Very useful. Any idea why ours beeps every time we go over a speed bump or a pothole? No symbols pop up so we have no idea what it's trying to tell us! N&Nx
Just as a matter of interest I have a Astex 2 sat nav like you have. You were given a Astex 3 but would you have bought one if you had not been given one. Is it a good update.
I thought I said that in the Avtex Tourer 3 video I'm not sure I would have gone out and bought a Tourer 3 if I already had the Tourer 2, but having tried the Tourer 3, it is much quicker and has some useful features we would probably miss now.
Well done Bob a very interesting and thorough video the new Ducato is quite different from the ones I used to drive quite a few similarities with stellantis passenger cars now in terms of the functionality best wishes to you Jenny poppy and Tara Daniel
Thank you Bob for this video. How is the footwell heating on the Series 9? I have a Series 8 and as many others have found, passenger is overcooked and driver is frozen. I have made some modifications but its not good. Interested to know if anything has improved.
I've not noticed that issue. It's a big van and I use the en-route heating on the winter. Must admit that with our recent Alde heating failure I had to turn the cab heater up to 26 degrees on the way back from Yorkshire.
very useful - thanks - will look out for the further ones - confused by the door lock button, ours seems to operate automatically shortly after pulling away, but when parked up, and inside with engine off doesn't seem to work when tried which is precisely when we want it to work ... either its just a FIAT feature for their commercial vans or I've missed something
The digital version is a lot different and better than the analog version. Love the map in the centre which is just like our car. Trip B can be set up to only reset after a number of hours I think mine is now set to 6. I think I found it in one of the setting menu. It was annoying me that it reset every time the ignition was switched off.
@ on my 2023 using the left control press up or down to find VEHICLE SETUP (option 5) click ok. Click on display. Down to RESET TRIP B and click then select what you want NEVER, ALWAYS, EVERY 2 HOURS OR EVERY 8 HOURS which is my setting.
Love the digital illuminated dash on the new 2024 model...the old Fiat ducato dash is very hard to see...I've heard nothing but complaints about them..

Thanks Bob, very helpful and informative 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Our 2022 Kon Tiki 894 dash and satnav is exactly the same Bob. Think 2022 was the year it came with full digital dash etc. 👍🏼
It looks like it changed for the 2025 models.
@@BobEarnshawMoHoours is the same as your 2024 model
You are my go to when I need to learn things - my husband touches nothing as if all the buttons might be ejector seat switches😂
Lol, I never found the ejector seat button.
Hi Bob, very informative video, I think you have a few more buttons than we have on our van, really enjoyed x Julie and Tony x
Thank you. Always detailed and thorough.
My pleasure!
Thank you Bob.
You're welcome
Informative & interesting. Thank-you.

Not the sat nav warning you about 20mph limit?
@@BobEarnshawMoHo nope, def happens going over a bump! Most odd!
@grapesodatravels A loose sensor somewhere then.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo we'll look into it. Thanks! N&Nx
That could be the area view if the front radar has detected an obstacle

Excellent video Bob and a very useful topic - looking forward to the next two videos in the series
Many thanks!

Yes it has become more car like in terms of the instrumentation.
Now I know, thanks Bob

There's an option to lock the doors when driving away. I'll be covering that in the next video in this series.

Thanks, must have missed that trip setting?
@ it’s easy to miss
The van is at Todds at the moment, so I can't see that setting. If you can chance please let us know where it is?
@ I’ll check mines not the same as yours but I think that setting will be the same

So much better than the old dashboard.
Most people will have the simpler, basic dashboard which I find easier to read while driving. Sometimes less is more!
I do prefer the new one because you choose what you want to see. The map view is very useful.
Now I know, thanks Bob
