With the Olympics not that far away the video of the passing of the Olympic torch papers turned out very well. Finally when both trains are gone there will be working room again in town. Watching them leave town and knowing there is bad track ahead is reminiscnt of the C&NW Branch Lanes in South Dakota that were referred to as land barges

That is what is known as a pneumatic dry bulker. That one is equiped as a VAC unit for loading off of railcars that carry dry products such as, plastic powder/pellets,sugar,flour or starch. Once loaded the unit goes to the customer and off loads using pressure put on the tank by a blower unit mounted on the truck. I've operated a unit like that for many years.

Soon it will be time for the Olympics so the passing of the Baton papers was timely and turned out very well. Knowing the amount of bad track ahead its speed is reminiscent of the C&NW Branch lines in South Dakota where this train would be referred to as a land barge. When those trains are gone Crivitz will once again have working room in the yard
