its awesome seeing these cars used for what theyre meant for, racing, but it also is heartbreaking when they wreck these expensive classics.
But they have been wrecked so many times they are not actually the real thing.
@@TheExStig a lot of the cars at Goodwood are built by real purists so I would not be surprised if most of the cars you see are the real deal
I would think guys that are doing stuff like pur sang. Creating a new one from scratch probably help this a lot. I was cringing hard watching them almost wreck.
I like that the track has really wide expanses of run off, so loosing control doesnt lead to completely destroying the vehicle.
I think the most frustrating part is that most of these mishaps are due to driver error and not knowing, or being able to sense, the limits of the car
Absolutely love to see the minis keeping up with cars that are so much bigger and more powerful, power to weight ratio is a beautiful thing
Minis never cease to crack me up.
They're like the chihuahuas who don't care how small they are and keep nipping at your heels.
Thanks to Goodwood, the younger generations can hear the noises these old engines make when pushed to the limit.
There's a lot of money flying around that track. While it kinda hurts to see a car get damaged, it's better than them sitting cooped up in some garage never getting driven.
but they are rich bastards, they can afford fixing or buying new ones for 10 milion dollars. Fuck them all.
@@writenamehere0000 Sounds to me you are jealous or envy them. Become rich and do whatever you want. I don't understand this "poor man" attitude.
@@Dabroodrooster You obviously dont understand many things...
@@writenamehere0000 I know for a fact I have more wealth than you, so seems to me you don't understand a lot of things.
Wh-
Char Aznable-
On a goddamn Goodwood video-
Got nothing but respect for someone who can take a half-million dollar Bugatti out for a spin in the giggleweeds
KlunkerRider you mean 15 million dollae
Still, it's cheaper to them than it is to you to wreck your car. I don't get it.
@@antoniomargallo5317 yea...but the cars we buy aren't this rare
@Drew Kangaroo yeah
@Drew Kangaroo ok
2:05 Rollin on that tractor camber
It's like a forza lobby trying to race nicely
You can't use "forza lobby" and "race nicely" in the same sentence. You just can't.
Couple of heart stopping moments there.
Просто класс!!!! Super!!! I love oldtimers!!!! They got a soul!!!!
Watching some of these guys go WAAY off into the grass yet still stay in control was sooo much fun to see!
Lovely to see those cars doing what they do best
What is the class of cars with the Jaguar C-Types, and Allards towards the middle of the video?
2:12 those Bugatti's have to be death traps...
Best show ever..this is what ive been waiting for.
Was a great weekend :)
that race looks expensive $$$$$$$$
Kind of reminds me of scenes from the movie, "On The Beach". These guys are pushing pretty hard for just a day at the track.
Nice to see these cars in action. Even though they are rare classics, it's ok if they have a few battle scars. They probably have another one that stays mint anyway at home.
Soooo good to see race cars actually being raced! :D
wonderful! thank you so much for not junking up sound track with stock/elevator music!
Everyone in this video has massive balls
when i watch racing part of me want to see crash but seeing this antic cars almost total themselves break my heart
Nostalgia total 🏁😍
Lucky there is plenty of run off room!
Lovely track for keeping the cars safe
Man for a while there, cars really did have a character and a face to them.
Those minis are rocketing!
They never disappoint!
Mr. Bean's Car ! XD 1:19
those guys are nuts.
Hard to believe those things are still racing. Wish I could see it.
0:28 wth😂
There are car owners and car drivers and there seems to be a lot of car owners on that track.
How do they RELATE horse power and other attributes to make it a fair race? Anyone?
As I'm watching those cars slide off the track from the oil, I'm hearing David Hobbs' voice in my head. He's saying things like "Whoaoaoa!" and "Time to deploy the kitty litter." Saw him recently on Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s show and he was as funny as ever. We've been getting the F1 World Feed here in the States for the last few years, and while commercial free is a boon, I miss Hobbo calling the race.
Arrghh! I can't look! It's like watching people lobbing Rembrandts and Michelangelos around.
Hey, watch me try and fling this 1st edition of the Guttenberg Bible as high as I can, weeeeeeeeeeeee.
When you have money you might as well spend it
Or light your mansion on fire , to see if the paint is flamnable .
Better than collecting dust in a garage.
The irony is that it would be so easy to make new much cheaper replicas to the same standards or even higher (CNC and such) if our legal systems would allow it.
The blue Mini Cooper kicks ass.
Great to see cars used the way they are intended! Kudos for people having fun with their toys, however expensive. Some of the drivers, however, are MUCH better than others; others should consider hiring an Uber to get home.
3:08 to 3:19 5 seconds penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage
If anything, this is a testament to the drivers' immense skill. Notice how, despite some VERY hairy situations, it looked like there was only one or maybe two bumps between cars. How they manage that level of safety while hooning the piss out of these beasts I will never understand.
Damn I hope most of these are kits, the repair price for some if you can find them of course or know someone probably cost a mortgage and then some
The double miss at 1:58!
クラッシックカーをほのぼの走らせる系かと思いきや激しくてイイですね
What's the model of the car 13 at 1:00 ?
1966 Lotus Cortina! I hope....
There was me thinking they weren’t giving it their all in these classic car races. I always assumed they held back for the sake of the cars!
They do that, on the Festival of Speed though.
These just really seem like the kind pf cars you dont want to get in a crash in. Instant death.
Dam helmets, i wish i could see the panic on there faces
What Ferrari is the #11? 250 GTO?
N1ko312 250 Tour de France
Are these cars, like the Bugattis replicas?
this guys must have one hell of insurance.
This right here, this gives me anxiety.
Gnarly!
hold on to er newt!
what happened at 0:29?
I would assume snap oversteer leading to a very nasty flip
It looks like the same car as at 3:03, don't know what it is or why it tipped over
I blame the poor tyres.... :)
When car sounded like dogfighter
Dam these people have an extreme amount of balls to go out and race with 10+million dollar vintage cars.and if that wasn't risky enough there racing like 20 other people.if I ever had something like that I'd be afraid to let kids sit in it
Looks expensive.
It's all so relative it's meaningless what you just said.
2:03 how many Bugattis are in that race???
Yes
Yes
Yes
Oh man, I almost couldn't watch.. I'd hate to see those gorgeous classics get smashed up.. 😢
Woohoo huashuashuas
everyone saying it looks expensive, well yeah but its still a hell of a lot cheaper than any professional race team
Fuck me that's so stressful
It's fine, just almost crashed my 20 million dollar car
Mr.Bin winner
Good wood provides the nearest thing to pre-war Brooklands. Great competitive driving with a dash of amateur overcooking and mistakes. All with maximum safety.
I got anxiety just watching this fucking hell.
This is a little terrifying to watch at some points, knowing that most, if not all of these cars are entirely devoid of all modern safety features like good brakes, seat belts, air bags, roll cages, or crumple zones. And to watch these things fly around corners and lose traction, only to have all the other racers narrowly missing them at these incredible speeds is just breath-taking. I can imagine a lot of people dying at races like these.
+Paul “Animus” Driftmier when men we're men...
Who cares about that . We can get another driver . But an original motor , transmission , heck a bugatti bumper !
Bugatti bumper? What's one of those? ;-)
There really aren’t very many cooler cars than the Lotus Cortina
If one of those pre war cars rolls, who ever is driving it, is dead. They have balls to race these things knowing the amount of deaths that have occurred in these types of cars.
If these cars start to roll - JUMP OUT, and just hope you don't get run over by a following car. That was the unwritten rule in these cars' heyday...
PUG 676 is a public danger
Bring back the old F1 design back as a road legal
All these old carts have poor grip on the track😜
Best way to make new friends, drop oil on the track.
Part of me loves this.
Part of me says hey, some of these are museum pieces worth over $10 million.... this is just stupid.
At least lots of those cars are replicas, if I had a Bugatti Type 35 replica like those I'd certainly take em to races
But it still gives me anxiety to see any of them nearly crashing from time to time
some of these rich guys have more money than sense
There were a lot of bad drivers.
+GetajobUAhole How can you tell?
+GetajobUAhole How can you tell?
+GetajobUAhole How can you tell?
+perca444 Three ways. First, these are cars of private owners which means they probably don't have much experience or they are old and have slow reaction times.. Second, running cars of different capabilities at once takes real skill by all all the drivers to know how to approach lesser cars and when lesser cars need to allow passing. Third, just watch the video of how many cars went to the weeds. I could point to specific cars and technique but space does not allow.
most of them have drivers to race the car for them.
I like the little clown cars
So this is what rich people do with their money . I have two Bugatti replica cars, save the originals and drive the kit cars to their limits. Awesome cars driven like they were meant to be, would be a shame to crack one up though!
Ythhto
I don't care...
but I'm bringing my car home with no damage
cutthroat wheeled coffins, unagitated pilots, jawdropping coldblooded pilots, very british.
yeah very poor driving and no respect honor or awerness, that fit the bill indeed
So many stolen cars!
-Are they not stolen??
Driven like it though...
Mr Bean
a bunch of stubborn old dudes with one foot in the grave, the other on a banana peel means a lot of blue flags.
It’s rather annoying watching so many people in so many excellent vintage cars making so many stupid mistakes.
Some of the members should not be there.
Death traps
Lots of jerks in racing. I cant even play a clean race in Gran Turismo without idiots ramming me. Now i watch races in real life and they still do the same. LOTS of beta males out there.
Wow, such an alpha male; Complaining about a game and calling other people "beta" off a classic race series
You truly are the pinnacle of humanity, i humbly praise you
all british cars look either stunningly beautiful or horrendously ugly
Rich don’t = can drive
you may have money to buy a car like that but you dont have the skills to drive a car like that
Handling of these cars is horrible.. Whatta rubbish.
