exactly, you can't expect to just do really well with white and take draws with black when your competing against the goat, u have to be aggressive in every game and play on an absolute whole other level just to stay competitive
Hikaru only won 2 less games. Magnus won 13 to Hikarus 11 games. Additionally, Hikaru had 8 draws, 4 with the white pieces and 4 with the black. Lastly, 6 of his 11 wins were with the black pieces so I'm not sure your take on his strategy is very sound.

And Hikaru played it safe and blew it, just like the Candidates.

There's a pretty clear negative correlation between age and cognition. Chess is no different. You will get slower, and your brain will wear down. Although genetics is a large factor

There's a lot of online chess community to play with. You can start as a beginner and earn and improve your chess rating. You don't have to compare yourself to Magnus right away-even for us (at least casuals) who has been playing for years, that's overwhelming 😂. Perhaps you can check post-analysis to slowly understand the dynamics as the game progresses-learn beyond the moves.

Everyone talking about Magnus (understandably, he won), but I'm just looking at how annoyed Nodirbek is with himself after that game - he doesn't look at almost at all except for a moment to see what Magnus was moving his arms about for; even when offering the handshake he was staring at the pieces or when leaving the table.
It's almost 2023 and they are still playing with manual clocking. By now they should have sensors in the board that detect each movement, so when a player leaves his piece the clock starts ticking for the opponent. On second hand (no pun intended) I find the constant smashing of the clock pad quite entertaining, I'm just surprised they haven't made the game more efficient. After all it's not that complicated to make it automated.

It's legal bro if you're adjusting the piece. I also like to adjust my pieces so that every piece is straight and centered. (Kind of like OCD) It's only illegal when you move the piece and take your hand off it and then attempt to move another piece
At 1:44 ff Carlsen touches a pawn while it is his turn and moves then his fingers back. The rule however says "If touched - then moved!" Or is that obsolete in the meantime?
When Magnus picks up a taken piece and fiddles with it in his fingers you know he's going "beast mode" which is when you know you're probably finished.
You're correct, good catch. You're also beautiful. This may help: "A player claiming a touch-move violation must do so before themselves touching a piece." It's probably an unwritten rule that top ranked players don't really nitpick over small mistakes like this.

that's how blitz works, it's a 3+2 Game (3 Minutes in total + 2 Second increment for a Move)

You're correct, good catch. You're also beautiful. This may help: "A player claiming a touch-move violation must do so before themselves touching a piece." It's probably an unwritten rule that top ranked players don't really nitpick over small mistakes like this.
