There are so many things that are textbook fear inducing about the beginning of this. the terror of the man, the fact he is restrained, the spider like robot on his hand, the long claw like fingers of the Necron, his robotically sudden yet hauntedly smooth movements of his arms, the loud thud of his four legs. You just feel the fear.

Honestly, if this series had more of this I would love it, the Necron moments are just delightful.
So Szeras DID informed the Deathmark about the zombies appearing in his mission.

He was suggesting Illuminator use the destroyers to seek out and “destroy” the targets, but he informs “this one” that destroyers kill and then go beyond their orders and keep killing other shit. He wants these targets wiped out with precision, and not brute force as they will have to be wrangled back into their slumber after the job is done. Lord has it that they just go apeshit and shoot at anything in sight.
@@datziklegendz1225 yes, you missed the point of my comment which was making fun of the fact that a mere Deathmark talked back to *the* Illuminator Szeras, the literal architect of the Necrons, who clearly, judging from his head turn and annoyed response indicates he's not used to being questioned.

Ive been rewatching these videos but the one thing i keep asking is what is szeras doing to these ppl?
Basically in the lore, these fellows once had souls, but were tricked by the gods into these metallic bodies with no souls. He's experimenting on captured soldiers to see if this curse can be undone...not very successfully I may add lol

Im new to the lore but im really really interested in all things warhammer and while i can use context clues im not entirely sure of what exactly is happening here so if any good Samaritan would care to explain id be grateful
Szeras, the big robot crab, extracted data from that soldier in the beginning that revealed human survivors. He thus employs the Deathmark, deadly Necron assassins, to kill them, but the Deathmark believes it to be a waste of his abilities.

This battle takes place in a region of space (the parish nexus) that the Necrons (the robo people) have split from the warp.
Because humans are connected to the warp Vis their soul (super simplified) and the Necrons don't have one anymore (long story) they assumed an easy win.
As all humans would surely fail to function.
The power of faith + human stubbornness ruined that plan because they kept working (simplified). This is the leader of the Necrons cast trying to study wtf is going on with these humans and can he weaponise it, being annoyed that so many soldiers are still doing things so he wakes an assassin.
Assassin is a bit weird because sometimes weird echoes of the souls they no longer have (still a long story) can mess up the code.
