Vito Bratta is such an underrated guitar player. When I was 10 years old (2004), I stumbled upon my dad's White Lion albums and was hooked on his playing. I was born in the wrong era.

But I don't remember you know. How media is but yeah as far as guitar players? We all put that guy up on the Russian war of guitar guitar players. I stole the Rushmore metaphor from somebody sorry. I don't remember who or i'd credit the source.
Vito Bratta was a very melodic player and no matter what he played, and no matter how much he would stretch out on his playing,..He would never abandon the melody.
His phrases are beautiful and expressive. The playing on Pride and Big Game is masterfully crafted.

Great stuff...Vitto was great and the rest of the band also. One of the best bands of the eighties. How a "soft rock band" had such an hard sound and Vitto had a technique...brutal. Good work as always on explaining all the stuff.

Im glad you made this video, who introduced me to Vito was Jon Donais from Shadows Fall, in the mid 2000’s I remember reading an interview that he said, everyone needs to learn Vito licks. So of course I had to check them out when I was young.

That sounded amazing! The older I get and the more I play and fix/build/modify my guitars, the more I realize it has nothing to do with any name on a headstock, but all how it feels and plays in your hands. It's a personal thing.
I always like White Lion, and it's really cool that your paying homage. I feel the same about Warren DiMartini from Ratt........so underrated, but the guy was a walking metronome when you listened to his playing.
