I reached Thailand by road from India. I crossed the border in a local bus from Laos. But one thing that surprised me the most was that I was asked to pay bribe at the immigration to get out of Laos. Next trip to Brunei....
Airasia has flights to Laos and its not very expensive. One can come by train to Vientiane .From Bangkok there is a night train to Nongkhai and its connected to Vietiane by a shuttle train. Vientiane a town with lot of french flavour and most streets have french names. It has many attractions to see. My daughter who is a dancer has come to Laos and almost two months after I came for performing her bharathanatyam dance organised by Indian Embassy. What I meant to say is Laos is a coutry not totally strange to India.
