The solos on this album are dope. Shortest Straw is honestly my favorite because of the harmonics and the whammy stuff. I can't hate Kirk. He's still the GOAT. James solo on TLITD is also one of my favorites. All of his solos in the discography stood out, especially the one he did on Orion--it's my favorite on the whole album.
If you mean the solo before the bass solo, then that was still Kirk's. The master of puppet booklet lists the second solo as being played by Hetfield, but it also listed Cliffs solo as the fourth. The second solo refers to the harmony section.
You reminded me that my favourite AJFA solo is James's. So fucking tasteful and perfect for the mood of the song. That said, the reason i fell in love with this album was all Kirk! Stunning job you've done here!
Always really liked the 'Blackened' solo, though all his leads on this album were really good. I used to love Metallica in the mid 80's early 90's and looked forward to hearing what Kirk would do solo-wise. Lost interest a very long time ago, but still love RTL, MoP & AJFA . You did a damn good job! 🔥
Thanks RiffMajestic. I totally agree. Metallica was as perfect as a band could ever get in the 80's. The 90's really messed with a lot of 80's metal bands and Metallica unfortunately succumbed to the pressures of staying popular. I think the Black album still holds up as a great record but I lost them when they cut their hair and put on the eye liner.
Sometimes easy to forget why people at one point thought Kirk was the hottest thing around, but listening to the leads on this album and the Unforgiven solo reminds me why.
@@jimiwolfsolos3119 Some solos by Gary Moore from his hard rock era, like "I can't wait until tomorrow" or "Cold Hearted" would be great. There are not good videos like yours about the great Gary.
Nice, Gary's great. I covered "Still Got the Blues" last month but I can definitely put Cold Hearted and I Can't Wait Until Tomorrow on the list as well
Best Kirk album performance!
I like Kill Em All the best for guitar solos but I would put this album a close second
Justice and Ride The Lightning
@@allanwallace1719 Kirk was basically on fire since 83 to 91
After that he just stopped writing awesome solos

This!!! Justice will and always will be my favourite metal album

Fantastic Man ! Kirk was still inspired on Justice...

Spot on. AJFA was the closest Hammet ever got to being a guitar superhero.
Kirk is literally the coolest guitarist ever😎
Shortest straw totally rocked. Nice one.
Correction, 7:20 is still "To Live is to Die"
Sometimes easy to forget why people at one point thought Kirk was the hottest thing around, but listening to the leads on this album and the Unforgiven solo reminds me why.
Yup, his solos were amazing and better than any of the damn haters could come up with
Amazing job!!!
Great sound dude.
Great. Your channel is fantastic.
Thank you, any requests?

EFFing WOW!
Muy bueno, en ese disco hay muchos solos buenos
Todo el disco es una obra maestra
Gee, great stuff.
Damn 🔥
This is great. Gonna do the same for the Master of Puppets album?
That's a great idea Ryan. I've done six solos for that album already so I'm getting close
really well done. Awesome!
Thanks for the visit
Great job
Could you do Europe - Out of this World this way?
I sense a distinct lack of Mustaine fanboys in this comment section...so refreshing.
damn
The Prince?😭
hahaha, such a good tune, maybe on a another video
@@jimiwolfsolos3119I think he expected it to be on the video, because both Prince and Breadfan were two covers Metallica did on the Justice Album
6:26 - To Live is To Die... That's Hetfield, not Hammett.
It definitely sounds like Kirk to me. Live footage always shows Kirk soloing in this section too
@@jimiwolfsolos3119, You're correct on the live performance, but Hetfield recorded both solos.
If you have any links that show evidence James record both solos let me know.
James played the second solo
First is Kirk
