Oh wow.I've never seen that done before.That is amazing.Always did my bangs that way but never thought to cut the backs like this before.I've made wigs worn them then threw them away after messing up the back eventually by chopping length wrong.This has changed my life.Thank you so much for posting this.
I like Ms. Patti. She is more my age and her tips are wonderful. I just received a wig that is about 6 inches too long. I was able to use her technique and it made my wig look perfect.

Hi Patty. I love all your videos. You have taught me so much! I have a Scarlett wig and a couple other longer, beachy wave, wigs. But I don't look cute, like you do, in that length. I would like to see if cutting them would help me. Can you make a tutorial on how to shorten the length of a Scarlett or beachy wave wig? I love the way you cut your Julianne where it is a bit shorter in the back and longer on the sides. Do you cut it the same as the straight wig above? Just comb those curls and hold down tight, then twist and then cut straight? Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
Thank you Nola for the kind words. Cutting the curls is a bit more tedious and hard to demonstrate. We do have this on our list of video requests if we can come up with an easy way of showing what to do. Thank you for your continued support!
if you don't like longer on the sides and shorter in the back how would you cut it? I really can't stand styles that are shorter in the back than the sides. I won't even consider buying them so how can I cut so it is gradually longer in the back? I kind of like the v shape

You need to make sure that you have it on the mannequin head evenly. Use the ear tabs to make sure they are on the exact same spot on either side of the mannequin head. You may also want to use a measuring take for this. We always list measurements on our mannequin heads that we use in the office as this helps us to know where the hair is going to fall.

Will this technique also work on wigs with big bouncy waves and curls?? I have a 26" that's just too long for me

Every time I cut the length and then put it on my head it's uneven. How do I prevent this
You need to make sure that you have it on the mannequin head evenly. Use the ear tabs to make sure they are on the exact same spot on either side of the mannequin head. You may also want to use a measuring take for this. We always list measurements on our mannequin heads that we use in the office as this helps us to know where the hair is going to fall.
