    Crazy stuff. Looked like a sunrise for a solid 20 seconds there. Too bad we had fog over in Sarasota County this morning. Definitely would have seen it otherwise.

    Until you actually see and feel the launch, you don't realize how deep the sky is. It's one of the few ways that can give you perspective of what you are looking at anytime you look up at the sky. Absolutely perfect view with the moon in the frame.

    If it was making car alarms go off at that distance from the pad can you imagine how many went off at Kennedy space center? Especially around the vehicle Assembly building and launch control? I hope someone sent out a memo that this could happen

      All the closeup shots of the engines, etc from like Everyday Astronaut are cool but I love wide shots like this that really capture the scale of what's going on, and what it would be like to be a person spectating at the event.

    I was fortunate enough to watch a shuttle night launch from Titusville 1996.
    I remember thinking one could read a newspaper from this distance, 11 miles, as they're so bright..

    Nice! It was visible from Fort Lauderdale all the way to the horizon.
    I've seen a lot of launches from here but never saw the sky glow orange all the way from here.

    First 30 seconds looks like an atomic blast! Love the sound, and how after a couple of minutes it seems to travel horizontally from the POV of camera even getting lower than the moon! Nice job guys!

    My mom and I watched it just on the other side of the bridge at Veterans Memorial Park. Hearing the crowd cheering as the sky lit up was amazing.

    The sight reminds me of the scene in Empire Of The Sun, when the bomb falls on Hiroshima and Jim, interned in a camp near Shanghai, sees a bright light rise on the horizon. This is fun to watch even which when you scrub with your finger to move the rocket dot! I envy my sibling who got to watch this live.

      Yes. It’ll be the loudest rocket ever built. I think the new rocket Elon is working on could be louder but I’m not sure it will be when nasa rolls out the heavier version with bigger engines

      @@Porsche4life Super Heavy will probably be louder, 33 raptors-already a very punchy engine that has only got louder since the last suborbital test flight-is just a stupid amount of energy. That being said, SLS is up there for sure, those SRB’s are like bass-cannons from what I’ve read, Saturn V only clears it because it’s engines were 5 of those at once. This is gonna be one loud decade for aerospace thats for sure.
