Carl is great, no swearing. If you get a P.O box and someone sends Vegemite, don't try it until we give you specific instructions. Most people put too much on toast, and spread it all wrong, don't use enough butter, toast incorrectly, then don't like it. It's an art form.
Carl actually swears a lot - it's just not used in an aggressive way so it's often overlooked. Re-watch the clip and you'll see he probably got into double figures (Edit: I was curious as this was one of his first international sets so he had tamed it down a bit. 10 "swears" in this one: 1x piss off, 2x dickheads and 7x shits). Theres a clip where he's talking about an Aussie Phone Carrier called Telstra - that has several f-bombs in a few seconds =P
Happy Arvo! I really enjoy Carl Barron. He has a routine about his parents. It’s hysterical! I love his deadpan humour. It’s really important to Australians that you are able to “take the piss out of yourself” ie: make fun of yourself. Our humour can be very self-deprecating. Thanks for the video!
I agree! The dancing with his drunk mum joke, the shit on a stick dad joke and the Troy's hand sniffing joke are classic Carl. He's a national treasure!
I’m totally Aussie ( oma opa ) is because my parents were Dutch and my granddaughter wanted to acknowledge her great grandparents that she absolutely loved and has cherished memories of
I say Arvie, tomozzie, and have friends who certainly still say arvo. Hell, I know a guy who says crickey unironically. Just depends from which neck of the woods you are in.
I am 55 and I still say all the old Ausie colloquialisms we were brought up with, but with all the America stuff clogging up our airways no wonder the younger generation have no clue. Have a happy arvo though sounds weird, it's always been have a good arvo.
You must find the Carl Barron segment when he talks about thongs. Having a conversation with an American and mixing up the difference between thongs for the feet in Australia versus women’s G strings in America. It’s an absolute scream.
Went to a comedy show in Sydney & when Carl came out he had the audience in stitches for what seemed like 2 minutes & he hadn't uttered a word. His mannerisms were hysterical. Any clip you find of Carl will not let you down. He truly is an Australian icon.
Love Carl, super talented. Look for his piano improv. He's seriously underrated, possibly because his humour is so self deprecating. Really clever guy! 😂❤ Enjoy your channel Ryan, thanks for making the effort and sharing! 🤗😃
Carl is a crack up, love watching all his shows. "Piss Off" is telling someone to go away as well as "I pissed off" is like saying, I went away. "You're pissed" means your drunk..oh there's heaps. I love watching Americans try and get the strayan slang.
Carl Barron is from my hometown, Longreach, he used to live up Wompoo road. I remember before he got famous he would tell jokes at the RSL. Abosolute national treasure🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Carl was my little brother's favourite comedian, and one of mine. My brother used to tell his kids to pull his finger and then let rip. They would laugh until they cried and go back for more.

G'day Ryan. Loving your videos 🙂Honestly though mate, not many people here in Australia say "Happy Arvo". Yes we do say arvo instead of afternoon the majority of the time, although we rarely, if ever, say happy and arvo in the same two word greeting. Perhaps "Good arvo".
0:58 Carl says, 'How are you going?' which is an extremely common Aussie thing to say. But our accent makes it turn into 'hah yah garn' (say it fast and really nasally)
That's the thing I love about Carl Barron, nobody could possibly be offended by him and if they are, there's something seriously wrong with them. We used to call the silent farts SBD's - Silent but deadly 🤣👌 I highly recommend watching his show about the Aussie language is a smart arse language.
Haha Carl Baron is a classic. And I agree, he is as funny as he is because of his deadpan expressions and monotone voice lol you should watch more of him
Carl was always a favourite for the house when my girls were teens, you could put him on and you knew he was a "safe" watch lol. He's so laid back he's almost asleep ;)
Carl Barron is one of the best, he is a clean comedian, I dont think Ive ever heard him say worse that "sh!t".. Just classic short one liners or short stories.. ALWAYS a belly laugh or two..
Proud to say I'm Queenslanderrrr ... Carl is a true Aussie, met him in Brisbane when I saw his show..funny bustard 😅 happy arvo Ryan..hope you're doing great mate 👍🏾 👌🏾
How are you not laughing so hard you can't speak or move?! I freaking LOVE Carl Baron!!! You need to do another one reacting to his "Fifi!!" Video. Holy shit I love him so much, when I watch any of his stuff I get cramps in my abs just from laughing!
A couple of translations: When he came on he said "G'day how ya garn?" That is basic Aussie English and roughly translates to Good day and how are you going? In Australia for some reason we ask how people are going rather than how they are doing. The other thing that stumped you was he said that he worked as a "roof tiler." In Australia we use roof tiles rather than shingles.
Carl is one of our funniest comedians. I adore him I laugh so much. He has beilliant short clups on RUclips. Great choice Ryan. You have to come over here. Xx
Hi thank you for the tears of laughter , gotta love the Australian humor much like ours in new Zealand, You might like Billy T James from new Zealand he's long gone now but back in the day he was a comedian here totally halirious guy. Have an amazing weekend 👍🙂
There is also a sign that says WILDLIFE & VEHICLE CRASH ZONE I have visions of wildlife waiting for a car to crash into! I also get a laugh every time I watch the Great Aussie Joke segment on Hey Hey It's Saturday!
He's well loved. Good solid clean safe comedy. Lots of people learn how to communicate with us Aussies through watching him. He only does theatres and big venues these days. Doesn't need to do the hard and tough relentless touring of comedy rooms around the country. Rarely does interviews or tv or radio spots. He's quite shy.
Carl is a legend. He can make you laugh until you fall off your chair. At the somber end of the Aussie spectrum is a song by Eric Bogle, 'And the band played Waltzing Matilda'. It's a song recounting the experiences of an Aussie soldier during WWI. We have two very important dates during the year commemorating our Military, 25th April (ANZAC Day) and 11th November (Remembrance Day). ANZAC Day, 25 April 1915 is the day Australians and New Zealanders landed on the beach at Gallipoli, our first day involved in WWI. Remembrance Day, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Armistice was signed ending WWI. At 11am, the whole country takes a minutes silence. A link to Eric Bogles' song is here if you are interested, ruclips.net/video/cnFzCmAyOp8/видео.html
I love that you've made Happy Arvo a thing, a Ryanism😜 hehe. That was funny 🤣 Check out Kitty Flannigan some time too. She's another great Aussie comedian.
I love Carl. No abusive language, no ridicule a lot of observational and self deprecating humour. Perfect!
Carl is great, no swearing. If you get a P.O box and someone sends Vegemite, don't try it until we give you specific instructions. Most people put too much on toast, and spread it all wrong, don't use enough butter, toast incorrectly, then don't like it. It's an art form.
Did you see the latest Fairbairn video? Lachlan eats a TABLESPOON of vegemite! It was put out today.
@@QuestionThingsUseLogic 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the correct way is to put the whole jar on a single slice. any other way is wrong. also, he does swear.
Just don't spread it thickly, it's not Nutella!

Have always loved Carl's comedy. Never fails to crack me up. So simple, so natural but always so true. He just has a way. Lol hahaha 🇭🇲💜😘
Gotta love Carl Barron, such a funny funny man, laugh so hard, never gets old.
You must find the Carl Barron segment when he talks about thongs. Having a conversation with an American and mixing up the difference between thongs for the feet in Australia versus women’s G strings in America. It’s an absolute scream.

Carl has the bestest Aussie dry humor just like the rest of us Aussies. We say shit for how it is, simples!! 😂
