With an 8 year age difference, how would Qui Gon navigate instructing the young prodigy? Would Qui Gon be able to instruct Mace better than his original instructor? This is a cool idea. Somehow Mace fits well into the disaster lineage, and Qui-Gon's influence on him would certainly make Mace one of the most interesting unconventional jedi in the order. Besides, the best part of having Mace as an apprentice is that if they're dealing some someone annoying during negotiations or something, Qui-Gon can always give Mace the cue to glare a burning hole through that person before telling them to "Take a seat."
@dreadrath True. Qui-Gon. And Mace can actually be great. And an interesting duet like the Master. And Padawan. And Mace could also teach Qui-Gon something that could then play an important role in preventing Qui-Gon’s Death because, sometimes a Padawan can sometimes too. And must play the role of a Spiritual Mentor who, guides along the right path. And it saves. And protects against The Dark Side of Personality so that you, as a Jedi, can never end tragically like, for example, Anakin.
And I thought the Council was arrogant in the _original_ timeline...

What if Anakin came to terms with his past on Tatooine?
Like literally. What if he actually had the proper help he clearly needed instead of bottling it up all the time. Tatooine is what made Anakin who he was, he may never have met Padme, Qui-Gon Jinn or Obi-Wan or become a Jedi if he had been born somewhere else.

Dooku, Qui Gon and a Young Mace losing to a Young Palpatine is certainly a reach but I enjoyed it nonetheless. What if Mace Windu Bonded with a Young Anakin after he joined the order and what if Obi Wan was there for Anakin when he was being bullied or he pushed Anakin on his Visions about his Mother?
Uh no offense to Samuel, but this story was better than his storyline in the movies.

What if after the Phantom Menace, Jango Fett freed Shmi Skywalker instead of Cliegg Lars freeing Shmi?
This was so cool, it was quite interesting to see Mace growing under Qui Gon as his master and how that changed the way he sees things, and how that in turn led to an early discovery of Sidious. The way the Council outright dismisses those claims leading to the deaths of Qui Gon and Dooku and then proceeded to deny that as well was beyond jarring, tho I think it shows how strong Mace is that he didn't break over it. The final fight with Sidious and Plaeguis was amazing, I really think is one of the best you have made, and it does feel like a real hard earned victory for the Jedi. Shame Mundi survived tho.
What if the events of Star Wars happen but with the Mace-Ezra line being inverted? Ezra is the master of the Order, who trains Caleb, who trains Depa, who trains Mace. How things would change then?

This was amazing. I’ve been a fan of your videos for a while and it’s always fun to see your interesting SW what if’s. It was also fun to see Qui-Gon training Windu getting shown some love. This is definitely an interesting scenario and it should definitely get shown some more love. Plus I think we can all agree that this is probably one of the most interesting/best scenarios in SW…but it’s a welcome one. Also if Qui-Gon did train Windu…then it would definitely be an interesting opportunity to show another side of his character and make him even more interesting. It was also nice to see Qui-Gon and Windu have this type of relationship, since these two feel like characters that would make a formidable duo. Also it’s always nice to see two badasses team up. Great job as always and I can’t wait to see what you do next.
I do have a few ideas for some possible what if’s:
1) What if Rey was a Mandalorian…essentially what if Din Djarin found Rey and took her in as a Foundling.
2) What if Ezra was a Mandalorian…something like how both his parents were Mandalorians who left Mandalore and went to start their own lives (you could still keep most of Ezra’s backstory) and potentially make Ezra and Sabine a couple (since Disney won’t, we have too…#ezrabine4ever.
3) What if Jango Fett and/or Boba Fett Joined the Republic…I think something interesting could happen with this.
4) What if Rey, Finn and Poe went back in time to the Clone Wars…this would make the World Between Worlds even more of an important focal point and I could also see them get along well with Anakin, Ashoka, Rex and the rest of the 501st (it would be fun to see Rey, Finn and Poe join the 501st)

What if the Jedi had three sectors for each rim after the fall of starlight beacon? I mean like an outpost overlooking and aiding the core, mid-rim, and outer-rim.
At 0:50 after many what ifs, the fact that an individual believes in change, can make change. Either good or worst. So what Dooku believes is true. In a realistic point of view. If an individual works towards that change, the galaxy itself will be different than the one not taken.
What if anakin skywalker at age thirteen told obi-wan about wanting to leave the jedi order and obi-wan instead asked anakin to join him in undertaking the barash vow.

I like this story as it’s very entertaining, but I think it’s not the most realistic one. Yoda would most definitely feel dookus death in the force and Dooku qui gon and mace also wouldn’t lose to palpatine

I mean, Qui-Gon was 20 when Windu was born. ( Qui-Gon was born in 92 BBY and Windu in 72 BBY ) so Qui-Gon was either deep into his Padawan years if not already a Jedi Knight. Assuming Windu became a Padawan around even say 10-12, Qui-Gon would’ve already been 30-32 by then

As we know darth vader was a natural engineer and could use mechaguru or whatever so what if he used skill to create nanobots to repair his lungs and burns while also making limbs that could conduct the force to make lightning. This could relate to inquisitor baris as she used nanobots in the bomb and he may remember nanobots and their uses. He could could also conduct experiments diguised as torture to fool sidious, learning to heal wounds, make force sensitive droids/limbs and using nano bots to manipulate mididclorians to strip or enhance the force in individuals.
What I was thinking was that he used nanobots to remove scar tissue especially around the lungs and he would be dipped in bacta or bacta would be applied this would allow him breath which means he can meditate more deeply. And for the limbs, it is possible to make material force sensitive and I was thinking he make limbs skeletal looking like in attack of the clones but would then cover the we either grafed flesh from his body or flesh made from his blood and other ingredients like perhaps kyber crystal this would make the force flow from him easier and perhaps with the sith alchemy in the limbs making his force lightning more powerful. Basically an uber vader who is perhaps stronger than full potential anakin.

The Jedi were so arrogant that if they found a book with Sith writing they wouldn't do anything about it?! BULL SHYTE! No, I call 100% BS on that one dude. Maybe they wouldn't sound the alarm and act like there was an imminent invasion, but I don't believe for a bloody nanosecond that they would not investigate the hell out of that. If just to prove themselves right that there were not Sith - but they WOULD look.
This is exactly what I was talking about in the other comment - why do you think so poorly of the Jedi? I just want to understand where this idea comes from. It's not supported in any of the Star Wars media that I can think of. And I've watched the movies and HUNDREDS of books and comics over the course of my life. I frakking nerd, I know that.
You write fun stories. I just don't understand why so often you rip the Jedi to shreds like this. Maybe you just hate religions too and so you apply that to SW? Or is there some real world political reason you dislike the Jedi so much?
The Jedi did react by sending Tyvokka to investigate the sight of the battle - which without any evidence of a skirmish - he has no reason to believe anything happened, but for the context for what inspired the council session before Tyvokka’s mission assignment:
In this story there’s tons of context for why the Jedi make such a baffling decision. The Jedi of the late Republic Era are bound to the senate. In this specific example, the Jedi have just lost support within the senate, their territory is shrinking & are being confined to less room to “help people.” Specifically this is in reference to the Jedi of TCW & TotJ. Dooku expresses numerous times that the Jedi Council operates in cooperation with the senate & the Jedi Council of TCW is constantly battling for approval of the republic ‘Wrong Jedi Arc’ is a great example. Even in AotC, Mace tells Yoda that they should tell the senate about their ability to use the force diminishing, Yoda rejects this because their political adversaries would prey on it
As for the Sith book & evidence of lightsaber marks, the Jedi of TPM reject Qui Gon’s evidence because he has an imaginative mind. Mace is Qui Gon & Dooku’s student in this - the reaction is the same. Not to mention Kashyyyk is known to be a highly dangerous planet, Yoda defeated a Terentatek when Dooku was his student. But for the specific Sith book evidence the Jedi have been duped by the Sith before. In the Bane Trilogy his apprentice walked right into the Temple & no one noticed. Even with concrete evidence the Jedi are arrogant (see RotS Council moving on Palpatine, walking in like they will walk right over the Sith like they did a millennium before). They also know for a fact that there are numerous religions around the galaxy, ones that could be inspired by the Sith or unique in their own right. Even further, in the PT, the vases in Palpatine’s office were Sith relics & the Jedi were hanging out with him every other day for 13 years without noticing who he was or what those relics were
You’re 100% right about how crazy it is, but aside from all the external context that inspired this part of the story that I just mentioned, the Council DID react. They sent one of their members, Tyvokka, to investigate. The reason they don’t do anything further than that, is Tyvokka finds no evidence of a battle - which sending him in, in the first place is a lot more of a reaction than the Council in TPM, who didn’t react
How I viewed this when I was writing, was the Jedi are preoccupied by a political soap opera. One of their more “imaginative/maverick-like” Jedi comes in with a story about a Sith. They, rightly, believe the Sith had been gone for a millennium, take the evidence, assume it’s another religion, & send a Council member to investigate. In the circumstance without an external conflict with the senate for the Jedi Council, I think their response may have been a little more reactive, but 3 of the council members from TPM are on the council at this time (Oppo, Yareal, & Yoda - Mundi & Yaddle could be on it, but we have no confirmed source yet, I added them because they’re familiar & of age)
As for me, I love the Jedi, most of my favorite characters are Jedi. But when I write, I’m honest with who they became during the PT era. But the flaws of the Jedi doesn’t change what they are, they’re the good guys. George told the story to show that the good guys make mistakes, their genocide in RotS is meant to be horrific, because they are good despite their flaws. I don’t typically write with favor or disfavor for any character/entity, if it comes off that way, it’s not intended (unless I break out of the narrative or at the end of story to say so). And for anything external, I take inspiration from SW source material or other series’ I like, without adding personal opinions on anything. For me it’s all about telling an interesting, unique, & enjoyable story, so aside from that I do hope you enjoyed this story!
I keep asking this. Where do you get this incredibly negative view of the Jedi? What in the lore gives you this impression? What books? What comics? What parts of the movies? It was the senate who was corrupt and holding the Jedi back. But you always suggest the Jedi were almost as corrupt as the senate and at the same time, like a bunch of sissies who never speak up to the Senate, while at the same time treating all their students like slaves.
