From a design standpoint, Tropical Resort Act 1 is such an amazing first level. It's designed in such a way that it manages to teach the player all the basic mechanics (jumping, boosting, grinding, etc.) while still remaining fun when the player goes back to replay it. Not to mention once you unlock the color powers, whole sections of the level you previously couldn't reach get opened up. Such a great way to start a game!
Sonic Colors was made because they can't port Generation to Wii, Similar to they made Sonic and the secret rings because they can't port Sonic 06 to Wii
I know I'm late to the party, but there is no way they could port Sonic Generations to the Wii. The Wii isn't nearly as powerful as the PS3 or Xbox 360. Generations was built with the two way more powerful consoles in mind so even with a graphics downgrade I don't know if it could even fit on the Wii's much more limited hardware. They'd probably have to go the Unleashed route and remake the whole Generations game with different smaller stage builds and possibly cut content just to be able to fit in the Wii.
@@TheDen-ec9xe Sonic Unleashed is by far my favourite Boost Formula game due to the fact that its levels are longer and more challenging, also because it's the last Sonic game to _feel_ like a Sonic that takes chances. My problems with it however are that some hazards can be placed in such ways so that you can't see them until _after_ you hit them, and as much fun as I think it is, Sonic the WereHog definitely breaks the pace by a LOT. The Medal requirements are also mean. :( The story's okay though and the presentation is *f a b u l o u s* Sonic Colors fixes the difficulty issue and the pacing issue, but creates a new problem in its wake. The game ends up being way more generic than Unleashed is frustrating. The 2D segments have less slopes or opportunities to gain speed than even the slowest levels in Sonic 1, which is surprising seeing I prefer Sonic 1 & CD to Sonic 2 despite that being the faster game. I feel the worst offenders are Starlight Carnival Zone & Aquarium Park Zone, SCZ because all the 3D segments in that stage boil down to slightly slower and longer versions of Forces' Double Boost scenes although ironically enough Act 5 contains the best 3D segment in the game and APZ because if you are underwater without the Yellow Power Sonic moves _soo sssllllooooowwwwww_ and the already blocky level design doesn't help. Also while it does fix the difficulty balancing it goes to the point where the game ends up being too easy. The presentation isn't that much better as the story is one of the least funny storylines in the Sonic franchise. Sonic Generations adresses the issues of both Unleashed and Colors and brings what in my opinion is the best level design in the Boost Formula. Unfortunately spectacular level design is only for a quarter of the game as another gameplay style is introduced in the form of Classic Sonic who isn't even as accurate to Sonic as the Genesis games or Mania. What this game gains in level design it loses in originality or relevance due to the fact that EVERY LEVEL is one in another Sonic game and given Boost2Win Sonic's strength the previously intense moments are less intense because the level's antagonist or obstacle poses little to no threat to Sonic. The presentation is okay but not as good as Colors or Unleashed and the story is basically nonexistant with cutscenes serving as an excuse to even vaguely explain why an level is the way it is or why Sonic needs to go there. I enjoy all three but Unleashed is just better and Forces I'm not gonna bother touching until I get really desperate. And why are you writing this on my video?
@misterizman
It makes sense. lol
@XHolyPuffX lol fail on my part then, Guess the only thing I can do now is go to a ratchet and clank gameplay video with the grind boots and say they stole that from sonic adventures 2 xD

Early birds for the win
To be honest. I almost dont give a shit about graphics on the wii. Either way, sonic games will be (99% of the time) awesome.
