I love Japanese Paimon. One of the only characters that I let her finish her voice lines. Like commented and subscribed 👍

I kinda agree with that, she annoy me but I don't hate her. I think she have a role, summarize and do the talking but I don't think she has a purpose, at least with what we know so far

I would have liked paimon more , if she was actually helpful in the gameplay.
Like lets say i am stuck in a puzzle and i cant figure it out . Then paimon would give me some hints . But no she doesnt do anything. And i have to look up at google .
If there was some secret chest , paimon could tell me to check it out perhaps .but no she doesnt do that either .
Even tho she loves treasure so much.
I only dislike paimon because she is over used in the story. She have way way more lines then anyone else . And i do not like that . They should give more lines to other characters so they can be fleshed out more.
Paimon should have only been a comedy side kick sometimes. That's about it .
But none of this actually happened so i dispise paimon more then anyone.
Because she ruins all the story for me . And i do consider her very rude and selfish . And controlling and basically a leach .
As she doesnt do anything and reaps all the benefits.
And always is disrespectful to everyone for no reason .
And most of all . She ruined fishing mechanic.
I don't want to hear her lines every single time .

I dunno man, I fkin love Paimon, she's definitely my favourite character in the entire game, and the mystery of what she even is is driving me through the story. Although when she tells me we should explore this area later I would gladly stomp her tiny carcass into a pancake and smoke the flowers that grow from the fertilised soil she leaves behind.

I really do think there's an issue with the writing and translation, and not just with Paimon. (or even just in Genshin, coming from a ToT fan)
The first time this really stood out to me was during Raiden's 2nd quest where she kept mentioning her sister, but instead of calling her "her" or "my sister" she kept saying her full name, which is obviously not how real people speak. The same thing is happening with every character, but especially Piamon, since she has the most voice lines. Maybe it's because that's how a sentence goes in Chinese, but if that's the case then they could surely use some creative liberty when translating. If not, then just make the sentences a little less "holding-your-hand" (if that makes sense) because the people reading will understand, and the people skipping dialogue don't care anyway. It really suspends your disbelief, in my experience, when they keep doing this but the plot is supposed to be super sad or serious.
Also, Paimon is very much useless when she says "Paimon doesn't understand" like... You're supposed to be a guide? Most recent example, spoiler for a Fontaine quest, is after your experience with Virgil the scammer, when 2 guys come after him with the pretext of "cleaning the streets", and even though it is quite obvious what they mean, and the traveler tells Paimon it's not what it looks like, Paimon even asking White Glove himself why he has a knife, she's still like "Ummm I don't get it but ok!". Rant over.

Fully agree here. I don't know if they actively choose to write this way or if they don't have the ability to adjust the lines to make it read better in English. Feels like the subtlety got lost along the way.
