I remember when Celine's first English song "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" was released. I was 15 and in 10th grade. I had to pretend I didn't like it because guys didn't like stuff like that. But in the car, I was in love with that voice! She is a one in a billion talent, once in a lifetime.
I had to watch this documentary in three segments. I couldn't take it all in one sitting. It was that powerful and affected me profoundly! Her grace, humility and love for her fans are as amazing as her voice! I pray for her every day.

Celine Dion is part of my formation at 37 years old. Her legendary music in Titanic to all the hits throughout the years... she rightly deserves her success. As a chronic Lyme patient, I understand what Celine means about people not believing or not understanding the illness because it’s on the inside and they can’t see it. as well as you may have moments of feeling better, but then symptoms flare, and your back to being immobile or fully functional.
The same is true with what chronic Lyme patients deal with, with the public, with family and friends, and also with mainstream medical people.

I'm so glad that she finally got a correct diagnosis after nearly 15 years of suffering. It's maddening with a rare invisible disability because each wrong one you've been given is a treatment tried and failed, followed by frustration and confusion. It makes you feel grateful when the medical condition goes into remission and you have your health. You learn over the years what triggers you need to avoid a flare up and over time the periods between remissions decrease.
I haven't watched the documentary but I also suffer from a rare nerve disorder so I can understand what she's going through. I also was misdiagnosed for 12 years by doctors.
I did just see her perform at the Opening Ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics and she knocked it out of the park. I'm so happy for Celine that she was able to return to the "stage" (Eiffel Tower). Thank you for covering Celine's story. ❤

Celine is an exceptional artist with a remarkable voice that has retained its quality over the years, a feat not many of her peers have achieved. Her talent as a singer and writer is matched only by her dedication and work ethic, which is evident in her documentaries and numerous videos. It's deeply saddening to see life take away something so vital to her, something that means the world to her. Life's unpredictability and unfairness become painfully clear in her situation. Despite all the success and wealth, watching her documentary reveals that money isn’t everything. When a cherished gift, one you’ve nurtured and taken for granted, is taken away, it can feel like the worst kind of loss, perhaps even like death itself. The sadness in her eyes and the brokenness she is experiencing are heart-wrenching. She has all the resources for treatment and care, but the gradual loss of her talent and passion is devastating to witness, especially for her as she lives through it!

Imagine being a singer, this must be horrible. And the voice is only one part of the whole thing. I have an autoimmune condition myself, my body is my enemy but its also all i have and i try to be kind to it. Its good to see how she shows all the hard stuff she is dealing with so that people can learn.

I’m very grateful to have seen these fragments of this documentary…it’s fitting all pieces together for the pain that has been growing slowly throughout the years since I was 43….no doctor that knows what I have and I learned to accept and live in silence with this because I don’t want to complain and I am a fighter that doesn’t want to give in. It started out in my legs and it spreads slowly…the last five years I’ve been experiencing this thing in my chest she’s talking about that you can breathe but it feels like you’re chest isn’t big enough and the feeling as if you’ve got the flu but no fever is indeed something that comes along with it. These videos I’ve seen in the past few days whilst I was going through an episode made the pieces fit together and now I know that I will go to a neurological doctor to check if this is indeed the case. I’m just telling you this now because here no one knows who I am anyway (I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me) and to thank you for sharing this on your channel, it spreads awareness to those who have been coping with this without knowing what they actually have. Thanks 🙏🏻

I had five discs fused in my neck. It feels like I have a pair of vice grips clamped on my spine. Yet people look in my face and tell me I am lying. The pain I am in never stops. I would not wish this on anyone. But God bless Celine. I pray blessings upon her. May she find peace and use her struggle to bless others. Like I did. I am glad this happened to me. Its extreamly touching when she described her sorrow of that she can't do what she loves the most. What she says besides her children is the meaning of her life...:
People paid a lot of money around the world to come and see our shows. I am an apple tree. People stand in line, and I give them apples. Only the best, and I rub until they shine. And they all leave with a basket of apples. My leaves are starting to darken and the branches are falling. They begin to bend, and the tree produces fewer apples. But there are still as many people in the queue... It pains me that now I have no more apples to give...

Raises the question of whether there are people out there suffering without knowing what's going on. Hopefully, the movie will be informative, as well as raising money for research.

It's heartwarming, but heartwrenching, and had to watch it in many spurts. I have fibromyalgia, which was very hard to adjust to. I can totally relate to her suffering. God blessed her all her life. Now he's chosen her to showcase this rare orphan disease, so strides can be made to treat it properly. Orphan diseases get no funding and attention. We never knew about it, until someone as famous as Celine went public w/ it. Now all those people suffering in silence get a voice too, and hope for much better treatment.

You went very deep based off of her statement that "you can't see it" But she meant that it literally isn't visible on tests and scans. She wasn't saying that other people can't see that she's sick. She was saying that the doctors can't see anything wrong. Half of this documentary was filmed before she even had a diagnosis.

Don’t people realize how cruel this thinking is and how much more pain it causes? I’m sorry your health issues are so callously dismissed by unthinking(unfeeling) people when it’s support, understanding, and love that you need (and deserve)most!❤️❤️

I watched the documentary too & if I'm honest I couldn't think of anythingelse after that, it was quite horrifying. You wouldn't wish that on anybody. Maybe it's the Universes way of saying come on Celine you've laid your groundwork & to find a new path, a new purpose, she's very down to Earth & approachable I have a similar sense of humour, she's very quirky. A lovely lady. Whatever happens whether she sings or not again, she will still be much loved & respected by people. I wish her well & that she can heal.
Rosalie, you had some beautiful things to say, I think you have a kind, caring heart & being empathic also opens you up to feeling other people's energy & in various degrees. One thing it does do is make you a really great friend & listener.

Thanks for this video! The documentary was filmed in 2021/2022. Celine’s been working hard to rehabilitate her voice, mental, and physical strength. Here she is this year sounding like her beautiful self:

I imagine Michael J. Fox felt similar. Though they both have diseases that get worse and worse, there is one major difference. While Cline's could not be seen, Michael's could not be hidden. But both were career enders.

1 of million is mention becoz she received the diagnose only late in 2022, she had cancel many show befor that without being able to explain why. She did suffer a lot of not being able to explain it to the fan along of all the anxiety that goes with not knowing. She is doing much better now, she gave couple long entreview for the releas of the documentery, you should watch it ;-)

In regards to mentioning the rarity of the condition, how much research and funding go to diseases and conditions that most of us are unaware of? Either in the doc or an interview it was stated you never want to be a rarity in medicine. I believe she has donated a large sum towards research and the awareness the doc will bring will help others with the condition.

Mushroomhead came out with 2 new songs. One is called “Fall in Line” and the other is called “Prepackaged”.
Then the band As I Lay Dying has also 2 new songs. The first one is “Burden” and the other one is “The Cave We Fear to Enter.” Plus check out some of these songs out by Imminence. Some songs like “Continuum”, “Chasing Shadows”, “Alleviate”, “Heaven Shall Burn”, “The Sickness”, “Paralyzed”, “Heaven in Hiding”, and “Ghost”. These bands are amazing. By chance, you have done any of these videos or bands before then I apologize.

Your commentary is great, but the Watch Mojo commentary really did an awful job summarizing the documentary. They took some liberties and mislead on a couple of things. I think it would have been a lot better to hear your review of watching the documentary itself. I do realize it’s a longer time commitment, but it really is worth it. It’s a phenomenally made documentary.

The detail about having breakfast before she discovered her symptoms was not “extra“ to me at all. I think people were interested in hearing that. It’s like when people talk about “where were you when you heard Michael Jackson died?“ Is the same thing like “what were you doing or where were you when you first got your symptoms?“ People ask that all the time they just wanna know what the person went through and how they experienced it.

    • @Rosannasfriend
      @Rosannasfriend 3 месяца назад

When she goes into how the voice works afterwards, that may be interesting to sing her like yourself, but I do think that that one was extra, lol. But like you said she’s wanting to go over her experiences and what she remembers feeling and thinking at the time. Because that’s how it impacted her at the time and I’m sure she has flashes of those moments in her head over and over and over. So she has to talk about them.

That’s a fair point. I meant more so as in those details matter, whereas some people may dismiss it.
When we listen to people, there’s something special about paying attention to those little details that made a moment important to a person. It’s not a sidenote, or extra unnecessary information, but an important part of her experience.

Celine Dion is over stressed she can take it but here body sayes no ,and stops all cells not only Celine but even me or you if we get in that shape where we get more stress than food we ara going to feel the same.Thats why Celine needs to listen here body and the body will tell whats wrong , its same when you eat yoa askes your stomach not other people what to eat. So i think its time for Celine to do that by here ownselefs and not listen to much others. Probably learning to do that if she never did like she wonted to do , now you learn how to live , all by my self i will learn how to live ,fullstop.
