Who's here for Vito?
I'm definitely here for Mr. Bratta. 🤘🎸
Me. ... Love Mr Bratta .XDDD
The only reason to listen to this band imo, without Vito they'd be nothing
@@lrn_news9171 Agreed. Vito is the foundation and everything that embodies White Lion. 🤘🎸
No am here for white lion
Vito Bratta is one of the greatest guitarist's I've ever heard, I'm 52 years old listening to Metal/Rock since 7 years old.
Underrated along with Warren Demartini
@@erikolsen1333 Yes good call.. Warren wrote one of the best 1980's riffs ever in "Lay it Down".
@@erikolsen1333 Warren is definitely a monster on the fiddle
Indeed. His harmonic work and unorthodox mode patterns are simply incredible.
And Jake E Lee
Vito freaking rocks. Even in a concert, they sound great
Vitto had the most melodic and tasteful solos I've ever heard. Just jaw dropping beautiful, and technically tight as hell. What a genius.
Such an understanding of peicing together melodies and notes that melt as fluid together gorgeously...what an artist. Surprisingly, alot of geniuses sometime shy away from the spotlight...he deserves this recognition.
The solo of "wait" is pure genius... The lady of the valley is phenomenal. Little fighter is awesome too. But I've never heard a more beautiful song than "When the children cry."
His solos just sing incredibly by themselves but fit in so effortlessly snug into each song. A rare Artist indeed. The real kind...
His rhythm playing was incredible as well
Vito loves his parents.
He cared for them
till they passed.
Vito, the most underrated guitar genius❤ I wish I were good enough to copy his style…
Im 68 playing guitar since 10. Dont get me wrong Eddie was great. But Vito is without a doubt, one of the greatest. Sound, style, all totally amazing.
Agreed. Even vito once said eddie was his major influence. But vito took to another level.
Brothers saw them three times and Vito left me dumbfounded. He was perfect.
@@RS-qo1rb wish he would come back to the scene. I heard his wrist has healed
@@sean8470 me too brother. So great live. Perfect every chord. And lick. 🤟🏻
Vito was the first guitarist I ever saw in concert. White Lion was the opening gig for KISS on their Crazy Nights tour. Vito found his spot on stage, hardly moved but made that Steinberger SCREAM!!!! The old days of leather, spandex and big hair! Those were the days!!!
Vito took the EVH style to the next level, and did so with humility..
TRUE
No one touches EVH
It’s called progression, come on bruh’s… The next generation always builds upon the next. Have you all ever heard Nuno live? Beach? Gilbert? Zach Wydle once said Bratta was thee most melodic guitar player ever. You all gotta get out of the static and myopic.
Vito destroys EVH. Better phrasing, melody and technicalsq
@@stonecold9132 lol Cool story, bro.
White Lion was my favourite band back in the 80's. Pride and then Big Game were an absolute success here in Chihuahua, Mexico back then. Now I'm 49 yrs old and still listen heavy metal. I miss those days when I hung out with friends, drank beer and listened to awesome music like this. Salud from my own corner.
Vito is the best ,I'm melodious guitarist of all times,im 49 still listening his songs
I've been playing guitar over 35 years, and Vito's tabs are hard to duplicate. Just so fast, perfect timing and genius. Amazing, what skill
Vito was an extremely talented guitarist. Like Eddie, he musically carried the band with a combination of perfect rhythm and killer leads.
In the late 80's I was a headbanging thrasher..this man's guitar work was impossible to ignore and had me listening to this band just to hear his guitar solos.
Exactly
I'm 140 and have been listening to Metal/Rock since I left the birth canal and have been playing guitar since I was a zygote and Vito Bratta is the absolute greatest. Somehow perfect solos that you can also hum to. Nobody else does that.
We're all here to admire Vito's genius. He was just mind blowing. So under rated as a writer and guitarist...
I was at the show. I had never heard of them, but a guy from work told me they were great. I keep looking to see if I can locate a 24-year-old me in the crowd.😂 It’s not an accident that the sound is so good. That place always had great sound.
I think that I've loved this song about 15years ago. Finally i bought steinberger guitar GM-2 model (Vitto's main Guitar).
So important video~~ Excellent !!🤩
Yes Lord thank You for letting me be alive and ABLE to have been in my teens and WILD and LOVED every minute of it to those who were there you know it was KICK ASS
Dude.
Goosebumps! Reminds me of puppy love with my HS sweetheart and our days and nights of sneaking around, holding one another, the soft warmth of her kiss and body temperature and her unique smell that I will always have a longing for. 🥺
Vito's solos and melodies are beautiful ...and fit the songs perfectly...and not only beautiful he can also get dark...
Vito Bratta & Criss Oliva (Savatage, r.i.p.) : best hard & heavy guitar players in the 80's!
Love both but I think George Lynch and Warren DeMartini are hard to beat
One of the most underrated guitarists I've ever heard is Doug Aldrich
@@lrn_news9171 How can someone be underrated when they've been a member of one of the most famous bands of all time? Whitesnake? If that's not reaching the top, I don't know what is. Goodness. I'm sure if you asked him, he wouldn't agree with you. I'd love to be underrated like that. LOL
@@petescafidi Because essentially no one knows who the hell he is or even talks about him ever. Everybody talks about Lynch, about Bratta, even Olivia is more popular.
@@lrn_news9171 I hear what you're saying, of course, but he doesn't have a catalog of songs that people know, compared to the other guitarist. He's an amazing hired gun, but unfortunately, that alone isn't going to put anyone into the conversation with Lynch and Bratta. Even Eddie wouldn't be so well known if he didn't have a mountain of popular hits under his belt.
Vito was the BEST!! Every one of his solos were like mini symphonies.....so melodic and sooo much texture with all those nuanced things only guitar players hear! Lol I've been playing for a few decades and his playing will always blow my mind.
It's the sound of a generation. Like the mama's and Pappas of the 60s and , zeppelin of the 70s... the 80s and 90s were so fun.
Lot of comments here about Vito Bratta. I heard this group only now, but must agree with all the comments: he's really awesome.
Does someone watch in 2024 ?
At 2:46 the true mastery begins, absolute guitar genius. One might dare say one of the greatest guitar players ever.
The quality of the recording is incredible. Mixed to perfection. Each member can be clearly heard.
We honestly had no idea the monster band we had at the time.
It was a crowded field but these 4 guys were head and shoulders above.
That's so true man, well said. I loved them when they first came out, huge fan. But as the years have went by, I realize how truly great they were...above the crowded field for sure.
The Amazing Mr. Bratta!
I still Love U Mike Tramp.. OMG! Love the voice💞🎸
The baseline in this is absolutely amazing!
I always amazed hearing Vito playing his guitar
Vito bratta is the guy that inspired me to start playing guitar
Mikes voices was great! V I T O. 🤘🏽
Vito is great, plus Mike was an awesome lead singer!
he gets a lot of hate but he was and still is an awesome front man
the greatest guitarist 🎸 other than EVH
LOVE THIS SONG!!!! Well, all of there’s
if you want a replacement for Eddie Van Halen it's Vito Bratta.
What a beautiful song
5-5-88, man that was about a month before i turned 16. there was a girl i was crazy about back then and for some reason this is the song that always makes me think of her.
Five days before I turned 17. What a time to be a kid right?
Прекрасное видео. Thank U for all
Vito's tone is this live setup...it's like he just plugged his guitar into an ADA and a Marshall and went for it without Delay or Verb. Just imagine if he had his studio efx here, how epic the sound would have been.
I just plug straight into the amp, no special effects, no pedals. That's how I roll.
loved that ADA sound!!
swietny koncert oraz super piosenka oraz wspanialy zespol white lion
Superb guitar vito as always 👌
never got a chance to see vito live, but i was able to see eddie a few times, taken those memories to the grave, RIP Eddie Van Halen.
😲 What A Clean Playing & Sound Recording !! Holly (Lion) 🙏 It's More Better Then Studio Take. Lucky To Find All Those Performance Of '88
/ Feeling Like EIDDAY 💙 ♪ ♫
This is beautiful!
Saw these guys a year later on their World Series of rock tour with Poison. Also included WInger, BUllet boys , and Tesla.
Vaya sonido que tenía esta banda.... auténticos subestimados...
Miss Vito so much :(
Ok
So this is where He really tears it up.. Vito Bratta..
WOW! Just Wow!😀💞🎸
Damn what a band what a voice
Voice?
Yes!!! VOICE! the Great Lead Vocals of MIKE TRAMP here with White Lion live! 👌🏻✔💪
Tye song from this song makes my everyday..💚
AWESOME!!! Great Tune!!! Vito Bratta is one of the best musicians on the planet!!!!!
Take me back to the 80's when you finally appear folks from the stars 👽👽👽👽👽👽👽🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸
My favorite song....lord vito
I was at this plus 10 other NYC show, mostly at Lamour. Envy me.
This Lycries is good, vocal very good but... the Guitar is... White Lion!!! An real Lion!!!
Just a shame that he gave it all up. So talented. Vito and Randy are by far my two favorites. I heard Vito is playing again. Would be great to hear him release something new. Anyone think 80’s hair bands will make a comeback? Music sucks now. There aren’t even solos. But there are a few good guitarist but man so I miss the.days of kick ass 80’s guitarists!!!
Very nice..
Hell yeah I love this fuckin kickass band...
My Favorite Band White Lion
Damn that was a great performance. White Lions should've been huge like the other 80 hair bands. Vito Bratta was a legit guitarist just like Eddie
We will always love u Vito even though you left the biz never to be musically heard from again 🤘
Vitto was phenomenal but some comments say he was at another level than EVH. Eddie was and always will be the standard. Simply the best.
When I first heard "Wait" on the radio in '88, Vito replaced Eddie as my favorite guitarist. And Eddie was pretty much the ONLY player I cared to listen to. Yeah there were other that I liked. Like Night Ranger, Dokken, Ratt and I admit I got into Randy Rhoads after the Tribute album was released. But Eddie was my favorite and nobody else really impressed me as much. Until I heard Vito.
No Vai, Satriani? They r impressive players aren't they?
@@kurtsicily Yeah they are. I bought Surfing With The Alien and Passion and Warfare. I even bought Yngwie's first 3 albums before growing tired of his speed playing. It just all sounded the same after awhile. But Vito just checked all the right boxes for me.
Randy and Vito are my two favorites. There’s something about their playing that you feel in your chest. Their solos are just so much more creative that all the other guys. Eddie was great too but damn do I love listening and playing Randy and Vito’s licks
Amazing
Dam ,, Vito mike and the boys wer bad ass !!
Great rockers
4:20
Yesssss!!!!!
I thought I was alone with the “whoa what a lick”
Best sound,melody
Seen them open for AC/DC in the 80s. good times.
Those Strat head ESPs Vito played.........I'm drooling. What I would do to have one of my own.
Severisimos expontes
Definitely relate xx
ROAR White Lion ROAR
I love Vito’s guitar playing, it’s a shame he gave it all up after White Lion broke up.
Vito and Johnny Marr two of the best from the 8o's
Vito - the love child of Eddie Van Halen and Richie Blackmore.....
Cinco de Mayo? Thursday, May 5th, 1988?
Must have been an amazing 18th birthday!
Remember the song when working in the 📻 my first time turbulencia del metal
I was there, they opened for acdc
É incrível como o vito brinca com a guitarra
I came to see Vito but the whole band sounded great
They second band open up for the Crue. Skid row was first . The whole concert was great on outside London
Vito uses ESP strat guitar great sound.
And starting in NYC
Very tight band. 👍
Vitto Bratta..my god guitar
I thought white lion was horrible after seeing this concert but I saw them with Cinderella and Mike voice sounded a lot better he started taking lesson and cut down the partying he wasn’t out of breath like he is in this show
Hate when singers half ass songs live. I have this dvd and instantly hated it. LOVE VITO HES SPOT ON!
Yes 2023❤❤❤
My daughter just turned 17 she said he better be glad I wasn't there
Vito is Eddie with his own style. Him, WVH, Nuno, Jake, Warren and the extremely underrated Harry Cody are the Closest things to Eddie. I forgot Vai, Lynch and, Reb Beach.
warren's work on Way Cool Jr. was incredible always wished satriani, De Martini, and Bratta for a G3 tour man the people would pay cash
Not unlike Brian May, Vito's tone has just enough distortion that you can still hear all the harmonies in his chords. It's glassy, not muddy. I wish I knew what amps he's using
Not necessarily the amplifiers more in the fingers 😎
@@jeffwarner2266 true that, but tell that to a sports arena. May uses 9 vox AC-30s, I'm guessing Vito used a Marshall, being of the 80s, but it sounds like some sort of tube pre-amps as well.
ADA preamps and power amps into marshall cabinets most likely-
White Lion was too talented to be an 80's hair metal band.
Mike tramp had such an awesome voice! Too bad it sounds like vince niel taught him how to use it 😆
oh god he's horribly flat every line he sings, even on albums. The girls liked him, but he's hell on the ears
@@b.scottfarthingsworth he's probably the least talented frontman of every hair metal band from that era that hit big
