I loved Agro as a kid I’m now 43 years old nothing has changed I still laugh as hard and loud as I did back than nothing was better going to school after watching agro and Ann-marie

During the ad. With the rock bands. There was a mention of a group called skyhook. "Red" Simmons was the lead guitarist. Red also is qualified in science and pure maths.
Sump oil is the the oil that's drained from a car. It's an Aussie thing lol. Love your work.
It’s not an Aussie thing it’s called sump oil because it comes from the engine sump, that’s a universal thing not an Aussie thing

Fat Cat and Friends was another kids tv show back in the day. Fat Cat never spoke back then either haha. Ryan, a Sump is the bottom part of a motor engine where the oil collects before being pumped back to the top of the motor.
Everytime I hear Ryan say “Argo” I just think… “%#& yourself!” 😂

Fat Cat had a show that played for preschoolers in the mornings, Fat Cat and Friends. However, at 7.30pm Fat Cat would appear on the telly again to say goodnight. When Fat Cat went to bed, most young kids would know it was also their bedtime. It worked most of the time as well.
I just quickly researched when Fat Cat stopped doing that and apparently it was in the 90s, though Fat Cat still says goodnight to the kids in Perth. 😽🙀😿
My favourite episodes are with Plucka Duck and Agro, funny as. Plucka is great, so naughty 😆

The man behind agro Jamie Dunn Also was one of the Brisbane B105 morning radio shows presenters. I was an apprentice at the time and it was always cranking on the stereo. He was much different with no Agro.

I'd never been allowed to watch tv in the morning but my mate told me to watch Boriss breakfast club. I'd got a TV in my room. The first one of the kids to have one in my room. I used to get up have breaky then get dressed while watching it and run out of the house at the last minute
I remember watching a doco about him and his family taking care of a pacific islander child showed that off screen he had a big heart.

We call a engine's oil pan a sump, so sump oil is just engine oil for car truck ect

He's interviewed many international stars and some loved him, but some were unkind and I think it was because he was a bleeder and had unfortunate accidents when shaving. Fat Cat and the other characters are children's show hosts on the Government owned TV channel ABC and are as straight-laced as they come. They also do not speak which is a problem on this game show and why Agro calls them dummies. Fat Cat is Agro's complete opposite.
Fat Cat was on Channel 7, like Agro. He wasn't competition, Fat Cat came on after Agro at 9:00am, as part of the Preschool hour. He was up against Play School on the ABC.

Ryan, a little explanation of Agro's answers
- Oven mitts, because when you take stuff off the BBQ/camp fire it's usually very hot (you're going on holidays, you're going to have a fire of some kind 🤣)
- Sump Oil, before you go on holidays you service your car so it doesn't give you trouble ruining your holiday, so the left over oil from the car's engine sump you keep it and bring with you, it's a great and cheap fire starter 🤣
