you did it!! love this for you and helpful video!!
Thank you!!!
Currently binge-watching your channel as a freshman in college for visual communication. I was starting to feel that the college route might've not been for me but your channel gave me hope again as an aspiring Graphic Designer. Thank You for uploading !!
Yay!!! What college program are you in?
@@MariahPerry Kent State currently fighting for my life lol
You got this!
Call sucks work on your talent and your portfolio
So happy to see this! I’m graduating in May this year and I’m looking for a job to be a graphic designer.
you can do it!
I graduated in English and art and honestly thinking about going back for graphic design I know it’ll be more debt but I feel like I need a change and looking at the work you’ve done inspires me.
Thank you! So glad I can inspire you. Maybe look into self-teaching. RUclips and certifications can go a long way (before accumulating debt) 🥰
@@MariahPerryplease tell me the names of those certifications!
Someone please help 🤝
Very nice to see you, your just a wonderful person...Man! Question? Have you finished your contract and if not how soon will you be done. So glad for your getting it all done and on your way. Parents should be proud, I am. ✌🏾🙏🏾💯🌹❣️
Aw thanks! I ETS this year 🤩
Congratulations beautiful!
Thank you so much 😀
I didn’t hear anything about salary. It's in the title. I wanted to know because when i look at like indeed ect thry all act like graphic designers dont make anything and im interested in the field (career change). But thanks for sharing what you did and any light you can shine in that subject would be most appreciated.
Hey Mariah! Thanks for the video. The cover letter is the main thing that has me stumped and I really need help. I don't know how to be concise yet impactful. Would you mind sharing yours? If not, no worries.
Hi Nicole! Sure - send me an email!
Can you please show us the cover letter you used & mentioned at 6:20?
Thank you for this, I was giving up hope due to the requirements in fear of failure. I am graduating in December 2023 with Bachelors's in Art and Visual Tech/ Graphic design, and applied to a couple and got denied, and stopped for a bit.
You got this!!!!!!
Hi there! This video is super helpful and thank you again for it. My question is what would be another route to do if I never did any internships (graduated last year) and still so lost. (Hope it’s not only me 😅)
Although you have graduated, there are still internships available for post graduates! I interned for ESPN for a second time after graduating college while I searched for my full-time job. Just read the internship/job requirements. It'll tell you if you can intern post-grad.
As a rising sophomore who goes to school in Columbia and just switched to GD this video inspired me
🥳🥳🥳🥳
Congratulations
Thanks!
Do you recommend learning on my own or apply to a college/course?
*i have no background in graphic design but it attracts me because i looked for something that i can express my creativity.
Hey, I’m currently a rising senior on a full ride, pursuing a studio art degree, but I am scared SHITLESS for life after college 😭. I’ve been feeling like I have no clue on what I’m going to do with this degree considering I like to dibble and dabble in different things and also thought about graphic design….any advice???
Relax, it's not like you're gonna marry your direction. You can always change it
Quiet storm! 😊
Literally haha
Hi Mariah. Thank you for the video. I just graduated from college. Would you share the experience of how you found your first volunteer job when you had no work experience yet?
Hi Inna! Congratulations. I never really volunteered. My first internship in my field was with ESPN. But before that, I would do designs in my free time or for my friends.
@@MariahPerry Hi Mariah, thank you for answering!
I just watched your video it was very informative. I'll be graduating next year and preparing myself to get a job since i can't find a single one which isn't asking for 3 years experience. I have 0 work experience and I'm planning to apply for internships and after watching your video i am definitely applying to them. However im afraid i didn't hear about your salary? As a beginner how much did you earn? xx
Just work hard and you can do it! I will not be disclosing my salary. That is personal information.
Nice Video
Thank you!
I dropped out of college because how expensive it was getting and the major i was going for did not work out for me. I am planning on becoming a graphic designer? Will a strong portfolio work while being self-taught?
A strong portfolio would be helpful! Also networking.
Congratulations!
Can you please share what degree you have? BFA or BA?
Thank you! BA in Visual Communications
My sister graduated with degree graphic design with bachelors five years ago and she still trying to get a job. She has 3 internships no full-time job. Any help what can she do?
She could become a freelance graphic designer.
I’m starting to go back to school and I’m so lost on what to do to get into this field
What are some questions you’d like me to answer in a video?
You not in the USAR anymore??
