Hola Al! I'M glad that you started Jiujitsu! I'm a blue belt from Argentina, and Jiujitsu was one of the reasons I started to look for calisthenics training and found you! Big hug AND keep going!!!
I've been doing Jiu Jitsu for a year now... I feel like all the bodyweight stuff I was doing for years (thanks to training from you and Danny) gave me a good base for strength and resilience in my joints, etc.
You have to find a balance between your bodyweight training and your ju jitsu practice, but the most important thing is to have fun in them😊
🎉❤Thanks for sharing that steady and slow DOES win the race 💪🥇
Welcome to the World of BJJ.
Happy to hear from you Al , all the best 🌟
Another great video.👍🏼❤️
Since you’re my trainer and I’m dealing with knee pain these days, you know how meaningful this video is to me!!
Thank you, Al. You're an inspiration.
Manual labor job also requires more time between workouts. Recovery is hard to manage but extremely important.
Glad to see you training sir been watching you for a long time. Huge fan of muay thai and jiu jitsu myself, and this go around have been at it almost two years (in the past it's bee sporadic) that shoulder/neck/peck discomfort SUCKS, thanks for showing the rope flow thing because it's awful and I figured it's just something I must live with. Age 37 now and gotta be more careful than ever when it comes to injuries and such. Glad you're getting back to it! 💪
Jiu Jitsu really can lead to some annoying injuries. I learnt that hard way : elbows , wrists , fingers , knees...
I guess the key of avoiding injuries is to be relaxed during rolls , not using much power , being in flow mode and enjoy
Obviously , easier said , than done
Great vid & lots of wisdom there.
Thank you brother 😎🙏
Great! I‘m about to start in BJJ too. But right now I have to wait until a nasty bicep tendonitis heals
Hey, hey, hey, Al! Happy Birthday! These Jujitsu videos are awesome!
Hey, hey, hey Al! Have a happy bday brother!👍🏾
Thank you 💪🏽🫶🏿
From my 4 decades of training, I learned really well that if you train a specific way, you will only be better at that... You are always beginner of what you've been not doing....
Hey Al! What motivated you to start ju jitso?
What's the difference between Brazilian JJ and American JJ...is it a location difference?
I might be wrong but I think the biggest difference is the Gi or lack thereof
I see that you have used the rope flow for shoulders. What would you recommend for knees? Thank you 🙏
👍👍👍
Loving the bjj clips. I’ve trained in bjj for 8 yrs and progressive calisthenics for 10. I recently wanted to pursue a certification in calisthenics. Any one have any advice for a legit program? I’d love to start teaching.
Ice baths, fasting, carnivore, Jiu-Jitsu…. If you add in weed and a podcast you’re basically Joe Rogan at this point haha.
Several years ago I heard that Joe had ordered a bunch of stuff from Dragon Door (kettlebells, books, etc.) including some of my stuff. I kept waiting to see if I’d hear from him or if he would mention me on the podcast. I’m still waiting. 😄
The goals for my 45th are to be my high school weight and be more beautiful than I was then.
BJJ is suck for older man.
Be careful bro. Choose your partners. BJJ, or AJJ, is designed to maime
