Australians are the first people to laugh at our own language and culture so foreigners shouldn't take offence when we make fun of theirs . Carl is a comedian who is never offensive or demeaning and is really just an observationist who can see the humour in every day life , a whole lot of Aussies including myself think the same way .
Agreed. I’m 1/2 Italian and my wife’s late parents migrated out to Australia from Serbia in 1963 and we take the piss out of our cultures almost on a daily basis. We call each other “Wogs” all the time, too. No one gets upset.
Carl is one of the BEST!🥰I once had a licence photo that was so bas the cop that pulled me over for a random breath test had to call his partner over to have a look and were both in hysterics over it🤣🤦♀
That was the cutest thing ever. When he said " Are you laughing at me?", with a huge smile on his face, adorable. I haven't seen that before as I've never watched *that* Footy Show ( There were two, one for AFL, one for Rugby League. That was the RL show). Funny, when you said it's gonna be a young Carl, I was thinking, he's gonna look the same isn't he? Thanks for that Ryan. ❤

Carl's humour is so contagious. He just makes normal things funny. Like one time when apparently he did something wrong and his dad said "come here, you going to get punished" and Carl said "why the heck would I go over THERE if that is going to happen" just like we probably heard all of our dads say the same thing, or something similar. Love Carl.

One thing you NEED to understand about Aussie's, even Japanese ppl living in Australia long enough or born and raised here, would NEVER be offended by that Japanese joke. I do t even think it's it's borderline, it's harmless, but also consider the fact Carl pokes a lot of fun at himself and the Australians aswell
The red-head is Paul "Fatty" Vautin [vortin]. He usually played 1st or 2nd row in Rugby League - he was a big boy and a veteran player asked who the "fatty" was and the name stuck. Carl can get away with those jokes because 1. they are about language not people and 2. He is an equal opportunity comedian - he takes the piss out of everyone !

That red headed commentator was a former rugby league player who repped qld in state of origin. So now you know what programme you saw Carl Baron Appear on. SeeYA is just how a lot of Aussie's say goodbye, even if it's just for 1hour lol like at work I will say CYA Mate after a job but in one hour I'm doing another job with him lol
Happy Arvo Ryan! Red heads are a thing here - there's red heads in my family and I have neices and nephews with red hair.
