What a criminally underrated guitar player Vito Bratta is. Had he stayed in the game and gotten more recognition he would have been as big as Van Halen or Via.
His techniques and unique solos are unmatched by most past and present guitar players.
If his wrist& hands didn't get fucked up he be better than eddie van Halen!! He didn't want out of the game !!!

Several of his interviews from the early 90s alluded to the fact that he was burnt out and fed up with the music scene. There was a certain innocence about him and I think once he saw the industry for what it was he didn’t want to be a part of it.
His father‘s illness and his supposed hand injury are valid reasons no doubt, but outside of him saying he had an injury I haven’t seen any other proof. Not to mention he had plenty of opportunity before all that to make something happen and didn’t.
Tramp and plenty of others have practically begged him to do a reunion over the past 30 years and the only person preventing that from happening is Vito.
He is not underrated at all! But it’s pretty sad that he just left like that and never coming back.

Yes, Vito is a great guitarplayer. But can we also notice that Mike Tramp was one of the best Hair Metal Singer amongst Jon Bon Jovi and Sebastian Bach back in the days?! In the 80's he had the perfect voice for this Kind of Style 🤘
Because of where Mike is from, his accent makes his vocals unique. One of the best of his era.
And he beat them all live, hands down

The year this album came out I wore out the cassette in my walkman. I took it everywhere. Burned through enough batteries to power a Tesla for 1000 mile trip! Such a great album. And this time is my favorite.

Vito hasn’t played since the early to mid 90s. And in his last interview (which he rarely gives) he stated it won’t be happening. Due to family issues and a wrist injury, amongst other things. Mike tramp has attempted to get white lion back together with the likes of Warren DeMartini,etc but no one wanted to do ( or could do Vito).
Out of all the bands of the 80s that have capitalized on reunion tours this one would be epic if it ever happened..

In a time when hair bands were a dime a dozen White Lion stands out to this day as one of the best imo
They may not have survived in the business as long as some of their peers with no farewell tours or reunion tours but you can’t have a discussion about the genre and not mention them.

Vito is amazing guitarist and songwriter, very similar to EVH in that he has a unique, instantly recognizable musical voice.
This version is on their greatest hits if anybody wants to grab it!

I saw them once , Nov 1989 with Skid Row and Motley Crue Birmingham NEC UK. It was brilliant. I was a massive Vito fan wrote his name on my school bag with Randy Rhoads ;)

You can really tell Vito was influenced by Van Halen in this tune. This is NO way a detraction from Vito ( and yes I like Van Halen ) BUT from my perspective Vito is a player ALL his own...and as a player myself , I honestly think Vito has more melodic feel and his array of tools and sounds are a teensie superior to Edward's. Had White Lion had more years to play , I think Vito's name would be right up there with the top 1% of melodic rock players ever.

Power ballads were never my cup of tea back in the 80's....and White Lion seemed to specialize in that genre. But....they did have a great guitarist.

Vitto had the most melodic and tasteful solos I've ever heard. Just jaw dropping beautiful, and technically tight as hell. What a genius.
Such an understanding of peicing together melodies and notes that melt together gorgeously...what an artist. Surprisingly, alot of geniuses sometime shy away from the spotlight...he deserves this recognition.
The solo of "wait" is pure genius... The lady of the valley is phenomenal. Little fighter is awesome too. But I've never heard a more beautiful song than "When the children cry."

Admittedly I’m not usually a fan of the way Mike sings his songs live….it seems he often tends to blurt the lyrics out and rush through them. But here he actually sings them melodically, in the style it was recorded.
It's because it's the remix they used on their Greatest hits album... you can find the "real" version on RUclips... it's not that clear... but still love them live anyway :)
This song is just jammed full of guitar. I mean there are literally four distinct guitar solos in this. Just an epic hard rock anthem !!!!!!!
