I knew you would love this duet of two of the finest female voices in modern history. I also felt that you would enjoy the chemistry between the two of them. Streisand has been Celine's idol her whole life so this was a dream come true for her.
When I first heard this song in 1997, I couldn’t distinguish who was who. Their voices blended so perfectly, and it was so similar.
They are amazing. Barbra is the pioneer for voices like Celine and Whitney. There are a couple more you should check out. Chaka Khan can raise the roof. She sings one with Peter Cetera called FEELS LIKE HEAVEN, It's crazy!
So incredible!!! We are beyond lucky to have Celine!! She is a gift and not just her miraculous voice but for who she is and what she stands for!!!!

I remember when this came out there was so much anticipation for this collab. Listen to Streisand and Bocelli - amazing and Streisand was 72 when they recorded it.

Enjoyed your reaction. Two powerhouse voices. I wonder if you could check out a couple of other great singers Lara Fabian and Linda Eder. Linda can hold a note longer than anyone and Lara sings with tremendous emotion.

The bridge is amazing! Personally it's my favourite female duet ever. I remember when I first listened to this. I had such a hard time working out who was singing which bit. Normally I can easily recognise both their voices, but it took a second listen to figure it out LOL

Loved your reaction to this classic, once in a lifetime duet. This song was written as a conversation between a mother and her daughter. David Foster, who had produced both artists during their careers, wrote the song specifically for Celine to perform with Barbra as it was a lifelong dream of her's to sing with her idol, so David made it happen. The song was actually written by David, his then wife Linda Thompson (Elvis' one-time girlfriend), and Celine. Since there's a 26-year difference between the two ladies (Celine was 29, Barbra 55), the lyrics were perfect.
You're right... songs like this... and duets like this are very rare and will be timeless.
Sweet reaction to two of the most beautiful voices of my lifetime. I still rank Karen as my personal favorite but there’s no denying the power and majesty of these two. The duet is magical. I’m still on a mission to introduce you to an equal voice of the current generation. (YES I said equal) I have her most recent recording in a collaboration with Dan Wesley a singer/producer from the UK. She is from Minneapolis, so technology let this happen. But technology doesn’t mess with her vocals. There is no pitch correction, you are hearing her voice. And with her brand new microphone, a Neumann U-87, it’s even more pure. Trivia, Jarry, who do you know, that also used the U-87 back in the day?
The song is the Perry Como classic; It’s Impossible. She is 20 yo Tori Holub (Ha Lubb) and you will not be disappointed, I promise. I know what you like and you need to discover this voice. And yes, nice to see you back on the Tube!
