I love the vibe here. Project car star and of the show gets stolen.. were going to keep building this Camero... Trans went out....we took it out... again... Door panel 6 times and not throwing tools. These dudes are so chill and driven.
Once again your NOT afraid to show your human and you make mistakes, just love the Camaro, will be waiting with baited breath for sick week, love it normally but with you guys in it will be WAY BETTER.. keep up the great work. Eddie, Sydney 4200,er...
I absolutely love these 4200s man, it’s all the stuff I love about the 2jz but it’s bigger, American, and its got a meatier deeper tone to it than the 2jz, it sounds so good 🤤
You have a great dad! You are fortunate to be able to "play" together. Enjoy him while you can and no you should not be embarrassed when he is just having fun. Most time you seem so serious. I can relate to that.
Phew! If a hydraulic pump had that much play it wouldn't be able to lift a leg to fart properly! Maybe you could lap down that case for a backup pump in the trailer? Nice find that will save some freaking headaches, for sure!!
You're going to need to pull the servo out and weld to the part that contacts the band in order to add length. You'll have to grind it down so that it resembles the way it looked factory. I JUST had this issue with my TH400. There are many videos that show how to determine needed length using a dial indicator. I can never get a repeatable number so I just added .100" to mine and I could probably add just a touch more, but I now have reverse and it doesn't roll with the tbrake engaged. They used to sell a handful of differing lengths and the manuals will show you how to identify them but welding works just fine.
Good luck at Sick Week! You're fortunate to have "Cheap labor" to guid and support you! He made me laugh at the end of the video. I hope to run into you guys at a D&D one of these days! I'll be cheering you on from my garage! Lets Go!
Those pro tunner 750’s are a hog of a fuel pump… just got myself one for the first time. Using it to fuel my 565, 8-71 1,000 hp big block with my own efi system. On E-85… 👍🏻
I really like what you're doing with the Vortec inline 6, I have been silently lurking in the background. Really miss the Volvo, as I am sure you do as well. Keep the faith, and motivation, and always remember to step back, and bounce ideas, and issues off of someone you trust.
5 gen camaro's have a "memory system" pursay for the window function that makes them go up and down, when the door opens or shuts. There is a relearn process for this you'd have to look up. I've had this issue with a few camaro's and mustang's.
Crackin me up, you guys are great, i love when you hold the camera up, showing dad in the background, while you talk and raise your eyebrows and your eyes get big😃😂🤣🤣😆 good shit Calvin, glad your spirits are still in good terms seeing all youve been through, head up guys. love the channel. keep em coming
I'm a GM guy through and through. Their interiors, and most importantly doors, door hardware and door operation ABSOLUTELY have sucked ass for DECADES! THEY ARE THE WORST.
Suggestion on windows with the drop feature to program hold power window button in up position and keep applying pressure to button for 5 seconds then go down and hold button down for approximately 5 seconds and try it. May have up and down buttons reversed but that's how mustangs with same feature work. Hope it helps
You guys are awesome! My Father was a straight 6 dude back in the 60s. He doesn't get out in shop anymore but I still love his stories. His entire demeanor changes if anyone talks about Drag racing. Thanks and I've sent him your RUclips info so he can watch.
Absolute General motors power window crap. My 2002 Z28 had the motor go bad at 71k on the driver's side and not much longer for the passenger side(120k) and my wife's 5th gens passenger window refuses to do the auto let down and up to clear the trim and it only has 140k on it at 14 years old. We've tried resetting it but no dice. You'd think a car company thats been making power windows an option since 1947 would have their shit together by now lmao
They can figure it out they just choose not to in order to cut costs and save money which is exactly why it fails. And that is exactly how they keep you in that vicious loop of buying shit because that’s what makes them money lol
Maybe someone changed the switch or regulator/motor on the Camaro. Maybe needs to be programmed or relearn. I'll check on Monday at work at the dealership.. if you need any info at all let me know I will help. Thanks for the videos.
11:34 with the music, i was laughing so hard, man I've been there. Wrenching on cars and such can really test all spectrums of emotion. Total defeat to overjoyed all in one day lol. I may not always admit but I love it.
I had that exact same issue on my 2010 SS. Ended up replacing the entire site wiring harness (which was discontinued in 2016 or so) and that didn't really fix it. Took it to a dealership and they replaced the windows motor, regulator, and module which fixed it. Turns out some of the wires that connect at the door can be broken from stress and age. If one of those parts go bad it kills the entire door.
Put a seat belt strap on the window, with snaps in the open and closed positions, just like they did on the 68 race Hemi Dart's and Barracuda's. IDK just my thought.
Glad to see You & Your Fab hacking through the hassles of running racecars. Just never forget that if it weren't for the bad times, We could never enjoy the good! Can't wait to see how it pans out for Y'all.
My Spool filter did the same thing. Only, the glue from the filter seized an injector and melted a piston. Stick to quality filters and change them often!
I had one do that. Ran a spare pair of leads off motor and when it was acting up a milwaukee m12 would put it up. This is also how I put my window up and down on my k5
The overrun clutches should be applied to take a load off of that sprag. With an oem VB you would only beat on it in manual 3rd to activate the overruns. I use the sonnax overrun clutch valve kit that engages the overruns in any gear selection. Not sure how that is working on the EA VB i would have to look into the fluid circuitry.
@@Calvin-Nelson I build these. I am no pro by any means but I got one in a turbo suburban in the 11s and my personal rcsb 4wd Silverado is 4700lbs and been 10.4@135 on Michelins with them so I can make one work 🤣
I can't believe Chevy missed the opportunity to build and sell these. It makes too much sense and is a brilliant concept. I think the public would've bought these like crazy

Have you guys considered using a belt driven pump? Over the years I've always suffered fuel delivery issues on ethanol in high power cars with electric pumps. Switched to a 6gpm belt drive mounted up front and pulling all the way from the rear tank and never had fuel delivery issues again. When serious electric pumps run over $1k, and have such a limited warranty and generate so much heat, I don't know why more people aren't using mechanical setups.
Yeah. We actually have a whole setup. They're hard to keep primed without relocating to the back or having an electric priming pump. That's my only resistance. Also, they tend to flow lots of fuel which makes it hot at idle when you are trying to street drive.
@@Calvin-Nelson I've managed ok, but I've only gotten into it on blowthrough setups where you have a fuel reserve in the bowls. That's why I've never experienced the priming issues I think. Also only needing a low amount of pressure, I feel like the pump doesn't have to work over such a large range. -12 feed and -10 return with pump up front. Carb and lines keep all that fuel suspended right above the hot engine though, which is a serious downfall, and Lord help me if I ingest a mosquito and it gets lodged in an air bleed haha.

Gonna be fun to watch the surprise on other peoples faces at Sick Week, when they see how fast that Camaro is, "For a little six cylinder,.." :)
Back in the day we used old seatbelts you pull the window up and click the buckle the old adjustable works the best like middle seatbelt
Well at least the Camaro and its engine bay look great! Testament to the engine that it's eating transmissions haha

One of our favorite races each year.
Yeah. Wish we could be there.
I hope the turbo on the Camaro doesn't melt the hood lifting strut. That would be inconvenient.
It will be fine. Lots of airflow through there.
