Great video! Really cool to see my own sets featured in your work! I think it's a good overview of how she works. From myself on a deeper level I would add something, you touch on it a bit when you mention that she has some awkward conversions, that's definitely true. On a deeper level, something that most people probably don't realize, is that her goal is to get you to the corner, probably more so than most characters (I know corner is good for everyone but it's even more for her). The way tatami works with the blowback now and her general conversions, those are designed to push the opponent back or carry them to the corner, which is where her gameplan actually starts. She's extremely dangerous when cornering because of the tatami flapdown being very plus, and the ability to combo off tatami. Hitting an opponent with 5S or 2S while crouched combos into tatami (or from a counter hit) starting off the big damage combos. I think of her a bit as a "trapper" character where she wants to trap the opponent and punish them for doing something incorrect. People used to think of her mainly as a turtling character but that's just a shade of her gameplan. Cool watch!! Baku is the best.

One day I wish to do all that cool stuff like you but until then it is wondering why my 412 P comes out as 2P in the input reader at the end of my BnB 75% of the time (I think it’s my controller). Though I do think people do understand how important the corner is to baiken. It’s one of the first things you learn when looking into her game plan. Or at the very least it’s one of the first things I learned.
Awesome video. Right out the gate, Woocash really nails what can make Baiken either an enthralling matchup or an infuriating one; she forces you to play very differently.
Ohhhhhh (slightly annoyed baiken main exhaling though their teeth), Ok I have some things I want to correct about this video. I know this was made with respect to the character but you glossed over so much stuff and if I were to go though it all no one would read it. But a lot of my complaints boil down to “There is a lot of subtle stuff that was not explained!” So just to clear one or two things up, baiken does not have the hardest execution in the game. A lot of it comes from her combos being weird (there is a historical explanation for this I just don’t have the space for). A lot of the hard stuff comes from getting your opening like IAD mat and tk DP. But OVERALL it really is not all that bad, just a bit harder then other charters and often for reasons you won’t get till you explore why the combos work. You also completely disregarded a lot of other stuff baiken has but this comment is already to long. I might show up to the discord to go over everything but I can tell you were trying your Best to dumb things down for a shorter run time and could not get everything out. Also, change your thumbnail you are completely shitting on I-No players! they deal with way worse stuff than we do!
I agree Baiken isn't the hardest character in the game only that her combo routes can be wierd compared to the rest of the cast. I say this as a low level player Honestly the hardest part of Baiken is learning your opponent since you need to learn the gaps in their offense to use your alpha counters efficiently
Good, you understand. Though I would say alpha counters, how are far more lenient then you would think. I think you can’t summarize baiken in 10 minutes because there’s just too much to go over and to much about how her Kit functions to dumb it down without loosing A LOT.
Getting into +r for the first time recently bc of a friend, cool to see you making content on both games ive been playing more, easily becoming a channel i look forward to see uploads from :D
@@1inimilian567 If this is a test or something, I'd be more than willing to play you, and prove my skills. I'm 50 hours short of 1k. Its the only fighting game I play, and I'm not as good as Pmage, or any of the other oldheads, but I often finish sessions online with a positive W/L.
Na not really though I do play justice too. I will tell you being a justice and baiken main does not leave you with many friends. But I manage to not make people to mad by just . . . Not being a very good player.
After having a bit of a character crisis I decided to pick her up and even with my trash execution I can win some QM games occasionally. +R is a hard game, every character has a wall you have to overcome somewhere in their gameplan, Baiken's wall is just right there at the start but once you start getting over it the top tier privileges are huge. Sidenote I'm european, do you think I could get some MBAACC games if I hopped into the server anyway?
Robert Kyle or the shortest paul brother? I dont think normal ky is that hard to execute, he just doesn't revolve around explosive damage like a lot of the other characters do, so your play has to be a lot more consistant.
I think he is referring to high-level Ky play. I have heard from some good players that his stuff gets really hard at the higher end of skill. Though I found it more strange that he did not mention I-No
@@1inimilian567 "ky, chipp, eddie, ino and johnny" please read. Also ky optimal combos involving the impossible combo are pretty widely considered some of the most difficult match practical combos.

The main mbaacc servers do have specific channels for European matchmaking, so you should definitely be able to find games :D

Depends on what you’re doing, she’s not that hard on a basic level but if you wanna get the most of her with J.D FD cancels, she’s definitely up there
