I am loving the Blue Hour shot, something almost spiritual about it, but you cant ignore the sky of the Sunset, beautiful images Gavin, well done ... again
Sunset is my first pick. Loved the birds in blue hour, and the colors of pre sunset. Thanks for sharing your parents with us. They are a hoot and good sports and interesting to see your gene pool. Clearly, you are your mother’s son. Ha ha… maybe your dad doesn’t have to ‘own’ you. Really enjoyed this.
While Sunset seems the obvious choice, for me the Blue Hour shot really gives me the tingle. I love how bleak and moody it is, and the birds just really seal it for me. My 2p.
I recognise every single outdoor scene in this video.. From the fun little road you were going down before the village with the stunning bridge and river scene (not shown) to the sea arch. Pure Class. Love shooting the area your in. You deffinately caught the light that catches my eye so often in your pre and sunset shots. I like both equally though I think I would go for the pre-sunset if pushed to go for 1.. Though that could change with mood. Watching the weather come in across the hills and forelands, South of where you are is one of my faveorite things. Each peninsula has it's own similar but unique and breathtaking views. Just around the corner from the sea arch your at is a perfect high ground and interesting ruins, rocks, walls, lake, hills, cliffs, waterfalls, forrests, beaches, bogs and estuaries.. so class The community centre by the pub has some pretty decent shots from local photographers too in the cafe. There are also pre-historic sites and aparently an old mine near the sea arch that I've yet to explore. Just wish I had the time to stop and wait for ideal conditions more.. Or had a tri-pod😅
The side light of pre-sunset is sublime, and dare I say, Adam Gibbs worthy? The moodiness (with the addition of the birds) of the blue hour shot is so special, it could have come out of Thomas Heaton's camera. With that said, for me, the one that edges out the other two is a combination of soft light, with a dash of colour. Clarence Von Ponce will be proud to call that Sunset shot his, which is as high an honor anyone of us could ask for. Thus, the clear winner.
The pre sunset shot has that magical warm light; the multicolor sky demands attention in the sunset shot and the blue hour shot is moody and atmospheric. I like them all for their own merits and if it were me, I would use them all to demonstrate how the same scene can evoke very different feelings depending on the light.
In tears watching your pops trying to put his seat belt on. Comedy gold 😂 Lines like ‘where is this car made’ & ‘L Bracket?’…. Love it Blue hour shot too 👌🏻
Great video, I love the humour you put in Gavin... for me the shot was the Sunset... right balance of colour and shutter speed just made it pop for me.
Great stuff Gavin, nice to have you over in this neck of the woods. You should come back in winter, that's when we get our best sunsets. Surprised Darryl didn't tell you that
I’m gonna go with “Sunset”. Love the sky and the action in the waves. It reminds me of another photo I’ve seen in a book I own “Chasing s’mores with Roy Hardcastle”
Blue hour, the serenity of the scene and cool colors set it off. The addition of the birds makes it all the better. This should be a great image for Quiet Light II I think. :-)
The calmness from the "monotone" colours and the mood of the «Blue Hour» shot is just missing a tad lighter highlights here and there in the whiter parts of the waves and it would be a slam dunk winner - for me. Now it's a split between that one and «Sunset».
As much as I'm a sucker for sunsets, and I think this one would look beautiful printed big and framed, the blue hour one is what would keep me coming back to look at all the details
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant👍👍🤣🤣I'd be very happy with any of the photos, and I'd include all three as it shows the reader the same scene under different lighting conditions.
Tough choice between pre sunset and sunset but if I have to pic just one I'd probably pic sunset. Great location which made for awesome pics. As always though great laughs in this one.
Brilliant Images I hope you enjoyed your workshop with Darren ! (thankfully he,s abetter photographer than actor 😀😀) I loved the Blue hour shot with the birds adding that little extra ingredient. Give my love to your mam and dad. !!!! Id love to see then in Hardcastle towers !!
Hi elaine. I will be in Irlande soon and if you don't mind my asking what's the name of that place or how to get it ? Any further information would be helpful, Thanks.
I like each of them because the light is unique and beautiful in the individual images. It would be fun to see a book with sets of three like this from a variety of locations.
I would suggest that you and your dad do a competition you using an old twin reflex, him using a DLSR but I don't know who that would be cruellest to - your dad explaining to you how to use the old camera - then that'll be you. You explaining to your dad how to use a DLSR - that's probably going to be you as well. DO IT. That first pre-sunset photo of the stack was gorgeous. Definitely the winner in my eyes.
Blue Hour Ol Gavin just because it’s how I imagine it to be over there with overcast and mystic mountain castles . The other shots are 100% as well but blue hour has a feel to it to me . Keep on smiling and glad to see beautiful Amanda is wearing proper footwear ! Scotty - Kansas City
All 3 shots are great, the 2 best ones imo are sunset and blue hour. Very hard to choose one! I would go with the blue hour shot, epic light and it's away from the obvious choice of sunset.
They are all great but definitely SUNSET, beautiful colour, wave action, and I like that the water is flowing over the large rock out front…..not only does that add to the image but it also hides the yucky barnacles. 😊 I always enjoy your video posts.
Hi Gavin: It was so nice to see the happy expressions on your face as you were capturing some amazing images. All three images are spectacular but my favourite one is the "Sunset" Shot. Keep well. . . Keith Pinn (Barrie, Ontario)
Oh my gosh, that has to be one of the best seascape areas I've seen for awhile. Beautiful photos Gavin and I can't make up my mind which i like the best. Maybe the blue hour just by a smidgen.

Blue hour for the win
I am loving the Blue Hour shot, something almost spiritual about it, but you cant ignore the sky of the Sunset, beautiful images Gavin, well done ... again

Blue hour. The birds complete the scene.
Blue hour is the most dramatic one. The others are nice, but the Blue Hour one gives me the most emotion.
Roy is just delightful! Don’t know why but he just makes me laugh!!! Missed him a lot!
Are you going to marry this one aswell?
Wish I'd said that!
Maybe he’s just curious.😂😂
😂
That was my question too!..😂❤
I dashed into the comments to say that. Imagine my distress when I found out you'd beaten me to it. 😂
Sunset is the pick of the bunch for me...!! What did Daryl think lol..!!
Definitely blue hour for me. Love the birds in it too.
Blue hour is superb but the sunset shot is phenomenal.
Blue Hour, but I love the sunset one, too
I like the mood of the blue hour photo.
blue hour. love the cold moody feel it has.
I like blue hour with the birds in the background.
I recognise every single outdoor scene in this video.. From the fun little road you were going down before the village with the stunning bridge and river scene (not shown) to the sea arch. Pure Class.

I'll have to check all that out when I go back.
Blue hour is my favourite but they are all stunning.
Gotta say, I love that pre-sunset shot. It’s almost as if you can feel the warm rays slapping you right in the face.
The side light of pre-sunset is sublime, and dare I say, Adam Gibbs worthy?

Always good fun with the parents. Love the seatbelts!
In tears watching your pops trying to put his seat belt on. Comedy gold 😂
Lines like ‘where is this car made’ & ‘L Bracket?’…. Love it
Blue hour shot too 👌🏻
I definitely prefer the Pre-Sunset shot. love the light!
Blue hour - the dynamic range is just that bit better with deeper blacks
All three shots are 💥♥️. Sunset 👍👍👍
You and your stalkers... 🤣 My favorite was the blue hour shot. But that's just me. Thanks for the video!! Cheers to David for being a good sport 😉
Great video, I love the humour you put in Gavin... for me the shot was the Sunset... right balance of colour and shutter speed just made it pop for me.
Blue hour shot is most magnifique!
Great stuff Gavin, nice to have you over in this neck of the woods. You should come back in winter, that's when we get our best sunsets. Surprised Darryl didn't tell you that
All 3 shots are fantastic. Although I prefer the blue hour, the mood is sensational and all the birds in the picture add an element o scale.
my choice is blue hour ,i like the formation of the rocks in the forground all exellent images.
The world needs more Roy! Much more knowledgeable and interesting…Does Roy have his own RUclips channel? Asking for a friend.
Pre-sunset has so much life definitely my favourite.
There's something otherworldly about the blue hour shot that really sets it apart from the other two. All great though!
Sunset for me. I like the colour and the composition with no birds to distract you. The waves create some lovely veils and swirls.
The calmness from the "monotone" colours and the mood of the «Blue Hour» shot is just missing a tad lighter highlights here and there in the whiter parts of the waves and it would be a slam dunk winner - for me. Now it's a split between that one and «Sunset».
I really liked the colours in the Sunset shot but, the atmosphere in the Blue Hour told a better story overall
Roy is a bloody gem!,,should have his own RUclips channel…😂❤
As much as I'm a sucker for sunsets, and I think this one would look beautiful printed big and framed, the blue hour one is what would keep me coming back to look at all the details
Agreed. Gerrin touch.
Sunset is my favorite. Another great video.
How do you get everyone to act so well for your videos? Incredibly entertaining
Acting?
@@fototripper Lol, Nevermind. Ill just watch and enjoy.
That first seascape was juice factor 11 !! 👏
The sunset version is the best !
I'm glad I don't need to make that decision. My vote would be the blue hour shot.
Blue hour.. The birds take the image to the next level.
Blue Hour for sure.
I love the moodiness of the blue hour one.
I think Sunset and blue hour.personally I would publish the blue hour . One of your finest EVER!!!!!!
The blue hour shot is absolutely stunning 👌
Sunset for me Thomas….I mean Adam…..sorry I mean Gavin, fab vid and location 🫶
I like the presunset and how it captures the waves.
Sunset one. And Roy and Darren were brilliant. So funny the pair of them.
I like them all, yet Pre-Sunset is stunning.
All are impressive, but blue hour is the best for me 😍
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant👍👍🤣🤣I'd be very happy with any of the photos, and I'd include all three as it shows the reader the same scene under different lighting conditions.
Tough choice between pre sunset and sunset but if I have to pic just one I'd probably pic sunset. Great location which made for awesome pics. As always though great laughs in this one.
I love sunset and blue hour shots the most. Sunset has the colour, but the blue hour had more drama plus the birds too
Brilliant Images I hope you enjoyed your workshop with Darren ! (thankfully he,s abetter photographer than actor 😀😀) I loved the Blue hour shot with the birds adding that little extra ingredient. Give my love to your mam and dad. !!!! Id love to see then in Hardcastle towers !!
Pre-Sunset, as I am really a warm light person, but the Sunset light almost changes my mind!
Blue Hour is the shot.
you Nailed it Adam.
That blue hour shot is amazing, that one has my vote!
Sunset: the sky and water show motion with just enough colour to call it magnifiquay-tresmendous. Well done, Roy!
Love the light on pre sunset, but blue hour is nice as well
Oh wow, great shot. Have been to this location myself and know how difficult it is to get down to shore line. Love the pre-sunset
Hi elaine. I will be in Irlande soon and if you don't mind my asking what's the name of that place or how to get it ? Any further information would be helpful, Thanks.
Jaw-dropping gorgeous!!!! Pre-sunset is my favorite 😍 ❤️
All 3 pictures are great but sunset is my favorite as I just love the color in the clouds as well as the softness of the waves!
I prever the 'BLUE HOUR' but all three are great images, well done, you nailed it🍀 Gavin.
Blue hour is really amazing… very cinematic atmosphere.
I like each of them because the light is unique and beautiful in the individual images. It would be fun to see a book with sets of three like this from a variety of locations.
Your Mum and Roy are absolute stars. Roy certainly knows his cameras! Sunset shot for me.
Blue Hour Shot. Very moody and ethereal:)). All are exceptional bro 😎
All three images are great and show different 'moods'. My favourite is the pre-sunset.
The blue hour, especially because of the birds, (New sub here!)
I love the blue hour shot its sensational
blue hour, love the birds in the shot, adds to the drama
That was funny AF 😅 the 3rd one is the best
I would suggest that you and your dad do a competition you using an old twin reflex, him using a DLSR but I don't know who that would be cruellest to - your dad explaining to you how to use the old camera - then that'll be you. Definitely 'Sunset' for the book! All three images are wonderful, but Sunset has the edge in my opinion.
Brilliant content and humour, thank you. Blue hour.
I liked all three but if I had to choose I would go for the Blue Hour. For me it had more atmosphere and the birds added something extra to the scene.
All 3 shots are great, the 2 best ones imo are sunset and blue hour. Very hard to choose one! I would go with the blue hour shot, epic light and it's away from the obvious choice of sunset.
Sunset. I am a sucker for those soft pink clouds
They are all great but definitely SUNSET, beautiful colour, wave action, and I like that the water is flowing over the large rock out front…..not only does that add to the image but it also hides the yucky barnacles. 😊
I always enjoy your video posts.
This video is so funny love it .
Sunset definitely.
Hi Gavin: It was so nice to see the happy expressions on your face as you were capturing some amazing images. All three images are spectacular but my favourite one is the "Sunset" Shot. Keep well. . . Keith Pinn (Barrie, Ontario)
Oh the sunset and blue hour shots are just stunning. I think the sunset one just edges it.
So comical. You four are enjoyable. Do it again.
I liked the pre sunset one best
I prefer the 3rd shot. Definitely a lot more dramatic. First two are good, but the the contrast sells the 3rd.
Sunset is the one. great image.
Oh my gosh, that has to be one of the best seascape areas I've seen for awhile. Beautiful photos Gavin and I can't make up my mind which i like the best. Maybe the blue hour just by a smidgen.
Sunset is my favourite but I do love the birds in the Blue Hour shot.
Pre sunset. Sunset and sunrise shots are over done and that light was extraordinary.
Tough call, they're all lovely, I love the blue hour shot but I think the sunset shot just edges it for me.
Like them all, but Sunset is my favorite.
Sunset and Blue hour both look incredible
