not constantly aiming to reach a high note because his voice tone and vibrato is honestly really great. I want a song where they can just sing and harmonise, they have improved so much since debut and it would be magic! I have heard it in some of their songs but I want more!. I know you appreciate how good the group is, but I think in general, they music they make is just not for you and I think you keep waiting to hear something different from them in hopes that its more your style. The World Eps are very specific in concept and sound and honestly why I am a fan, its very dark and rich and has a lot going on. I think because they are a performance-focused group, their music tends to appeal to the energy they have on stage. I think you will get more of what you want in the rest of the album. I love that this album continues the sound from the previous but in a toned down way almost but also gives us variety and the sub-unit songs give other members more shine. It suck that there is 9 of them, everyone gotta sing right, but I think it would be great to Hear San/ Yunho take over the high notes and Jongho do some low notes, Seonghwa s rapping style I like very much, its different from the other 2 and def adds more colour. Woo s sweet vocals often get lost in the music, he could use a song or 2 to shine too.
Love this!! Yes I definitely enjoyed the album a lot more but I LOOOVED Bouncy and I think even some of the other bsides as well as a heap of other previous bsides so I do enjoy their music but I get frustrated when it gets toooo formulaic and that applies to any group really. Especially when the vocals are distorted SO OFTEN!
@@Koko3op They do have some great b sides and I am still discovering new songs. I am excited for their next project maybe they will give us something fresh, maybe they will hear us 🥲and give us some nice clean vocals and maybe they can have a go at RNB hehe. Love your videos BTW!
Sometimes I forget why I watch reactions, then whenever Ateez drop something new I remember why. Watching others reactions is interesting and funny.
Interesting because you learn to understand others different opinions on something that you love, I don’t agree with you in many instances but I accept (such a big word from an unknown RUclips viewer 😅) your opinions and I love to see from other POVs something that I enjoy that can help me appreciate more because I understand more my tastes, in this case in K-pop.
You’re my reference when it comes to vocals, arrangement, tone, melodies and other fancy music terms that I want to write 😂. There are other reactors that I look forward to for other kind of analysis like Carkpop in rapping, Form of therapy and Jordan Orme in editing and production and many others.
And it’s so fascinating to listen together songs I love and then hear different and or points that I missed.

You're right their charisma, energy and personalities are bursting through the screen its infectious!!! They can be serious like Guerilla and Halazia but I found that I enjoy these humourous and fun concepts like The Real, Bouncy and Crazy Form more. I wonder what the next album series would be like.

I have the same opinion about less autotune and distortion! For me its a shame that their pretty voices are overshadowed by production and voice effects so much you cant clearly hear them.

Thank you for your reaction and honest opinion! I'm atiny since debut and I couldn't agree more. We need sweet cute songs and ballads to come back. Title tracks are still great, but a little bit more variety in the album would be great. My only hope is that we'll finally get a new sound in the next album series as the world series is over. But majority of atinys enjoy this kind of sound so I won't set my expectations too high

Have you not listened to the album yet? Everything is literally a ballad, the whole album is so diverse in terms of music & that's why it's one of my favs.
As a fan of them i actually get your complants coz i have also been saying the same since the world era began. Like less of the autotune n distortion i just wanna hear these boys sing lol is that too much to ask for😂. They did something different in the 2nd half of the album but there is room for improvement. Overally for me they just need a new producer...

The auto tune on Yeosangs voice is not a lot. Yeosang has to make his voice deep it doesn’t always come out deep, so if Hongjoong wants him to do a higher note than what he normally does he can. Most of the time people just see him for his deep voice and think it’s natural and he just sings like that. It’s not. he has to make it that deep. There is a tiny bit of auto tune on that section is all I’m saying.
What I find interesting is that you clearly don't like the style ateez are going for but at the same time you seem to love very similar songs from "bigger" artists.
Does your "honesty" disappear when you have to deal with a bigger fandom? 💀
@Megan-bw5zh I’m literally honest all the time and have a range of ATEEZ reactions, I also enjoy songs from lesser well known artists so what’s my excuse for that? What similar songs from bigger artists do I love pray tell?
Also do you think Ateez is a nugu group? In this very video whilst praising their star quality I said that’s why they’re at the top … which insinuates that they’re big artists … because they are so your comment literally makes no sense. I should be blindly positive no?

Well I could really care less about your little "frustration" this album is fuckin dope they have really upgraded their songs and their new tries attempted in this album was so easy to tell and it was really fresh and nice as well as keeping their own identity. This might actually be one of the top albums they have in their productions/discography. If you are not really fan of distortion and autotune and all those typical ateez vibes then this group is not for you, might as well just not listen to them.
