Can we talk about how you filmed this in under 15 minutes? (Haha the clock in the background) But really, one of my favorites things about you is you get right to the point, there's no fluff
When I see someone who regularly makes fabulous, helpful, beautiful and informative videos, I feel I need to make a comment and tell them so. Really nice job.
Just a tip that can make things easier for you, the letter “J” is pronounced like the letter “I” in Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. So, Jofrid is pronounced“Iofrid” and Fjell is pronounced “Fiell” 😉. Just replace the sound of the English J for I in all Swedish words and you are good to go, no one will notice you are not Scandinavian. 😉
@@lyndahuggus4880 yes, Y maybe. You must be right. English is not my first language and I don’t really know it all. Y in Scandinavian languages has a sound a little bit longer than I. 😉
Your pronounciations are some of the best on youtube. Sorry, us Swedes are annoying! Those blankets and rugs are being discontinued here in Sweden right now, so might want to hurry up and get them if you're interested in case it's the same wherever you live :)
Hey, Nick! I'm new to your channel; landed here a few days ago and I'm kinda binge watching to get caught up. I've sampled a good few of the designer RUclipsrs, and you're on my short list of favorites, for what that's worth. I moved into my new home six months ago, and I'm enjoying the process of putting it all together with a lot of old and a little new. I have a design background, which helps, but I love seeing new ideas. You have a great way of presenting yourself and your insights, with respect and humor. My routine the last few days is to get my coffee and sit down with a couple of your videos. Thank you for sharing your talent. Wishing you continued success! I'll be around to watch your channel grow!
Thank you so much that means so much! Honestly sometimes I do get imposter syndrome and I let myself wonder if I have a place here on youtube. I definitely don't feel like I have all the answers, but I try to bring a unique angle that I think some people will enjoy. Comments like this help me remember that!
@@Nick_Lewis Then I'm very glad I opted to comment! And that is a first for me on design videos! Seriously, you are so real and comfortable to be around, so keep just doing you. Stay well!
You are doing a great job Nick. I love that you don't ramble on or act ridiculous but professional and fun. It's also nice to get your opinion and honesty on each subject. My only frustration is when captions and pictures are flashed on so quickly and I need to keep going back to catch them. My style aligns with your channel so its always exciting when you post something new.
I really liked how you put a thumbnail recap of each product you reviewed at the end of the video. (Cuz I was already thinking what was the first one again?)😆 thanks. Great video.
Oh! HerMAN Miller! And not Henry Miller, which I thought I'd read at first. As I Dane I totally forgive your foreign pronunciation and I thank you for teaching me how to pronounce 'linen' correctly.
Thank you for being so specific. I've been trying to find videos about lighting and they're all really general and give general tips but when I see specific items and how they would look in my living room that helps so much more
I found the bamboo doors last year and was so happy! And still am! They are gorgeous and you can turn the bamboo around and choose if you want them to be in a darker or brigter colour. One of the best finds ever at IKEA.
I would love to hear your opinions on the best way to style your home with pets. I want a nice home with nice furnishings that can withstand my cats. Thanks!
I would love to have that rug...or any rug but cat puke. Decorating around animals sucks and I challenge the designers out there to come up with product and décor that will withstand them.
I just subscribed to your channel. I am in the middle of updating my house right now. I'm not following all your advice :-). I am legally blind and will continue to lose my site. So while I can still see color I am going crazy on the colors in my house. Every room is a nice rich color. But that's OK, it's my house and I'm the only one that has to like it. My house was built in 1900 and some of the great details are gone because of some idiots that worked on it before so I am trying to bring some of those back.
I love the bamboo sliding doors for the PAX wardrobe, but my main problem is that they unfortunately only come in the 92 7/8" height, which is even taller than the ceilings in my bedroom 😭
I'm not a big IKEA shopper, but I do agree with your decor advice. I love neutrals, it will never go out of style, nature gives us a hint, take it. SO glad that gray decor has finally gone, I hated it, so depressing and gloomy. Thanks for your videos, love them. Also I have always been a fan of disfused lighting, those naked light bulbs are awful, who needs it.
