    Since LAFC have now played their first regular season game, I think I can confidently say that Philly has the best chance of making a deep CCL run this year.
    LAFC still has a solid chance, don't get me wrong, but they came dangerously close to blowing a 3-goal lead in their second half against the Timbers. That kind of performance isn't what you want to bring against Alajuelense.
    But as long as one MLS team makes it to the finals, I'll be happy.

    • @SoundsideSherry
      @SoundsideSherry Год назад

      @@edsal5528 That's a good question! I didn't watch that game live, I just finished combing the highlights. And from that, I think it says more about Miami improving than it does Philly declining. Taylor's off-the-bench goal was phenomenal, and Callender made some critical saves.
      Definitely not the result Philly fans would have liked, but they also had a dominant 4-1 win over Columbus in week 1, so I wouldn't worry about them *too* much.

      @@SoundsideSherry Philly had multiple opportunities to score, Miami just had two absolutely fantastic golazos to seal the deal. We didn't convert on the chances we had. For the second game of the season though I'm not super worried. I agree with your assessment of LAFC, though. No Gareth Bale this year to "Bale" you out (pun intended lol). I'm not really informed about this competition right now because where I live there isn't much info about CONCACAF in general
    But if there isn't, they should add a Group Stage for more clubs to get in the tournament and as a result make it more competitive

    Bro as a Jamaican that lives on the island this format of the CCL is very stupid and catered to usa and Mexico and to a lesser extent canada to be successful. Think they should implement the euafa champions league format with early qualification rounds where smaller clubs frm smaller countries can compete to try get into the CCL group stages and having the winners qualify automatically and having 3rd place teams frm each group drop to the CONCACAF leave and re instating the CONCACAF league tournament and implement the europa league format. I think the concacaf league was more competitive than CCL based on if big teams are their smaller teams will upset them and it was to me in my eyes a more levelled playing field, frm Canada down to French Guyana we watch “real champions league” and were accustomed to that format and every confederation uses that format and it’s always entreating while the CCL is just a dick measuring contest with the us and mexico 🤦🏽‍♂️. Us and Mexico gets 5 or 6 spots while everyone else gets 1 or and the Cfu that has the most representation gets 1 spot how fair is that ???

      @@edsal5528 lets be honest they are 20 plus counties in the Caribbean why would you send 1 team to rep everybody ? if the tables were reversed mister american would you have 7 Mexican teams 5 canadian teams and american team representing a country thats basically a continent no matter if the teams are second divison in your words all should be given a fair chance teams frm the maltese league irland and lesser league in europe all play a qualifying round higher the league coifcent the later the buy in a team get foe example celtic gets a buy in at the 2nd or third round of qualifying if they win their league and if they win the 3rd round they go into the group stage. thats fair enough cause teams that come 4th in England play in the play offs providing a team frm England doesn't win the champions league then 5th plays champions league qualifying round. that to me is a fair enough format and level playing ground, i remember real madrid play apoel frm cyprus in the quaters 11/12 champions league and the went through the qualifying stagesand the folling season celtic that went through the qualifing rounds beat barca 6 - 2 in scotland. so just becsuse "its a second divison dosent mean good teams arnt here harbour view portmore uninted cavaliers mount plesant arnett gardens and a lesser extent dunbeholden thats just jamaica alone plus the teams frm the dominican republic haiti are good competitive leagues. idk if you are american but did you knw that under the diffrent name of thistournament caribbean teams have won this competion beat teams frm central american in the process?? sv robinhood frm surinam (even thouth thats not caribbean) and trinidad defence have won it twice and thats when football was fully amature in the Caribbean
