I’m feeling anxious just by thinking of this. I use to block my expressions and emotions when I was a child because of many traumas. I struggle so much with this but I’d love to improve.
I agree! I used interpersonal skills and the '48 laws of power' to climb up the ladder in no time at my last job. The HR lady let me get away with everything because she loved me! I became a very popular person there in practically every department. This stuff work! People will like you and want you to like them.
Verbal communication is my problem sometime how to express myself becomes a problem. Not that I don't have something to say of I do but everything shut down in my head not knowing where to start from.
This is the most fucked problem.when you really want to say something in a crowd, but you dont do it , because you know that you will struggle for words in the middle of the conversation and make yourself awkward . I can feel you bud
I've been having a hard time with some of my gifriends. Through the pandemic I have realized how dysfunctional they all are. So shallow..so when I spoke up. It was interesting to witness that they were pretty unavailable for the talk which was a huge insight of where they truly are. I feel resentment with them right now. It has helped me to see that I also need to work on managing how I ask for my needs and have assertiveness.
I have been criticized for my interpersonal skills in the workplace. But I'm an introvert and I only like to chat when I feel I have something relevant to talk about (mainly work related). I don't particularly enjoy small talk for no reason.
Honestly I believe that’s a good thing tho but i think interpersonal skills are more about the other people in the and how you impact there experience at least for me ill say
