I wish my dad was alive to see this. He died on February 23, 2021 and he was a 26 year military vet. In a way he did because he is buried at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery which is practically a stones throw from Kennedy Space Center. I live in New Smyrna so I got to watch the launch from our driveway. I get to watch any launch I want! Next launch is tomorrow. It’s amazing watching and hearing the launches!
@@jbebel47 no it doesn’t. Are you familiar with Brevard County and US 1 (US 1 is that long road that goes down to Key West and up through Maine). It he cometary is just south of the Volusia County/ Brevard County line on US1 in Brevard in Mims. It’s on the east side of US and it’s a large military cemetery and it’s very nice. My dad second year anniversary of his passing was on 2/23/23. He served 26 years with 6 years in the Marine Corp and 20 years in the USAF! If you ever have a chance to visit it’s very nice.
@@jbebel47 they have been doing a lot of night launches especially in the middle of the night and they have been scrubbing and changing dates like crazy. A crew was all ready to go and the countdown clock got to 2 minutes and 17 seconds and then they scrubbed it. They have had s many scrubs and time changes. I don’t remember NASA having this many scrubs. I don’t remember the last launch that Space X was able to launch on the original date and time. I wanted to watch the recent launch at the cemetery but they kept scrubbing the launch probably 4 times in a row so I was really disappointed and they finally got it launched but not at 1:37pm so I could be at the cemetery but about 6:15pm when the cemetery is closed. A bit frustrated with Space X because we keep waking up for the launches just to keep getting scrubbed repeatedly
Car alarms to rocket launches are what coughing noises are to classical music 😅
