I love that when you get the laser wisp and encounter many robots in a straight line, you get the bowling pins knocked down the aisle, and BAM!

@@NeoTechnomanSince the original Sonic Colours was released in 2010, that means that this year is its 13th anniversary, with its remaster (being released in 2021)-2nd anniversary.
This was the best sonic game I've ever played, so happy to see it being remastered
I’m sure we all are, and even if we’re not, it’s still cool that we get to own it on current consoles, nonetheless. Especially if we’re not able to play it on Dolphin or the actual Wii.

By data mining this game's files, it can be concluded that Colors was gonna follow the two act and a boss structure of Sonic 1, and that the "gimmick" levels (Sprinkler and yellow block levels) were intended as optional content.
To artificially extend the game's runtime, the bonus levels were made mandatory and the main acts were usually (but not always) split into two, the most obvious example is shown at the end of Sweet Mountain Act 1 and in the beginning of Sweet Mountain Act 2, which were intended to be one big act.
Judging that the Rival Rush footage in the recent Colors Ultimate trailer features only the main acts, it's safe to assume that this mode is indeed going to bring these full acts back into light!
Can’t wait to see what else the remaster has in store for us.

This game is so good. I still don't understand what makes this game really bad.
I have never heard people say this game is bad. I’ve heard a few people say it’s mediocre at worst, but most people I’ve seen say it’s a pretty solid game, and it’s my personal favorite Sonic game.

Uhh... so have these people played any Sonic games or are they just saying this for the sake of causing controversy? Seriously, comparing this game to Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom is like comparing Mario Odyssey to Mario 64. It’s not a competition, it’s obvious Odyssey/Colors is leagues and bounds better than most other games in the franchise, especially the aforementioned games.

This may sound a bit weird, but I honestly keep looking at this video as reference for some mod I'm doing involving this stage, usually if I can't access my Wii U or Dolphin

Fun fact, in the wii version while using a nunchuck (as far as I know) you are at a permenant physical disadvantage in act 1, because the turning circle on Drill is extremely wide, meaning doing the two drill sections in that level without taking a hit (which is required for the s rank) is EXTREMELY difficult.
Tell me about it. Here I used a PS4 controller (emulated GC controller) and it was still tough. Also, since Ultimate’s controls are literally handled the same as this version, it was hard there too.

This game still looks and plays better than the remake
For me, Ultimate had a lot of visual glitches. In terms of gameplay mechanics, it felt like it handled exactly the same as this version.
I once tried to get all the red star rings without any guide. Wasn't a good idea

As for your question, you need to increase the internal resolution to 4K in the Dolphin emulator settings. That is, if your PC can handle that.
Ok, thanks. DarkspinesSonic has Dolphin 60 FPS on Sonic Colors, and when he does Drill power, it's not slow and for mine it is. What cables or sources do you need?. How do you connect your PS4 into Wii? Wish it was real....
I guess if your PC has higher specs the game will run smoother. As for the last question, that’s not possible. I just replaced the HUD to show PS4 icons on Dolphin.

This has nothing to do with the Wii console itself. It’s all on your PC. Dolphin is an emulator you can play on your PC.

No one's going to talk about how the low resolution screen hid extremely high quality assets?
The HUD will always be in lower quality since Wii games were meant for 480p. But at least the in-game resolution is good thanks to Dolphin.

Oh you’ll see the Ultimate version on my channel at some point. Just not at the moment since I’m waiting for proper patches for it.
One question for the 60 FPS, what settings do you use for it. Whenever I try the code, it just slows the gameplay down, even the different clock speeds didn’t work for me.
The code should definitely work. There could be other settings that might factor in for that. But no idea what those could be. Either that, or it might be your PC.

At least there’s no motion controls....unless you have to use a Wisp color power.
Can anyone tell me how the ranking system works in colors cause I could never figure it out.
If I wanted to sum it up, I’d say get as many points as you can by defeating enemies, using Wisp powers, getting Red Rings, etc. to get a higher rank. Kinda like older 3D Sonic games, it’s pretty much score-based.
Act 5 changed things up a bit
I feel like the only change was the Jade Wisp. It shifted some red rings around.

Sonic Colours jumping from rails to rails animation was smoother compared to generations

its pretty easy to look up a Sonic Colors Wii ISO file, you just need to know what you're looking for

agreed. But I think it deserved more ports. It was locked on the wii and really not a lot of people could play it.I just think the original should have been improved a BIT. Along with adding some new music here and there. And the jade ghost could stay in. But I agree.

Because you’re looking at a Dolphin emulator in 4K resolution. Also, I don’t know if that’s possible, but I _do_ know you can customize Sonic’s costume and boost.

Sorry to burst your bubble buddy, but you unlock Laser in Tropical Resort. Aquarium Park has no unlockable wisps, which was always weird to me

Yes, I’m using mods and texture packs. But this is the Wii version, not Ultimate. This playthrough was uploaded in 2018, the PS4 version didn’t come out until 2021.
