I agree. If George Lucas had started with the prequels, I think we still would've seen Darth Vader, but he wouldn't have been Anakin Skywalker. It would've been someone else because I believe the master of Anakin would've been Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan would've died at the hands of Darth Maul

Me too! Qui-Gon was a special type of Jedi who followed his own code and followed the will of the force.
I can easily imagine how things would have changed if he survived and trained Anakin. I've read so many fanfics about this. Qui-Gon was a father figure to Anakin and that could have made a considerable difference as he knows what it means to love and lose after losing the girl he loved. . .Tahl (she was another Jedi who died tragically.) Jedi Apprentice showed this . .including just how close Qui-Gon turned permanently to the Dark Side. I love what ifs because of the changes it would make to the entire storyline.

I truly think Palpatine himself would deal with Qui Gon like how he dealt with Maul. Qui Gon was too big of a threat for Palpatine
Qui Gon would of been the perfect master. I feel like Anakin would be the absolute god he is portrayed on Mortis if Qui Gon trained him as he would reach his full potential. If Prime Luke can pull a black hole, imagine what FP Anakin would be able to do.

@@x102reddragon Legends Luke was close to his potential, but he never truly reached it. Anakin WOULD have been able to reach it because he was trained at the age of 9, is an incredibly fast learner (faster than Luke), he already had experience fighting, and he is incredibly intelligent. Imo there is more than just the force at play, you have to bring a character's qualities into light as well and Anakin beats Luke when it comes to this so he'll likely beat FP Luke 3/5 times.

I wonder if it would be a viable option; have Qui Gon fake his own death (with the council/Anakin knowing) so that Palpatine could make his move on Anakin and catch him in a trap that way. I don't think with all the skill Sidious had of lying and hiding his force powers that even if the whole council were to focus on him, they likely wouldn't see the dark side or detect him lying

Dave FIlioni said in an interview once that "the duel of the fates" was a duel for Anakin's fate. And that Qui Gon was the father figure Anakin would have needed to turn out "good". I also think that with Qui Gon, Anakin would not become so close to Palpatine as he is in the actual timeline. He is not dissatisfied with his jedi master, so he is not so open to other mentor-figures outside the jedi order.
I like your addition of Count Dooku not siding with Sidious in this timeline. It makes sense as his relationship with Qui Gon was so strong, his survival would probably impact Dooku a lot. And with the whole clone army not falling under Sith control, there goes order 66 out the window lol
The voice acting on these videos is phenomenal. They are very convincing. I do wish these videos were longer. They often grab my attention and then, BAM, it’s over.

Minor continuity error here:
The Clone Army was initially thought of by Darth Plagueis who conjured up the money for the initial ordering of the army through his Banking Clan connections. Dooku impersonated Sifo-Dyas to order that army before TPM, when Plagueis was still around to provide the funding.
I really like your videos, mostly because they aren’t biased but they’re great to listen to anytime
I also think that part 2 should maybe focus on Anakin revealing to the council of his marriage with Padme

Honestly I love cals lightsaber it’s very interesting design and all his stances are aggressive which makes him easy to roleplay as a fallen Jedi grey Jedi or just canon Jedi knight

Your 'What if' videos are the highlight of my daily RUclips viewing. Qui-Gon would have been a better master than Obi-Wan as Qui-Gon has more of a father figure that Anakin needed - Qui-Gon in this video shows that Anakin would have been better prepared as a Jedi for anything that Sidious could do. Also interesting is 1. the absolute fear that Sidious has of Qui-Gon. 2. the way Sidious tries to persuade Dooku (who is a double agent) to betray the Jedi & Republic Dooku is many things but in this 'What if' he can see through Sidious & his manipulations. - you show that both Qui-Gon & Anakin IMO would have been a formidable pairing one mind & one heart - together they are unstoppable.

If Qui-Gon Jinn had survived and Darth Maul had died on Naboo, the events of the Star Wars universe would have unfolded in a very different way. Here are a few possibilities:
1. Anakin Skywalker Might Not Have Turned to the Dark Side: If Qui-Gon Jinn had survived, he might have been able to train Anakin Skywalker in the ways of the Force. Qui-Gon had a more compassionate and open-minded approach to the Force than the other Jedi, and he might have been able to prevent Anakin from turning to the dark side.
2. The Clone Wars Might Not Have Happened: If Darth Maul had died on Naboo, he would not have been able to serve as the catalyst for the Clone Wars. Without the Clone Wars, the galaxy might have experienced a more peaceful and stable period.
3. Qui-Gon Might Have Discovered Palpatine's True Identity: Qui-Gon was suspicious of Palpatine's motives, and he might have been able to discover his true identity as a Sith Lord. This would have prevented Palpatine from taking over the galaxy and creating the Galactic Empire.
4. An Alternate Jedi Council: If Qui-Gon had survived and returned to the Jedi Council, he might have been able to sway the other Jedi to his more compassionate and open-minded approach to the Force. This would have led to a very different Jedi Council and a different approach to the Force.

The Jedi would win the Clone Wars and there would be no Order 66. They would also follow through on finding Savage Opress. With the Sith defeated, they would then install for the first in over a millenia a Jedi Chancellor to fix the corruption in the Senate, ushering in a new golden age of the Republic. this is a what if that has been done a few times by others, But still glad you guys did it.
This video's really good but it's parts about both Cound Dooku and Sifo Dyas are sadly outdated because thanks to Tales of the Jedi we now know that Dooku had already joined Darth Sidious and killed Dyas before the Phantom Menace

I think it would be quite cool if Qui gon survived, or at least fully mastered becoming a force ghost first.
I also think if he trained Anakin more like this, there would definitly be visits to Dooku, for some lightsaber training.
