After seeing a few video on RUclips form other RUclipsrs, testing the Wheeltop EDS disc version, I thought I may be interested in a rim brake set. So, after some research I bought one from AliExpress.
Over the next week I will get it fitted and set up, then take it for a spin.

Should make it good for packing into a bike box. Easy to take the bars off.
You’re lucky, most of the weight on my bike is sitting on the saddle😂 Looks good Mr D. Hoping you don’t get any issues, sounds like the firm you purchased from could be dodgy.

Yeah, fingers crossed. At least I have 90 days I think with AliExpress to raise an issue so I need to get it in a bike and tested.
It’s infinitely adjustable and once set should be ok as long as the electronics hold. 🤞
I’m just reluctant to take all the cables out of a working bike when I have only just replaced all the liners and cables.

I was starting to build a frame up for Kasia this morning. Didn’t film any. Figured, I have all the bits to build a whole bike. Just need a front mech. In the end, the more I do the more bits I need. I will do some filming on it when I pick it up next. For instance now need a longer front brake callipers pivot bolt. So waiting for that now.

@@DuncMcNutt Never fails that! I have "restored" a few bikes over the past years, this one now will be my last! I start off thinking I have most things and end up replacing everything at ones/my cost! In my young (10 yer old) I recall building a full bike from the "local burn" finding parts, even building wheels with parts thrown away! (Times have changed, there is far to much access to parts (etc) those days from the 70's - good or bad thing, I don't know! - must be a lot of wastage out there now)

Apparently it is.
Sadly most Chinese product warranties are worthless as costs more in carriage returns than product values. Also IME they just don't respond or care. Although I have to say I do like wireless electronic mechs. My SRAM Red Etap 1st gen 11sp set has been faultless, & still using the origional CR2032's in the levers! The main mech batteries still work although I have a couple of Amazon copies that work well as well & cheaper. They will work with Shimano cassettes & chainsets as well IME
Still not heard back from their support email I sent....
I did manage to source one set of little tiny O-rings, although at 1.00mm cross section, just a fraction big. Fine until done up, then squashes out of the side. Got another couple on the way at 0.9mm cross section. Fingers crossed they work.
I had hoped to get it all fitted this week, but I'm on a decorating spree so that has priority for now.
