Aussie here and a bit of a nerd, for a private company to pull this off it should’ve been the talk of the world for weeks
I was there on the beach during the lunch, it was great and very exciting experience, we were 10 kilometers away but we were able to feel the sonic booms and the rocket catch was something out of this world :-)
Same! It was incredible!
Pretty early for lunch at that hour, wasn't it? 😉
@@BrianZier you are right but we were there 5 hours before the flight to get a better parking spot, which is quite important as there are thousands of cars

History in the making! Watching Mechazilla flawlessly catch the Super Heavy booster on its first try is beyond inspiring it's a glimpse into the future of space travel. Each step, from liftoff to splashdown, is a bold leap toward making reusable spaceflight a reality. Hats off to SpaceX for turning dreams into milestones.
I watched this a thousand times yet, it doesn’t even gets old
Damn that's impressive. I've watched this video at least 20 times now and I'm still in awe.
Bring on the future!!! Well done Space X!! 🚀

Wow unseen views that hot staging frame was brilliant!
お疲れさまです。いつもありがとうございます。
I get chills everytime I watch The Catch. The unbridled joy of the SpaceX employees celebrating this monumental engineering feat is truly a beautiful thing to see as well. Elon and his team of tireless workers are true innovators and visionaries. Congratulations to the SpaceX team. I look forward to the Mars landing.
Так держать команда SpaceX, я в вас верил в день пуска, вы делаете нас ближе к космосу!
upward facing cam during hot staging!! That was insane
Exactly, and the landing burn from Ship, love that they save some of those great shots for these releases
They just keep putting more and more cameras on these things and I'm 100% here for it
THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN in my entire life 😮😮😮 thank you @SpaceX! 🙏 👏 💪
You are 2 years old maybe, this is just a rocket boy. 😂
@arielmorandy8189 "just a rocket"...not THE ROCKET? 🤔😊 I am probably more enthusiastic than you...and i'm 44 😁

This is what America should be about. Thank you, Elon. No more war economy, be the country that creates and explores. Make America Great Again and you'll make the world great.

This is inspiration at the highest level. Congratulations to everyone at SpaceX!!

@fireX30 no we are like 0.7

A milestone in human engineering
Can't wait for flight 6!
No matter how often I watch footage of the Starship, it always gives me goosebumps. Incredible work by everyone, keep writing history SpaceX. Godspeed Starship.
Credit to the video production team, they're super effective at what they do
Every single time I watch the chopsticks catch the booster it just looks so nonsensical, but it really happened.
My grandpa was injured working on the launch pads for the Saturn-V pads during the Apollo years. He was so proud of the space program and that’s where my love of Space came from. I wish he was here to see this with me.

0:40 HOW IS THIS SHOT POSSIBLE D:
EDIT: for the ppl in the comments who say just hit record on a camera, u try filming a sunset while ALSO filming a 9meter wide fire inferno. goodluck with the exposure
Insane innit? Reminds me of the saturn V shot
umm... you just wait for the rocket to start, point the camera at the rocket, and click record when its about to launch ???
you put a camera somewhere and hit record

@@zemie908 yes and then the shot os uper ultra mega overexposed maybe? yet you can still see the sunset?!?!?!?! camera's dont do that unless its classic film?! wtf. stupid.

Only in America do people come up with stupid ideas like, "Hey guys, lets go fly and land a mid-rise building!" and then actually fuking DO IT!

thanks to spaceX for keeping this official youtube channel alive and well
What time to be alive.
Now this is a hype reel! Congratulations to the SpaceX team on successfully completing these incredible ‘impossible’ milestones!
3:15 did the ship fully submerge here?
No, it was floating for around 3 seconds before it either blew up by tipping over or it blew up from setting of the flight termination system to sink it, as to not violate ITAR regulations by having rocket parts floating in the ocean.
@@archierush868 The FTS, IIRC, is disarmed after SECO
It is designed to become a submarine when it goes to the water moon of Europa.
Im wondering that too.. is this from underwater? We know it landed and floated but is it upside down here?? Audio might suggest that
@@KamalaChameleon WAI is thinking it is.
But given how "reliable" they are, this probably means it was floating.
(I still think it fully submerged, with the header tanks breaking and blowing the top half of the ship)
Clearly the best RUclips video clip of 2024!
