A great storyteller... and a GREAT show. Love that he mentioned Sandra Gould, who was probably best recognized as the second actress to play "Mrs. Kravitz" on Bewitched.
You’re too harsh about these television shows from the 50s. You can enjoy the other characters and the actors and actresses who played them without howling with laughter. They are gentle comedies and of course Eve Arden elevates it but to see Nancy Kulp at this stage of her career, this was wonderful. She is as distinctive as Eve Arden especially with her voice.
Always loved Eve Arden, great with the snappy comebacks/sarcasm.
Loved this show. Wish it were shown today

That’s Nancy Kulp that was on Beverly Hillbillies
Love love love EVE ARDEN, even in these silly episodes. She transcends. Sometimes they are amusing. Without her, i wouldn't even glance at them.

Miss Jane , and our Miss Brooks .
And Mr. Mooney, from many Lucille Ball shows.
This is driving me crazy...the actress playing Mrs. Conklin, I know I have seen her in later 1960s TV shows but forget her name.
Virginia Gordon

Ahh the voice
Miss Brooks meets Miss Jane Hathaway.
She played that type of role alot. Until she got permanent work on Beverly Hillbillies. And then Congress. Quite accomplished.
she ran for Congress, but didn't win. Buddy Ebsen sabotaged her run.
